Anton, Catarina, and Lori are back with endearing old friends and new visitors to the Azores. At long last, they’re on the cusp of making a success of their rural hotel and of realizing their dream to preserve their unique culture. But everything will hinge on attracting visitors to their island home. For generations, children have been warned to stay clear of the Devil’s Hands. Now the collapsed basalt arch seems to have claimed another victim, this one with no identity and what seems to have been a short, sad life. Anton, Catarina, and Lori must set things right before the discovery threatens the tourism that their islands depend on. Death at the Devil’s Hands offers a glimpse into the history, culture, and people of São Miguel.
