I don’t think this was anything for me… I do like the show bridgerton but it does not feel like this book added anything but instead just repeated what is happening in the show. If you fell in love with the world of Bridgeton this book might be something for you but I had hopped for a lot more then what I got.

This book is made for Bridgerton fans. It’s so satirical that I couldn’t stop chucking throughout reading. It’s full of little nods to the show, which was great. The writing perfectly mimicked Lady Whistledown’s, which I thought was great. It’s a fun little read for anyone that loves Bridgerton. Is it a paragon of literature? No. But it’s not meant to be. It’s meant to be a quick read and give you a laugh. Really enjoyable.

I listened to the Audiobook and the narrator was fantastic; adding just the right amount of high-class sass to really sell the material. I am excited to read the Bridgerton series after listening to this - there were several reviews that stated it regurgitated the plots - and in that case, I’m interested to see how they line up!

Had more in common with the TV show then the books, was fun but kinda ho hum at the same time, best read after you've seen the show and between other readings.

Social media style quizzes at the end, so pleased to introduce you to ...

What a hoot. A little bit naughty and very funny. This was clearly penned by someone who’s a fan of the show and the books. I love that. The illustrations were fantastic too! Good job indeed.

It’s amusingly written but I found it kinda boring. It just rehashes the TV show. So unless you really loved the Netflix show or don’t feel like watching, I would probably pass.

Hilarisch om te lezen als je fan bent van Bridgerton. Helaas is het boek alleen gebaseerd op seizoen 1 van de Netflix serie.

Just a silly little buffer read I got as a gag gift since I love Bridgerton. This was such a fun poke at the show and the regency era and I enjoyed my time reading.

It was fine. I know it’s based on Bridgerton stuff, but I was hoping for at least a little bit of history to be included

[Audiobook]

This was ridiculously entertaining, and I'm not even a Bridgerton fan?? There were some references that went over my head (I'm guessing there must be some kind of ~~sensual spoon-licking~~ scene given how often that was brought up) but even so I was laughing out loud from the first chapter, when the narrator cautioned against "your silk gloves falling below your elbows (saucy minx!)" and described the quintessential Regency gentleman as having "designer stubble" and an "unspeakable bulge". The tone of voice was absolutely perfect!

Ladies who place their bonnets at a jaunty angle may think they appear jolly and youthful, but they actually look mentally imbalanced.

Although – minor quibble – the author seems to have confused tight-laced Victorian corsets with bust-boosting Regency stays… Have you SEEN an empire-waist gown? You don’t need to cinch your natural waist in until you can’t breathe because it’s hidden under yards of flowing fabric!
