Karen Lynch is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.
She grew up in Newfoundland, Canada - a place rich in colorful people and folklore to which she attributes her love of the supernatural and her vivid imagination. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina years ago and was immediately charmed by the southern people but she says she will always be a newfie.
Though she loves supernatural fiction, she has a soft spot for Charlotte Brontë and Jane Austin. She is a fan of classic rock, country and classical music but her favorite music is the sound of a good thunderstorm or a howling blizzard. Two of her favorite past times are baking artisan breads for her friends and spending quality time with her two German Shepherds.
Loved this series. I always find myself coming back to this books when I’m in a book slump. It’s about teenager Sara who finds out she is more than just your regular human and is locked in a middle of a supernatural war. Her friends and her fight scary vampires and monsters while trying to navigate high school. It’s a quick read that keeps you on your toes at every turn.
If you love kick a$$ heroines and swoon worthy guys who have more character than the Edward cullens of the book world then this is the series for you.
My only complaint is that the main character is too perfect but since these books are such a pleasure I can easily look past that.
I love this whole series. Someone should introduce this author to reverse harem. So many good partners for the fmc. Although I loooove Nikolas don't get me wrong. I love that there was growth but no miraculous getting good at fighting or using powers. Amazing series.
One of my favorite books and trilogy. Read it more than thrice. Heroine is strong and admirable. Hero follows suit. Therefore it is inspiring. The plot is strong and therefore, the books are a page turner.
5⭐️ For all three books- would give more stars if I could 😍
Relentless Trilogy by Karen Lynch. I read these books years ago, so it was certainly time for a re-read. As she has a new book to this series coming out in early March. I can't tell you how excited I am after all these years to read it. I absolutely adore these books so much, they are my comfort reads when I need cheering up, there everything. Karen is such a fantastic author, she is one of my favourites. I pick up any book of hers knowing that it's going to be amazing without even reading the blurb.
The characters are written incredibly well, you got to love Sara Grey, I mean even the name has trouble written all over it #laughing. I love paranormal romance, it is my favourite book trope, and this had everything to demons, monsters and vampires and so many more creatures.Slow burn love and romance. So much non-stop action with these warriors. All three books follow the story of Sara Grey and Nikolas, omg Nikolas Danshov, I wish he was my Warrior, yes please, he no doubt my favourite out of these books. Sara and Nikolas makes each other lifes change. Poor Nikolas I gotta say I was laughing so much with Sara and her bright ideas, with her friends Roland and Peter,Jordan and Chris and loads more lovable characters you will love.
This is an out of this world series, you won't want it to end, I know I didn't and reading it again just made me love it even more. If you haven't read this series then I really highly recommend you do, you wont regret it, it's a story that will stay with youforever, I know I will never grow bored of these books. Tempted is out early March and I cannot wait.
Okay...this series...I don’t even know how to describe it. I want to say that I loved it but there were enough books that ruined it for me to say that. The storyline is creative and fascinating. The writing style...VERY juvenile. I wish the author wasn’t so obsessed with love stories because some of the books would have been really good without the stupid love interest. EVERY SINGLE BOOK has a love story. The writing does get better as the books progress. Haven and Fated are absolute trash! They are the worst books I’ve ever read. Haven is so boring and lacking character development. Fated was held back by the love interest and Beth is a VERY weak character. When I read the series again, I will only read Warrior (until the part where the third book picks up), then pick it up with the 3rd, Rogue, then finish it off with the 7th, Hellion. I may or may not read 1 and 2 again. But I absolutely will never read Haven or Fated again!
❤️❤️❤️I have listened to these books several times. I just love them. The characters are awesome, especially the girls, Sara, Beth, Jorden and Emma. Books that show these young women being the hero’s and great ones at that. It’s shows there determination and love for what they believe in. And as for the guys, Nicholas, Chris, Mason, Hamed, Roland and Peter, WOW not only do I imagine them in my mind as the most mouth watering guys in the world they are truly devoted to there mates. No Devore or cheating just death will part them. Really these books are great I only wish they would continue with the rest of there lives you know with kids and whatever else happens in there lives. Thank you for such great listening.
Such a good series and love the development of the characters. Wish there was more to Sara and nikolas as I do feel like we have only just touched on their story. Hopefully karen will come back to them
I actually really liked this series and have moved on to #4 and #5. It has a Twilight / Mortal Instruments feel / read about it. If you like either of those series give it a read.
