Loved It!!

What a great book because its one that can make you laugh and feel for the characters right from the start. Darren has been lucky in his life with football and now he’s looking to purchase a new house. Just one little problem the timing between when his sells his and the new house opens up, he is left with no place to stay. That is until he finds out that he can stay at his friend’s empty house.

His friend’s little sister, Kendra just so happens to be staying in this very same “empty” house. Darren has had eyes for her so he’s hoping that things might take a turn and he can win Kendra over…but Kendra is having none of it. I think their chemistry says otherwise.

What a fast-paced fun read that left me with that “feel good” feeling. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Jacob is a top favorite author for me and books like Kissing the Quarterback is the reason why. Kendra and Darren are the perfect match. She is sassy, stubborn, and independent. He is charming, loyal, and protective! In KTQ you get fun, humor, wit, a little taboo, smokin’ sexy times..sprinkled with a little angst and you have perfection. Loved loved loved this book! Must read.

KTQ has it all!

I have to laugh out loud because that's how I started the book. Laughing. What a great start. Darren and Kendra have Hella chemistry. I will go as far to say they are my favorite couple.
This book has everything.  Laughter, sadness, suspense, a little thrilling and a lot of swoony romance. From cover to cover nothing but goodness. Loved everything about it. This is one you can't put down.

Throwing at love!

Darren has been in love with Kendra since college but hasn't asked her out as she's his best friends sister. Kendra has been all in for Darren since they first met but thinks he doesn't feel the same way. When they end up sharing a home together, the chemistry between them just builds. When Kendra is attacked in a club, the relationship changes and they realise how the other feels! This was a fantastic read, with great characters and amazing chemistry! Jacob knows how to give you the perfect HEA with a touch of comedy

Kissing the Quarterback is the second book in the Charleston Pirates series by Jacob Chance. It's no surprise that I love this book, as I seem to love everything Jacob writes.

This tale is my favorite trope, with a best friend's sister relationship. And omg, I love it all.

Darren's been in love with Kendra for quite a while, and it's awesome to see them finally get together.

Their tale is full of tension, as well as a whole lot of steam! Major steam!

Everything about this story works for me. The writing is fabulous, the background is perfectly set up, and the pacing is flawless.

Kissing the Quarterback is a must read for any sports romance fans. This Jacob Chance is a pure delight and is sure to satify.

Love this story! Love these characters! Love EVERYTHING Jacob Chance writes!!

This is a perfect Best Friends Little Sister story, there’s a little history to set the story, a whole lot of tension and the perfect amount of steam when that tension gets it’s release!

Darren is the epitome of a good guy, and sometimes they don’t finish last 😉. He has been in love with Kendra from the moment they met, but the timing was never right, until it was.

Read this book, spend time with these characters, because they are some of the best out there!!

Absolutely loved it! Jacob’s writing is always spot on and this one is no different. He has humor, warmth, hot sexy scenes and even a little suspense thrown in for good measure. Darren and Kendra are fun, full dimensional characters that you are rooting for the whole time. There are also many cameos from past characters that made it seem like a Chance reunion, which only makes me want to re-read his entire back library again because I miss them all. Definitely recommend!

This booknhas been so much fun. With laugh out loud moments, right from the start, to holy hotness, it hit every mark for me. Both Darren and Kendra are totally likeable, especially, for me, Darren, who has heart, generosity and is very protective. He is faced with a dilemma! His incredible attraction to Kendra and his loyalty to Flynn. Hop aboard the train to hot Ville and have fun with this great pair! 💖💖💖💖💖

I'm a girl who is obsessed with football & Jacob Chance's writing so having him write a romance with football, well I'm in heaven! Darren is a Super Bowl winning QB, who is having to temporarily stay at his friend's empty house since his former house has sold before his new house is ready to go. Things take a hilarious turn when he sees that he'll be sharing that empty house with Kendra (his friend's sister) which has him delighted to be honest since he's had eyes for her so he's determined to get her to give him a chance. Luckily for the readers, Kendra isn't having any of it despite the fact that the sparks are flying between them because let's face it, it's usually the man who plays hard to get LOL! This story had a ton of humor which kept me laughing a lot with a kicker of feel good heart at the end of the day, plus I'm all about anything having to do with football. You simply can't go wrong with this story and/or Jacob Chance so you know what to do as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

WOW! An interesting opening—"She sat on my face before I even knew her name." A good author tries to entice his readers with that first line. Well, that certainly sounds ominous. Things are starting to happen pretty quick; “getting it on” right at that first line! But wait; that is not what is happening. It’s an accidental “bump-into-each-other” at the gym and thus, the first introduction for us and to each other of Darren and Kendra. Sparks fly between Darren and Kendra but as soon as he discovers that she is his best friend, Flynn’s sister, the “do-not-touch” sign starts to glow.

That sign stays bright for seven years until Super Bowl Sunday when Darren’s team, the Patriots, wins the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy and Kendra reappears for the victory celebration. A passionate kiss on the patio leads Kendra to think that their friendship will be ruined and she pushes Darren away thinking this will end their chance at romance. But no, Darren, needing a place to live, and Flynn, providing it, finds Darren and Kendra soon sharing a house. One thing leads to another and the inevitable romance blossoms. But our most worthy author does not leave it at that. No! His love of suspense and intrigue introduces us to a stalker and the reader soon is playing private detective wondering who this sneaky prowler might be.

I have been following this author ever since he wrote his first book and have commented on many of them. At this point in time, I don’t think I can praise him more to elevate him any higher amongst his peers. I particularly love his writing when he expresses himself using language that is melodic and poetic for his similes and metaphors, especially when he writes his romantic scenes. He is a writer who always put a bit of himself in each book (steak and cheese grinders e.g.) and it has now become a game to find all those “here-I-am” characteristics. I hope that his touch on Vampires indicates that he is thinking of writing a paranormal story, a subject that I love to read about.

Again, the sex is sizzling hot. Although he admits he is not fond of writing these scenes and leaves them to the end, he is an expert at making them so vivid that they pop off the page. When he adds humour to these scenes, it makes them all the more real.

Reintroducing his characters from other books in this series is a good touch because we see where they too are in their lives. And the clever and humorous banter continues amongst these male sports heroes even as they age and have families of their own. I have enjoyed reading how Jacob has added to this family of sportspeople. He always leaves us wanting more and although not a cliffhanger, he leaves a couple of characters waiting in the wings to also find their happily-ever-after, maybe in another book.

The Quarterback deserves that kiss.

There's one thing I can always be assured of when reading a Jacob Chance book ... plenty of jaw dropping one-liners. Boy did he begin KISSING THE QUARTERBACK with an absolute classic! Yes, I'll admit, my mind went straight to the gutter, I was so wrong. It was a simple case of an accidental fall and landing that was going to change the lives of Darren Turner and Kendra Shaughnessy forever. Jacob successfully set the tone for his story with his hilarious beginning, so strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.

" ... we're both attracted to one another. It's like sparking a flame next to gasoline - inevitably, it's going to explode."

She is his best friend's sister and totally off limits. Seven years have passed, and nothing has changed ... until a celebration, a kiss, and emotions that can no longer be ignored all come together and sparks ignite. Just as quickly the sparks are doused, but what will happen when Darren and Kendra find themselves unexpectedly sharing a house? Will they ignore the obvious chemistry, or will they be content keeping their close friendship? Of course, the inevitable is going to occur, and when it does everything absolutely sizzles.

" ... we are what's been missing. Being with her is life-changing, and I'm never letting her go."

I love Jacob's stories, the with, the humour, the characters, they all make for addictive reading. I loved Darren. This man was everything, caring, protective, loving ... for crying out loud he could even cook ... perfection. Then there's Kendra, what a woman!! She had full on sass, strength, independence, and a feistiness I loved. She knew how to stand her ground, yet also give some leeway when it was needed. Together Darren and Kendra were perfect ... just a shame they took so long to get to where they should have always been.

Catching up with Flynn, Nadia, and those hilarious Boston Terrier men was the icing on the cake. Trying to find the little 'easter eggs' that Jacob puts of himself in each of his books was fun, yes there are a few in this one. What's a Jacob story without a little bit of suspense thrown in, a twist that I wasn't expecting. KISSING THE QUARTERBACK is another amazing read from this truly gifted author, and definitely should not be missed.

I was waiting for Darren & Kendra's story after reading Changing the Player. I knew that they would be complicated, but that it would be worth the ride.

This book was so well written that I wanted so much more of them after the ending. The characters are well developed. The story flows in a way that I felt that I was there with them on every page.

Darren is best friends with Kendra's brother. They were attracted to each other from the minute they met. Once they both realized that it would be impossible to be together because of Kendra's overbearing, yet loving brother, they stood in the friend zone for years.

Years go by and Darren needs a place to stay. Flynn offers him a place to stay forgetting that his sister is also staying there. Darren & Kendra were both shocked when they realized that they would be living under the same roof.

It didn't take long for the sexual tension to begin, but it took a little bit for them to cross the friendship line.

I don't know if it was how great their friendship was written or how easily the story flowed, but this book was amazing. It was such a pure and natural progression from friends to lovers that I couldn't help but smile and swoon over these two.

The quick wit that I love in Jacob's books was there along with the strong friendships. There were a couple of twists that were well written and not just thrown in to enhance the story.

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. Sometimes you read a book and you know that the characters will stay with you long after you read "The End". Darren & Kendra will definitely be that couple for me.

Another great Jacob Chance read! If you haven’t read JC’s books you really are missing out. No matter the genre, his storylines are always well written with amazing characters. Kissing the Quarterback is no exception. It’s full of fun, sass and romance. Our hero and heroine meet in the craziest of fashions when she accidentally sits on his face. Trust me you’ll just have to read it to understand (wink wink). But sadly they quickly learn no matter the attraction they aren’t meant to be. You see she doesn’t date jocks and he can’t date his best friend's little sister. But does that hold true years later when everyone is an adult? Or when they are throw together, sharing a home for a few weeks?

Great read you don’t want to miss out on. I highly recommend grabbing it up ASAP, you be so glad you did.

Jacob Chance blew me away yet again with this story. Darren and Kendra are amazing. They have been in love with each other for years. Unfortunately they can’t be together. They have tried to avoid each other , but when circumstances make them become roommates. It becomes way to hard to keep the attraction at bay.

When Kendra gets attacked , Darren is the one that takes care of her and she finds safety and solace in his arms. They give in to there feelings and there’s no going back.

Unfortunately Kendra’s attacker is not found and when he strikes again, Darren is right there saving her. Even Flynn can not deny they belong together.

My favorite part, which is also the sweetest.
When Darren surprises Kendra with her dream home on the beach and asks her to marry him.

The book ends with the annual 4th of July game in the Hamptons. We get to see some of our Favorite Boston Terriers. It’s awesome and a ton of laughs.

Darren and Kendra’s Story is truly amazing, you will not be disappointed!!

The second in the series, and this time follows Darren and Kendra, who have had a mutual attraction from their first meeting (in the Prologue- at college) move to present day, and those feelings between them are still there, and what follows, without giving too much away, is another well written, enjoyable, DUAL POV story with great attention to detail in terms of mixing the sports side and the off the charts chemistry of the leads, also the cameo's of previous characters from the Boston Terrier's popping up along the way. It's got some LOL moments, some slight drama/suspense towards the end, that is resolved quickly. I hope there will be more to come!

I LOVED IT!

(4 stars)

While working out at the gym, Darren never quite thought he would meet the "one" the way he meets Kendra. Imagine his disappointment when he learns that girl he can't get out of his head is his best friend's little sister, which makes her super off limits. Fast forward seven long years, and both Kendra and Darren are still dancing around each other, each wanting the other but not willing to risk everything. Until some drama shakes things up and the two are now not only roomies but have crossed that line just a little bit. Will Darren risk losing his best friend for the love of his life, or will he let her slip through his fingers?

What a cute read this turned out to be; I ate this story up and when it was done, I wanted just a tad bit more. This story gives us a bit of everything, drama, hot naughty bits, cuteness and even a dash of danger. I give this 4 stars.

This book is a perfect example of why people should read Jacob Chance’s books. It has humor, steam and you can feel it’s coming from a slightly different perspective of romance…a guy’s POV.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not even close to being crude or anything like that. You can just feel the author has a better understanding of an alpha male and how they think. It gives the story something you didn’t know you were missing. I mean the conversation after Darren and Kendra’s first time together is 100% what I’d expect from my husband…and I loved how authentic it felt.
Now about the story…can I have Darren? I mean, to have someone love and care about you that much is a dream come true. And Kendra, she is everything I want to be. These two are absolutely perfect together.
This is definitely a book you want to grab and read during these cold nights. You won’t be disappointed.

It had chemistry between the characters, sexy scenes, suspense and hilarious banter…It was just amazing! Kendra and Darren were perfect together. Their chemistry, their personalities, their humor…they really balanced each other! Dare I say my new favorite Jacob couple? Ugh, I know, it’s so hard because to say because he has so many amazing couples but there was truly something about this story and everything in it I just loved! It deserves 10 stars so I highly recommend this bad boy!

Another 5 star review forJacob Chance.
This is the second book in the Charleston Pirates series and just like theme first one , this one does not disappoint.
It’s got Kendra and Darren , who by the way has loved her from afar for years. See she’s Darren’s best friends little sister. In other words, hands off. But the fates have a different idea. Darren sells his house but doesn’t have another one to live in till the closing of his new home. To the rescue is his friend. Ge has an entry house …. Nope Kendra’s there. The fates align.
When the unthinkable happens to her n comes Darren.
I can’t write anymore cause I feel like I’ll give it all away with spoilers…
I just loved reading about past friends that we all know from Jacobs previous books.

Perfection, from the writing, to the characters, to the plot, I loved everything about this book. I found myself so wrapped up in Darren and Kendra I felt like I was right there with them. Their relationship felt so natural and real. I easily connected with both of them throughout the book, I especially loved Kendra! Jacob took this story in a direction I wasn’t expecting and I devoured every minute of it. This book is my new favorite from him and I can’t wait to see what he writes next!

Darren 😍💖

Darren and Kendra met in what I believe could be the more hilarious circumstances!!! 🤣🤣
But when Kendra finds out who he is she takes off without looking back!

With this been a brother-best-friend/ best-friend-little-sister I did not expected the plot twist!!!!

If your looking for a read that would make you giggle, lol, and has a bit of suspense, Kissing the Quarterback is exactly what you want!

Hoping to get Levi’s story soon!

I devoured this in just one sitting just like the previous book. Darren and Kendra's story was so well written that I couldn't put it down. I liked the flow and pace of how their story went. I think it was perfect. Though I don't know how Darren could deny his feelings for Kendra for 7 years. I mean, the chemistry and attraction between them is apparent and off the charts. But it feels oh so good when they finally give in to each other. I absolutely loved their story.
