When you live in Hell, you're bound to get burned...
I just never expected this kind of torment. They've taken what's mine: My mother, Latham, Aric, even my magical shifter belongs to them now. And the one man who I thought I could trust in all of this is my worst abuser. Torben rejected me the moment we stepped foot into this ashen hellhole. He does their bidding by throwing me into deadly trials that are bound to break me. Poisonous magic, sinister games, and realms of chaos are all hand delivered by him. Sometimes he protects me from the brut of it… and sometimes I think he wants me dead as much as they do.
But I won't give them the satisfaction. Because I didn't come to Hell to die.
I came to survive.
Reading Note Hell Kissed is a sinfully sexy reverse harem featuring a badass heroine, drool worthy heroes, and an epic journey that'll take you straight to Hell and back! Recommended for readers 18 and over.
A.K. Koonce is a USA Today best selling author. She's a mom by day and a fantasy and paranormal romance author by night. She keeps the fantastical stories in her mind on an endless loop, while she tries her best to focus on her actual life and not that of the spectacular but demanding fictional characters who always fill her thoughts
Had to stop reading at 25%. I usually love this authors books, but when we find out that one of the potential harem is actually f#####g the queen, I felt like throwing my Kindle at the wall!!
I know that he’s basically her slave, but it’s just icky and totally spoiled it for me. Not to mention that there was light M/M in the first book (which is never mentioned in the blurb), I could forgive that, but not this! I’ll be very wary of reading any of her books in the future.
I had hopes that the second book would be better, but to me, it wasn't. The majority of what was happening and how it happened was confusing or didn't make sense to me... why would you spend days locking up the person you fell for and be insistent there's nothing you can do against the Queen, but then randomly let her lose and then break out your friends from their prisons whennyouve never done something rebellious. There was no triggering event to bring on the change, which made the actions confusing to me. Also, why would MC release the person who tormented and hurt her for the majority of her life from his prison in hell? He would have tortured her friend if he had lived and was actively trying to rape the MC.

OMG! WTF!?! Aric! I don't even know. This book...being in Hell...well it sucks. Finding her Mom and finding out what the truth of it all...rough. Hela, that evil witch. The guys though. 🥵🥵 If you don't get totally turned on throughout this book did you even read it? 🔥🔥I'm just saying!?! So here's your formal warning ⚠️ you will want to punch Hela, knife creepy snake guy 🤢, rat-roaches 🚫 climb that man like a tree, ride a dragon 😉, and everything else in this beautiful book will make you want more. Okay where's book 3? 😁
I enjoyed this book. It did give me anxiety when she was put in a cage without a way to get out. Her Torben being sexually abused and his brokenness hurt my heart. There was no discussion on how to get out of that mess. They somehow got out for a night only to come back and Meyers mom was murdered in front of her. She snaps, and goes nuts on Hela, but Meyers bleeding heart comes back to bite her in the butt when Kyvain rips her dragon away from her. Kyvain the guy she saved from eternal torment. Ugh. I’m not sure I want to read the next book but I will. I need to know what happens next.
A.K. has done it again. Spinning is a gripping tale of hell and other realms. A.K. has a knack for world building and this book is no different. I really enjoyed how she manages to mix Hell and Norse Mythology. It’s a different take than anything I’ve read before and I certainly enjoyed it. These characters wormed their way in to my heart in the first book and I liked getting more of a background on them in this book. Aric is still my favorite because he is unabashedly himself and it’s beyond funny. I can’t wait to see what else A.K. has planned for these characters.
Fire Kissed seemed a shorter book than the first one but that being said it was in no way lacking in action, pace, twists and turns and steamy scenarios. Rhys (FMC) is still the captive of Hela but in the progress of the book she ends up in Hell (quite literally!!). The course of which brings Rhys and the guys a lot closer. Its a great read and that cliffhanger ending was just killer!! I cant wait for book 3
So we have all heard the phrase I'd go through hell and back for you, this book is a whole new definition of that saying. Rhys goes to another realm of hell just for the men she loves. Rhys gets to show her strength more in this book as well as her softer more delicate side. My favorite guy is Aric he's so carefree and tries to see the good in a situation, like his collection. This is an amazing series and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Man, I think my heart stayed broken for 95% of this book. And yet that other 5% was magical. Some say it always gets worse before it gets better, and that is this book of the series. A lot of the mysteries have been revealed and it’s definitely mind blowing. This one has growth for everyone as Rhys and the guys are learning things. It’s been one hell of a ride!
I think I had this book read In about an hour. I feel like it was just getting good and then left on another cliffhanger. I don't love how authors aren't just writing one good book and that they feel like they have to write series where the readers are most likely going to forget about the book by the time the next one in the series comes out
First time reading books by A K and i really am enjoying them. I love Rhys and her 4 protectors, but I have to say Aric is my favorite he loves her and is not afraid to show it or let her in after a lifetime of torment. Gotta totally respect and love a dragon shifter from hell that knows a beautiful strong loving woman when he sees one!! Off to the 3rd book
I have mixed feelings, I enjoyed the first book more and I feel like this needed to be a bit longer. There are some plot holes that I’m hoping get covered in the last one.. but it feels like some stuff that happened should have been explained more. I kept asking myself “why” throughout this a lot. I still love the characters and relationships though
AK writes magic as she weaves us thoughout the different realms of hell. They are so vivid and my imagination went wild. I was happy that Rhys was able to express her love for her guys. I hope she doesn't regret letting the bad guy out.
Well everything just went sideways for our poor heroine. She starts out as a captive, finds some small measures of happiness, seems to be coming out on top and it all goes wrong. Book 2 keeps you at the edge of your seat with all of the uncertainty, the relationships and revelations. It was such a good read and I cannot wait for book 3.
I'm really enjoying this series. Aric is still my favourite but we get to know a bit more about Torben in this installment. Such a great world is created with brilliant characters it's a pleasure to read. Can't wait for book 3
A.K. Koonce is one of my favorite authors. You know when she has a book out that it will be worth reading. And this book did not disappoint again. Its a must read book and cant wait til the next one.
This series has a outstanding story. When I think I have the story figured out boom I'm completely wrong. This story sucks you in and you need more. I definitely look forward to the next book.
I'm kinda disappointed by how short this book was. Although it was informative, it ended to quickly. I'm shocked by what I read and hope the next book is even better
The story keeps getting better. The spice doesn’t take over the plot which I really like and I loved the relationship development in this. I did see some of the plot twists coming though but it was still an enjoyable read

Wow this book is on fire! Literally hellfire! Madly in love with the characters. Especially Rhys since she is building character without her wolf supporting her. But she is one heck of a firecracker as she plays the evil king and queens game. I love it!
