Sometimes you just know...
This short read packs a lot of heart and soul (and angst, and heat) into its pages.
Reegan Slay is a popular lesbian fiction author and Jomana Silver has been assigned as her personal bodyguard for the duration of a romance convention. Both women feel an immediate attraction when they meet though they aren't each other's "usual type". As the convention proceeds, Reegan will have need of her bodyguard.
I like Jomana and Reegan and they felt like a good match. There is some violence in this story which might be an issue for some, but I think author Billie Stang handles it with sensitivity and I'm keen to see what she comes up with next.
Five "amazing or terrific" stars. Recommended.

Triggers/spoilers - rape (in the past)
This story seemed rushed at the end. There were some serious topics/threads that were not really discussed. I was ... this happened ... this happened.
