The past isn’t buried or left in peace. A new threat rises its ugly head, this time threatening not just her, but her sisters and her friends. Will Lexi find the strength to fight back for the future she’s building with Dimitri, Lucian, and Chase, or will the darkness devour her and those she loves?
Fans of Vampire Academy and Legacies will want to sink their teeth into Beta Wolf Academy!

Wolf Chosen is the second book in JJ King’s new university set fated-mates shifter series. It’s a full-length paranormal romance you won’t want to miss about three swoon-worthy shifters and the feisty pink-haired heroine caught between them. No choosing required.
If you have read Fall Semester (Omega Wolf Academy, #2) This is the same book.
This is a good story line, but it still needs to flow better. Lexi is at the OWA and in love with three guys. Which they are still working out. One of her sisters has returned with her (note I would have liked there have been more on her character and life on campus). We have a new group of friends that we learned a little about about but not much (would like their characters to come out more and how they evolve around Lexi). There is some mystery and heart ache. WE even have suspense and what will happen. I gave it a four cause the story line is great and parts of the book you do not want to put down.

Fall semester at Beta Wolf Academy and thing are gearing up. Classes are in full swing. It is obvious that our MC has not just one but three mates. As she struggles with the nightmares from her previous life she has a sister who has joined her on campus. She is trying to get acquainted with her new mates as individuals. Who are these very different men?. Plus juggle a full class load. It's a lot for anyone. Especially someone with a troubled past.
Wolf Chosen is the second book in the Beta Wolf Academy series, which turned out to be better than the first book, I loved it. It's fall semester at Beta Wolf Academy, after the events in the previous book Lexi has been away, away from the school and away from her mates but now she is back and ready to get back to classes and ready to figure things out with her mates.
Even after the setback with Randell things for Lexi are better and a little worse. Her PTSD is still very prevalent but now she has her guys for support, Lexi is making friends, and someone from Lexi's past is now attending the academy. Lexi is working through her crap but now that she is in a relationship she now has to consider the feelings of three other people, feelings besides lust and attraction. Things went a little fast, Lexi and the guys bonded quick and now Lexi wants to take the time to get to know her mates, go on dates, learn about their pasts, what they like, who they are, and the such. It's so cute seeing the bond between Lexi and the guys, between just the guys themselves, nothing is perfect, they don't have on blinders but something real and strong is there.
In the previous book we got to know a little about Lucian's past, this time there is a better hint at the man himself. He's sweet, caring, likes to read, loves the movies, and has a darkness all his own. There is also more information about Chase's family and beliefs, while Demetri darkness comes forward. Something happens with him and we get a better look at his life in Russia and see even more of that Darkness that's in him. Turns out, looks like each of them (except for maybe Chase) have anxiety, issues, and a bit of darkness they have to deal with, Lexi isn't alone in that and I appreciate how they care for Lexi, how they think about her, and have patience about her anxiety.
I will say that King has taken a unique look at the mating bond, in this series, yes it Fate that it occurs but there is also a scientific side that is being explored and I find it interesting as well as a little unsettling. I like the idea of magic and fated mates and don't really wanna look at it from a scientific perspective, it losses some magic that way. However, if I had to have science involved then this wasn't a bad way to look at it and I have a feeling that something else dealing with science is gonna be mentioned at some point in this series. I really enjoyed how the story tied into the Alpha Academy series, I may have only gotten to the first book into the series but I recognize the tie-in. With Lexi being a book-nerd and geeking out, which endured me to her, there was a book series that Lexi referenced that I love so that was pretty cool.
The main plot in the story is continuing with the problems from Lexi's past arising and things once again go horribly wrong. I have a guess about the prophecy but it looks like that question won't be answered yet. King had surprised with the way she went with the story, I hadn't expected it to go that way and I'm really wondering how the story is going to continue with Lexi and her guys now that certain things have been revealed to them.
While I liked the first book Wolf Mated, it didn't give me that feeling, and things were confusing especially about the bloodlines. Wolf Chosen is an improvement, I enjoyed the story and things were so much more clearer for me, not only about the bloodlines but about what was going on in general. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in the Beta Wolf series.
I’m not really sure how to describe what I’m feeling after reading this book. There was a lot of soul searching, bonding as a mate group, secrets from Dimitri, and her melt down on her sister. The plot didn’t move at all in this book, until the very very end. It was more or less fluff, to move the story forward towards the point of climax. The first book was great. There was a lot of back story, so we kinda understood the plot of that book as it was introduced at the beginning and, thoughts in the middle and then an explosive ending. This book, was months later after the attempted kidnapping. She arrives back at the academy and slots into the next semester. There’s no idle chat about if she passed her previous courses, no mention of the teachers and Dean pushing her through due to her trauma. I feel, if we get an ending as big as the last book, there should be something to ease the worries and giving explanations about the characters understanding. The bond snapped into place in the last few paragraphs of the last book, and there was nothing there to celebrate with them, absolutely zip and the beginning of this book was empty of those explanations too. I was really looking forward to the positives that balanced out all the kidnapping, cult family members, perverted men in power, exercising their power to control everything including making test tube babies. This book barely touched on her history. A few memories popped up when she spoke to Alyssa her sister that joined the academy when she came back for the next semester. I felt disconnected from how she spoke of not wanting to support her sister being new to the academy. Not wanting to gossip about boys and what not. She spilled her fated mate secrets to the professor, someone she didn’t even get a promise from not to tell anyone about their reverse harem status but not tell Alyssa. Her sister who grew up in the cult and was tested on too. It also felt weird that she was getting bullied and when she would stand up to the bullies, only they would get caught and hauled into the Deans office where he gave them one last warning to be good or get kicked out. They wouldn’t tell him that they were teasing her for being a slut and describing the ways she takes it from the guys or if the guys even knew she was screwing the others behind their backs. She knew the Dean was aware of her history, and her psychologist was contacted in regards to her anxiety attacks. Why not let the Dean in on the secret, so he could protect them as well. I feel like they need more support. Her decisions bug the crap out of me as they just don’t make sense to me. The chapters of them going through their days together was great, and they bonded more thoroughly this way, there was only a couple chapters where a sex scene was described. They were quick, only a few pages, and later in the book, it would them fondling and kissing then the scene would black out and the next day she’s feeling sore from all the horizontal tango overnight. They weren’t nymphos or anything like that. I am confused over why this is called Beta Wolf Academy. I haven’t read the other series in this world, so I kinda expected, Alpha, Beta and Omega designations. Maybe some knots, but there wasn’t anything. I mean, she describes having slick but that’s as far as we know about her designation. I wish there was more to that aspect of the series. I think it would only enhance the series. Overall, I think this book is 3 stars.
So before book 1 of OWA, I have never read any of JJ King’s books... all I can say is that I’ve completely missed out!
Book two was great!! The story of Lexi finding her way and discovering who she is after her childhood with the help of three gorgeous men... I loved that we’ve been able to follow their relationship and that we were even able to see into their minds (quite literally) to see that they all felt so strongly for eachother! The fact that the boys were connected before lexi was genius... they never had any idea but the bond was in place between them without them even knowing it! Their story is turning out to be truly beautiful!
I’m so glad that Demitri’s parents are okay!!
I would like to reflect on the disgust that is Raphael and his minions though... why can’t they just give the girls a break!! Me kidnapping the girls again! Haven’t they been through enough?! I’m absolutely devastated about Alyssa as she seemed so sweet and was only just finding herself... damn Sean!!
I’m hoping that Lexi turns out to be the special someone that Raphael was searching for! Maybe that’s why she has three mates, because they allow her to discover her power through them helping her to accept and love herself as well as them!
I really hope in book 3 that they’ll find the girls and finally bring a stop to Raphael’s minions!! Nothing like the take down of a brainwashed army!!
Congrats JJ, it’s a great book! Can’t wait for the 3rd book.
Wolf Chosen is the second book in the Beta Wolf Academy series. Lexi is still having nightmares from the kidnapping from the first book and the horror of her upbringing. The bond between her and her mates, Lucian, Chase, and Dimitri, is growing, and they can find out more information regarding their unique mating with the help of one of their professors. Alyssa, one of Lexi's sisters, joins her at Beta Wolf Academy, which has Lexi struggling with conflicting emotions.
The storyline is entertaining and keeps you engaged. It has some shocking and tragic twists, drama, lots of erotic interaction between the mates, episodes of bullying with a new jerk and his friends, and action in the form of Lexi and her mates letting their wolves kick some bad guy butt. The book ends on a tragic note and the promise of more danger for Lexi and her sisters. I can hardly wait to read the third book in the series, Wolf Hunted!

This book was the second book in the Beta Wolf Academy series and it was honestly more dramatic than I ever thought it would be. I have to admit that this book did quite a few amazing and meta things. I won't spoil what those things are; you have to read those things yourself. I really loved how this book really addressed the problems the characters faced and how some of them carried over from the last book. No part was forgotten and we got to see the characters develop as well. I wonder what the next book will have in store for us. I did a a whole blog post for the book, so check it out if you want to read my full thoughts on the book.

4.5 stars - I'm ready for book three, right now! Wolf Chosen is packed with nonstop action of all kinds. I read it in one sitting because each time I turned the page, I needed to know what happened next! I love the dynamic between Lexi and her mates, and appreciate how it continues to evolve. Lexi continues to work through becoming herself as well as adjusting to her new reality, and I like that we get to see a bit of her struggle. There's always more to do, see, learn and overcome, which of course will be in the next book. So now I'm ready - where's book three?

This book focuses in on building the group and individual relationships within their quad. As Lexi further got know her guys so did the reader and more dimension to them giving us a better feel for everyone. There were a couple mentions of events sprinkled in from the concurrent series Alpha Wolf Academy that directly affected Dimitri and will hopefully lead to a bit of a crossover. I wish we got to know Alyssa a bit more since she joined the school rather than hovering in the edge. The end set up the plot nicely for the next book.
The first semester at Beta Wolf Academy had been bad enough. But the enemy that threatened Lexi’s life then was defeated and she got her three mates, Dimitri, Lucian and Chase. Now more trouble starts up after only the briefest moments of perfection. And this trouble affects her sisters and friends. Now is not a good time for Dimitri to be keeping secrets. Will Lexi be able to handle the latest danger? Or will all those who matter to her be lost?
I originally read this when it was part of the omega series and I love it both times. The main character Lexi is so well written and in this book we see her grow even more. Also with her three handsome mates Chase, Lucian and Dimitri things get hot and we get to see them grow closer. As the book progresses we go through many twists and turns to come crashing at a huge cliffhanger ending leaving you needing book three.
The circumstances of Lexi's upbringing start to be described in the beginning of the book. We aren't really given a solid timeline between the end of book 1 and the start of book 2 so I was left feeling a little confused about what happened there.
I dunno. I'm just not feeling this one. I don't feel connected to Lexi, I don't love any of her guys... It's just missing something for me and I'm not sure what.
Wolf Chosen, the second book of the Beta Wolf Academy series, is an ebook I downloaded from Kindle Unlimited. I enjoyed this second book as much as the first. There are a few segue issues, but nothing drastic. The characters are good, but this author bumps them up to the next level by giving them emotions and issues to make them relatable. I look forward to what comes next.
This series was going somewhat well. Not my favorite but I decided to grasp all the cliches and cheesiness until the author decided to slightly slip in her political views with a reference and threw me out of the book completely. I won’t be finishing the series and this author is officially off my reading list.
These are well written books with great characters that I can not only cleary see and hear but a story that plays out like a movie in my head.
I love Lexi and her men Dmitri, Chase and Lucian. Lexi has a lot of dark in her as do more than 1 of her men and all of her family. Why has fate chosen her and her men to be fated mates?
Change is hard. PTSD does weird things to survivors. Lexi was awful to Allysa. Truly terrible. She was self centered and absorbed in romantic entanglements to the point that dangers were able to repeat themselves. Lexi needs to make more changes fast, and start by putting her head on straight.
This was an interesting story. It’s always someone who wants to make Lexi miserable and this time they went too far. I really enjoyed Lexi, Lucian, Chase & Dimitri together. I can’t wait too see what happens next.

Wow the action and the heat gets a little more intense in this!
The first book was interesting and had an action and adventure and mystery going on inside it that got me hooked .. This one brought about some new changes and mystery with the paranormal romance going on
Just when you think a. Series can't get any better then bam it does and you need to keep reading to find out what happens how such young can have had a life full to such heart break
I really enjoyed this book and am enjoying this series! I loved the relationship developments and the overall storyline! I love the characters as well! I cannot wait to read more in the next book!
This book focuses on the building relationship with Lexi and her mates. We learn more about their pasts and of course Lexis past comes back out. On to the next
I am liking the new content in this book. Lexi and her three mates Dimitri, Lucian and Chase just finished a threat when a new one starts to rise. Not only is Lexi trying negative her new mates she keeps getting new threats. I love this series and can't wait for the next one.
This book starts with Lexi back at Beta Wolf Academy; it doesn’t start where the last one finished. It is a very slow-burn reverse harem. Lexi and her men are taking things slow and careful as they get to know each other better. It’s still steamy, but there is more intimacy one-on-one instead of in the group.
About halfway through, things really heat up relationship-wise, and we get the first in-depth look into Dimitri. These books are short snippets of a few weeks to maybe a few months, so they are a quick read. However, this one ramps up as, once again, we are confronted with her past experiences in her current life. However, this one isn’t about Lexi so much as her mate Dimitri and Alyssa, her sister of sorts.
The book ends with semi-graphic dark themes, but the ending does show Lexi becoming more of a heroine with her mates beside her.
