i finally finished this manga! wow, that end was.. really sad, actually. :(

this entire mange was ruined by the pedophilia but everything else was pretty cool. i really liked the revelation about the parasites in this volume, it's a big eye-opener compared to what we're led to believe in volumes 1 and 2.

so yeah, very bittersweet and defenitely leaning a lot more towards the 'bitter'.

3,25 ★ C’était un plutôt bon manga fini en 3 tomes avec des sujets très intéressants et sensibles, j’avoue que la différence d’âge des deux protagonistes m’a un peu dérangé mais hormis ça c’était assez prenant. La fin était super triste, puis tout le coté médical et psychologique m’a beaucoup plu. Rien de transcendant mais plutôt cool même si vraiment très triste, faites attention aux triggers warning !

Kind of feel like this was trying a bit too hard to be deep? In the afterword the author wrote out a basic summary of what the initial plot idea was, and to be honest that sounded like it would have turned out to be more interesting even if it was a bit like a standard rom-com. Anyway, I think the fact that I'm thinking that means this wasn't as great as I was hoping.

Dernier tome pour l’adaptation en format manga de Parasites Amoureux, qui se termine donc avec ce troisième tome. L’intrigue flirt avec la mort depuis le début, et on peut dire que ce dernier tome ne déroge pas à cela, bien au contraire, petit à petit en s’en rapproche, peut-être même, un peu trop… est-ce que l’histoire n’aura pas de Happy ending ?

On reprend le cours de l’intrigue avec Sanagi, qui se retrouve une fois de plus à l’hôpital, mais pour le moment, on en ignore encore la raison. Celle-ci est prévisible, et sera révélée plus tard, de quoi nous donner un petit moment de surprise dans cette intrigue qui commençait à devenir un peu platonique. Sanagi et Kôsaka suivent tout deux le traitement afin d’éliminer leurs parasites, et pour Kôsaka, ça semble aller beaucoup mieux depuis. Il n’a plus ses mimiques liées à l’hygiène et à retrouver un emploi, renouer des liens avec d’autres personnes.

Pour Sanagi, bien évidemment, ce n’est pas la même histoire, comme indiqué, elle est sur un lit d’hôpital. La raison est simple, ils se sont trompés sur les capacités des parasites, ainsi que sur leurs actions possibles… Et là où Kôsaka voit ses parasites muter et résister aux médicaments, ceux de Sanagi eux, sont détruits, et les conséquences n’en sont peut-être que plus fâcheuses… Un parasite a un fonctionnement assez simple, quel qu’il soit, il prend possession d’un hôte, et dans une certaine mesure, doit le garder en vie, quel intérêt aurait-il donc eu à le pousser au suicide ? Voilà où réside le problème, problème qui a pris des vies, et qui en prendra encore quelques-unes.

Questo manga di genere seinen, rivolto ad un pubblico maturo, mi catturava per la particolarità della trama e il fascino dei disegni.
Ispirato ad un romanzo, che è stato poi reinventato e trasposto sottoforma di manga.
Devo dire che mi è piaciuto molto, anche se, con degli alti e bassi.
Il primo volume è molto bello, a livello di storytelling. Ho amato l'accurata introspezione dei protagonisti nel rivelare le loro manie e fobie, coordinate perfettamente con le immagini.
È un manga eccezionale, disegnato molto bene, con una grande cura dei dettagli.
Tuttavia, il secondo volume si perde un po' in nozionismi scientifici di biologia, che mi hanno particolarmente annoiato e reso la lettura faticosa.
Poi, avrei preferito che ci si soffermasse più sulle fobie e manie dei protagonisti che, magari, insieme riuscissero a trovare la forza e la determinazione per risolverle, e invece, si vira su altro, perdendo di vista altri interessanti spunti, che potevano essere approfonditi, ma l' occasione è persa.
Si è voluta virare sul fatto che, l' amore dei due protagonisti, sia determinato da una forma particolare di parassita, anche questo è un punto interessante, ma viene portato un po' all' esasperazione.
Tuttavia, con il terzo volume la storia si riprende, soddisfacendo le mie aspettative.

Okay, this manga is really emotional because it revolves around two characters who both suffer from OCD caused by a parasite (i'm not sure if the parasite is meant to be a metaphor or not, it depends on how you look at it). Their story is pretty complicated since the parasite forces them to live differently from normal people. But in the end, that same parasite is actually what keeps them going until now.

The manga has a solid story and great character development. Kengo Kosaka has really good development, and so does Hijiri Sanagi. Both of them have heartbreaking backstories that the manga explains pretty clearly. The pacing does feel a bit fast, though i think there’s still a lot more that could’ve been explored about their relationship and inner struggles (maybe because the manga version just can’t go as deep as the novel).

Overall, I really recommend this manga. Its drama and romance elements hit hard, especially if you’re into romance stories that feel different from the usual.

A new hypothesis is explored by Izumi in this volume. The worm has a symbiotic relationship with the host. It feeds on anguish and the host achieves emotional balance which prevents it from its suicidal tendencies. When the worm is removed, the host's desire to die takes over again. The treatment didn't kill off Kengo's parasite. He still has intense feelings for Hijiri and is worried about her well-being. She tried to kill herself, but failed and is missing.

Kengo heads out to search for Hijiri. He soon remembers her scarf and returns home only to find her sleeping in his bed. Her kiss with Kengo created a new strain resistant to the treatment, but only he got the new strain. She is now free of the parasite and under the influence of her phobia. She only wanted to see him one last time and declare her love for him before ending it all.

Il terzo volume di "parasite in love" non mi è piaciuto molto, mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. Penso sarebbe stato più interessante vedere la morte di uno dei protagonisti (cosa a cui il manga va molto vicino), così da vedere la reazione dell'altro e il suo modo di affrontare l'avvenimento. Penso che questo avrebbe anche permesso di capire meglio il modo in cui il parassita funziona (soprattutto il modo in cui gli infetti si separano dopo l'inizio della terapia). Mi sono invece trovata davanti a un finale poco chiaro (cosa succederà a Sanagi?) e a una situazione che già dal primo volume mi ha infastidita: la relazione tra una 17enne e un uomo di quasi 30 anni.

Parasite in Love è sicuramente un manga dai toni dark e che tocca temi davvero delicati.
Ho apprezzato il rapporto dei due protagonisti ma la storia in sé, il plot, mi è sembrato a tratti confuso.

Come fa lei a dire alla fine che con quel bacio i parassiti dentro di lui si sono fortificati mentre dentro di lei no? Proverà di nuovo a suicidarsi nonostante tutto?

In linea generale le tavole sono impressionanti e piacevoli. La storia, per quanto molto fitta per quanto riguarda i "vermi" in sé, è scorrevole e comprensibile.

In conclusione, mi ha trasmesso una sensazione di dolcezza.

Okay, qui recensisco per bene tutta la storia: molto interessante e originale, un po' contorta e piena di informazioni riguardanti questi "parassiti", ma è utile che il lettore le conosca, per poter capire il tutto. Il finale mi ha un po' lasciato l'amaro in bocca, ma di per sé è una bella storia, anche se molto triste. (E poi i disegni sono bellissimi!!)

Tính ra plot khá ổn và lạ, truyện logic, art cũng oke mà có nhiều đoạn học thuật triết học các kiểu quá.

Tưởng ký sinh trùng là nghĩa bóng thôi nhưng ai ngờ nó đúng nghĩa đen luôn. Đang ngồi ăn bánh đọc đoạn nữ chính nó nói về các loài trùng mà kiểu @@

Não sei se curti muito o final, não o final final em si, mas TODO ESSE ATO FINAL, sla, não me desceu muito, ainda assim achei uma leitura diferente e interessante e curti muito o conceito, apesar de eu achar que ele não tem uma execução muito boa.

This mini series started off great.
Then I don't know what happened, but it got lost from volume two till half volume three, to get back on track all of a sudden with a great finale.

The topic is indeed different and it's definitely a series you have to follow accurately.
I found volume two the weakest, probably because it's packed with infos and there's so much text to read about this all situation and about all the parasite topic that I found it hard to keep the attention throughout the whole conversation.
I found it at times pretty repetitive and as I previously said, that convo is packed with essential infos to understand what it's really happening and every single detail matters.

Luckily, this story is wrapped up in a very good way, and we are probably offered the best option available.

This series it's for sure a different one, with an unusual but peculiar topic beautifully illustrated.
