The story of a tapir boy from outer space who immigrates to earth and, besides getting used to all that is new to him in our planet, also has to deal with a mixture of intolerance and kindness from human beings, the feeling of otherness, and the homesickness known by all immigrants.

Peguei esse livro na Amazon porque estava de graça e vi muita gente falando bem nos comentários. O livro é bem curtinho e conta a história de um menino anta que está imigrando para a Terra, especificamente para Tóquio. Os desenhos são muito fofos e o Baku-Chan é uma gracinha. Não é uma história linear, o livro aborda várias minis situações envolvendo a vida de um imigrante. A história aborda de forma crítica os preconceitos e as dificuldades que os imigrantes precisam enfrentar quando estão em um novo lugar. Eu gostei, mas ficou faltando mais para mim... Pelo fato do livro ser muito curtinho, as coisas acontecem de forma muito rápida e algumas situações que gostaria que fossem mais exploradas acabam ficando "superficial". Mas vale a pena ler! É curtinho, os desenhos são lindos e fofos, emociona, e o inglês é bem básico.

Molt entretingut i tendre. Explica l'arribada (i estada) dificultosa d'un petit extraterrestre a la Terra com a estranger i que, fent un símil interessant amb l'actualitat, ha de passar per tot tipus de tràmits burocràtics enrevessats per regularitzar la seva situació.

Té moments molt dolços que et fan entrar en la història i connectar amb el seu personatge principal, però també somriure amb l'ajuda del segon personatge principal del còmic.

Recomanable per estones de pluja i recolliment.

Ha sido tierno a la vez que gratificante. Me ha encantado de principio a fin... Conocer las diferentes perspectivas de algunos personajes me ha ayudado a entenderlo un poco más sobre el tema de ser inmigrante en Japón. No esperaba que fuese tan divulgativo en algunos momentos... Me ha sorprendido también cómo no ha dejado de lado lo importante que es ser consciente de todo esto. Siempre siendo realista, pero haciendo que no sea tan abrumador. Muy lindo. Recomendado

This is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever read. Maybe it’s a little bit over the top this review, but as an inmigrant, this story went directly to my heart. This book kind of hugged me and empathized with me and all I’ve been through. I read it in spanish “el pequeño baku”. It’s nostalgic and cute. Loved it, definitely recommend it.

Author freebie. Suitable for teens and adults. Good color artwork, similar to studio ghibli. The tale of a young alien tapir , who immigrates to earth. A strange, slow moving tale.

Es bonito y a la vez un poco triste y en algunos momentos, algo confuso.

História bem fofinha de um menino anta que imigra para a terra devido a falta de recursos em seu planeta Natal. Os traços são bem fofos. Baku, o personagem principal, também é lindinho. E ver o dia a dia do Baku e sua tentativa de adaptação a terra é interessante. Há algumas críticas também a sociedade no geral, e não é impossível conectar o Baku com qualquer outro imigrante que vemos por aí.
Peguei de graça na Amazon e fiquei surpresa porque muita gente não fala desse mangá, pois é realmente bom e traz umas críticas bem pertinentes.
As críticas são bem claras e apresentadas sem filtros, mas ainda são críticas, é possível encarar a nossa sociedade e como alguns países tratam os imigrantes.
