I met him in the kind of place where bad things happen. The kind of place where women fall to their knees, call men sir, and get lashed with a belt.
Gage Stratford. Dark, damaged, cold-blooded and gorgeous, with secrets so deep you could drown. He touched me that night, made me feel things that excited and terrified me in equal measure.
When I turned up at my internship the next day, I was shocked to find he was my new boss. My billionaire boss was the one who had made me feel like I couldn’t help but fall to my knees and do whatever he commanded.
He says he can’t stay away from me. That he needs to make me his submissive, to take me over his desk, to punish me and make me his.
But our horrific pasts have made us who we are, and to get close to him means to crack each other open and expose the very things we’ve worked so hard to bury. And when our secrets come out, not only our love but also our lives will be on the line -- leaving us bound together forever, or destroyed and shattered beyond repair.
The story was pretty good and so were the sex scenes. However, whoever did the proofreading shouldn't have been paid. It wasn't too bad in the 1st couple books, but got worse and worse. I doubt anyone proofread the last 2 books. You may think it's silly and odd to point out things like that, but it makes it hard to read. It's particularly terrible when something is said earlier and then contradicted later. Know this, if you care anything about accuracy you might not enjoy the book.
I like this author but I am saddened to say the last few books in the series could have been one book. I get it. Everyone needs to make a living but 5 ridiculously short chapters felt like a but of a rip off. There could have been a bit more substance and story telling from a talented author for loyal fans.
Loved this final book. Chloe and Gage get the happy ending they both deserve. They go through a lot in their relationship and this ending is like a cherry on top of the chocolate sundae that is their happily ever after.
I think this book of the series was a very nice end to the amazing story. I think reading all the books are a must and you will truly enjoy the outcome. II love Hannah and how she writes each story. A must read.
