Can devastating heartbreak lead to redemption and renewal? Kyndal Poe thinks she has her life all planned out. So she's completely caught off guard when her boyfriend of three years doesn't propose. Instead, he makes a confession that leaves her heartbroken. To ease the pain, she turns to her best friend, Gerard. She has always found solace in their relationship, but now she needs him more than ever. Jaxon, a handsome, southern church boy with blonde curly hair and a beautiful singing voice, is also vying for her attention. Jaxon is nice, but he is a stark contrast from the tall, sexy, dark chocolate men Kyndal is used to dating. Just when she starts to figure everything out, a horrific tragedy completely rocks her world. Kyndal confronts issues involving faith, interracial dating, and heartache to discover who she is and what she truly wants out of life.

Grateful Surrender

I loved this book. The storyline was so good and young/adults should read this to know that when we get out of God’s will for us, he may turn our world upside down. Everything God does is because he loves us and wants the best for his children. Kyndall went through some heartaches but once she let God order her steps, the end result was for her good. The tearjerker moment was a shocker and it hurt my heart. This book has funny, sad and very serious events.
