Rate this book
I’ve never had a Daddy. Can he teach me how to be the perfect boy?

I have three problems.

No job
No direction
No clue what I’m doing next.

Following my best friend to LA is the only thing that makes sense. I’ll start a new life, figure out a career, and learn how to be an adult. Meeting Matteo is intimidating but exciting. I know he wants a boy. I also know I’m far from what he’s looking for. How can I go to him when I don't even know how to balance a bank account? I’m determined to stand on my own two feet before letting a Daddy take over my life.

As usual, life has other plans for me, and I find myself needing the one thing I tried to avoid. I can’t imagine what the gorgeous, older man could want with me, but I’m done fighting. I have a lot to learn about life and love, but exploring Daddy is turning out to be one of my better decisions. If he thinks I can be the perfect boy for him, maybe I can.

Exploring Daddy is a delicious Daddy/boy romance with a pining Daddy ready for a special boy, a stubborn young man fighting his own wishes, exploring new ground, and learning that sometimes asking for help is the bravest thing you can do. It is book 2 in the Love in LA series featuring doting Daddies and sweet boys finding love in Los Angeles.

Let me start by saying that I didn't enjoy the first book in this series. You can go to that book and read my thoughts on why I thought that book was subpar.

I'm happy to say that this story is better. I'm not sure if Mia read some of the reviews and wrote accordingly, or if she just had an easier time with these characters.

What I loved about the book:

Matteo as a Daddy. Where Legend was wishy washy about a relationship with Bentley, Matteo was not about a relationship with Finn. He's exceedingly patient with Finn and never rushes him. He works to build Finn's confidence in himself while building a friendship with the man. He's there as a support and Finn grows to count on him to help. I love that he takes his time building trust. I really loved that about this book. So many times authors write stories where the submissive MC immediately trusts the dominant and that's just not real life. I felt that part was handled very well.

The Vegas club scene. That scene was hot and it gave Finn a chance to explore a new kink in a safe manner.

Matteo's nick name for Finn was so sweet and not your usual boy.

What I disliked about the book:

Finn. Not as a whole, but he even more insecure than Bentley. I would say Finn has the praise kink based on his reactions to when Matteo calls him a good boy. I'm not sure how I missed it, but to learn that he's in his mid to late 20's is mind boggling. It wasn't clear as to when this book starts, but even if it had been a year, Finn must have been a 5th year senior in college. Just something that bugged me.

Finn's Jobs. So, I don't know if Mia has never worked retail or in the food industry, but the way she's written Finn's first day at the various jobs are completely unrealistic. It's going to be very rare that any job doesn't give you at least a few days of training. I know in the food industry they bring you in on their slowest day and make you work the slow shifts until you're to the point that you can handle a lunch or dinner rush. It felt like manufactured drama. I know the point is to show that Finn was trying to make something of himself so Matteo would be proud and want to be with him. I just wished it was written in a more realistic manner. As someone who worked in the food and retail industry for years, it made my eye twitch a few times.

The last thing that really got on my nerves was Finn's inability to understand the Daddy/boy relationship. He's an intelligent person and seems to have asked Bentley and Legend questions all the time. I don't understand how he couldn't grasp the concept. Yes, he's new to the lifestyle, but again, he's in his mid to late twenties. Surely, he could have been directed to various blogs, given books to read, etc. I was about ready to throw my hands up when he finally called Matteo.

All in all, a much better book than the first. It's not my favorite Daddy book, but Matteo is a great Daddy and his character is well written.

I'm giving this .5 stars for the deliciously filthy semi-public (private club) scenes alone, plus .25 for the last fantasy in the epilogue. The rest of the story is very nice and kinda fluffy, but those scenes really put it over for me. I loved how patient and restrained Matteo was, even reminding himself in his own thoughts to not push Finn, allowing Finn the time to come to his own decisions, fully supported but not influenced at all.

DNF, gave up at about 43%.
I couldn't get into this at all - Finn's helplessness is so exaggerated, it constantly annoyed me.

I liked this book a lot better than the first one. Finn and Mateo were a very cute and great couple. I was just so bothered by Finn's issues with keeping a job. It just seems weird to me how that was written and how then suddenly he can help Mateo with his business. That made no sense to me at all and it bugged me a good couple of chapters. These characters are not bad characters but how they are written can be very odd at times, they have good traits and are good people but idk they were just odd in their thought processes at times. The scenes/chapters with Bently and Legend were great, I was eating that up. The kinks in this book were just "chefs kiss".

A Daddy for Finn

Holy heat. Mia Monroe has used her magic to spin gold again. This book is so hot and filled with age gap goodness.

Daddy Matteo is looking for his perfect boy and when he meets Finn in "Legendary Daddy", all sorts of sparks fly. Finn is lost after losing his father. He's also just the sweetest. Matteo is strong, patient, and caring presence that I wish everyone could have in their lives. He's also the perfect Daddy for Finn. Even if Finn has never had a Daddy before.

If you're into doting Daddies, shenanigans, and a journey to self discovery, this book is definitely a must read. Looking forward to Ramos' story.

Exploring Daddy // Love in LA 2 // Mia Monroe

📸👠📸👠📸
Mia Monroe writes a story of self discovery, overcoming grief, and learning to love again in a compassionate and seductive style in Exploring Daddy, Love in LA, 2. Finn is our sweet, lost, pretty boy trying to find himself and navigate his life after grief. He is flightless and struggling out in the world on his own. Daddy Matteo recognizes what he and Finn could have and patiently pursues and supports him. Matteo is older and established, owning a boudoir photography business and with experience as a daddy. He is dealing with his own grief of a failed relationship. Both men are eager for a fresh start in LA. Finn is intrigued by Daddy Matteo but isn’t ready to be his boy yet. Matteo is willing to wait and offers what he needs until neither one can resist the pull of real love. Check tropes and 🔥 tags to see more of what to expect.

This was a wondeful read if Finn (who thinks he is broken but isnt) he just needs a Daddy and Matteo is the perfect Daddy.

I love the strength in Matteo to let Finn take his time and the steps needed to realise he isn't broken. Finn I just wanted to hug. So glad he followed his friend to LA and found his happiness.

I loved this read and am really enjoying this series so far.

This book was both sweet and sexy as heck. After meeting both Finn and Matteo (Matty) in book one, Legendary Daddy, I was very excited to read their story. We learned in book 1 that Finn was having a difficult time in his life and it was absolutely lovely to see Finn come into himself and finally accept that he needed Matteo to care for him. This was a super sweet daddy book. Matteo was the perfect daddy, showing extreme patience and caring for Finn with no strings attached. It was also hot as heck. If watching or being watched is your thing this will do the trick!  In addition to Finn and Matty we also got a ton of time with Legend and Bentley, as well as Ramos. I loved the foreshadowing for Ramos' book. I absolutely cannot wait for more of these amazing and sweet men.

I am in love with Matteo and Finn. They are so adorable and perfect and swoony together! The way they went to friends to lovers was sweet and with the perfect timing; and once things started, it was fire all over! A great book in the Love in LA series. And now we wait for the last book and from the hints Mia gave us, it's going to be another hot one!

“If I were your boy, would you still let me do stuff like this?”

“I would happily watch you do things like this.” He steps closer, wrapping his arms around my waist and lifting me gently from the stage. “You just unlocked my little kink.”

My throat tightens in a really nice way. “What’s that?”

“Voyeurism. I get off on watching.” He cups my chin. “And, kitten, I could watch you for days.”

I knew while reading Legendary Daddy that Matteo and Fin were going to be adorable together. He was absolutely meant for the cuddly, guiding hand of a Daddy that is Matteo. I knew that this series was going to be fire, I just knew it.

Exploring Daddy is the second book in Mia Monroe's latest series Love in LA and it takes off fairly quickly with Matteo and Finn's love story. You can read this as a standalone, but I don't recommend it. A lot happens to poor Finny and contributes to what keeps these two from acting on their attraction to one another in Legendary Daddy (because Finny is Bentley's BFF kind of like Matteo is Legend's BFF) and it really helps to have read that so you know the relationships between the friends but also what both men are coming into this relationship with as baggage. That's not to say that this isn't covered, but I feel like it's best read in context with the other stories.

Finn spends most of the lead up to them becoming a couple so scared that he wouldn't be enough for Matteo. That he would somehow fail at being a boy, and that fear guides him so much that he holds off on asking for the help he needs for too long out of a stubborn want to prove that he's not helpless, that he can be what he considers a functioning adult. I think there were moments where I thought maybe that stubbornness might make Finny more of a bratty boy - but honestly, it helps solidify just how well the two of them work in their Daddy/boy relationship and makes it stronger. I think Finn's vulnerability and stubborn nature is what endeared me to him. You just want to wrap him up in blankets and promise him that everything will be ok if he just learns to accept help when it's offered - especially when it's offered by one sexy, handsome, caring Daddy like Matteo.

Normally, I would leave you with a selection of my favourite lines.... And I do still have favourite lines, but there are less of them because this book was the story for FAVOURITE CONVERSATIONS which I can't share them because that would give too much away and I want you to read the book so...

Here are a few of my...

Favourite Lines -

He looks like a sexy, gay butterfly rock star. If that was a thing.

I mean, we can make it a thing Matty! *shrug*

“Are you not attracted to me?”

He guffaws. “Oh, please. Not attracted to you? Is the sky blue?”

I chuckle. “It is.”

“There’s your answer.”

Holy Fuckenstein.

True story - the F word as a prefix is my favourite thing ever. Most useful word in the English language, indeed!

Bentley turns around and grins so wide I’m surprised his lips can stretch that far, but then again, I’ve seen Legend’s dick.

“But you guys treated me like I was one of you. None of you cared about my past. You trusted me to stay in your place. So did Legend. Gave me a job. I thought, if these men think I’m worth it, maybe I am.”

“It’s one of those things that inspires me. It fills me with hope that someday someone is going to walk into my world and I’m just gonna know that’s my person, you know?”

“I’m sorry.” His voice cracks. “I didn’t mean to make it so hard.”

“You have nothing to be sorry for, kitten. You’ve been through so much. You were just trying to figure things out.”

"You fill me up like nothing I’ve ever known."

I swear to you, you will love (and I think this is ADORABLE) Matty & Finny. I swear that you will love them EVEN MORE if you read Legendary Daddy first so if you haven't read it go and get it.

And if you have read it, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR????? Run and grab Exploring Daddy and love on Matteo and Finny TODAY! And once you're hooked, you can wait impatiently like me for Ramos' story Becoming Daddy (coming in August we hope) because that scene in this book??? His story is already crackling with chemistry and we've barely scratched the surface of what's going to be an HEA that's FIRE!

But I digress, one click this baby today!!! I promise you, you won't regret it!

Ok, I'm gonna start by saying that yes, these books can be read as a standalone ( since I started the series with book 3 ), but I don't advise to do it this way. All the characters start showing up in book one, Legendary Daddy, and we get to see all these little things about them in there. For example, if you do not read book one, you will not meet Ramos the right way, and you will miss the first time Matteo saw Finn and his reaction. You don't want to miss that. You will also get to see what Matteo and Finn were going through before they met each other, and when you get to this book, the story will feel even more powerful. In this book, we also get to see the first interaction between Ramos and Z and Alex and how he asked Matteo for advice and how he was feeling overall.

With that being said, I recommend you start with book one and read the series in order.

As I mentioned, in a way, the story between Finny and Matty started in book one, and it was a SLOW BURN. Omg, it was so slow at times I wanted to scream... however, even if I'm not usually a fan of slow burns, in this book, it made so much sense. It was beautifully written. We got to see the characters' struggle, Finn, with finding himself, and Matty with being patient and always there for Finny whenever he needed. Giving him time and space to come to him on his own terms.

It was also beautiful to see them become friends, building a solid foundation for their future relationship.

The friendship between Matteo and Legend is goals. I'm not joking. We got to see it a bit in the 2nd part of book one, but we got to explore this more in this book, and I am so glad we got to be part of that conversation. I LOVE when they seek each other out when they need help, comfort, and reassurance. This is how friendships should look like. The same goes for Finn and Bentley. These two are thick as thieves, and we have a perfect example at some point in the book. Wink. Wink. That scene with the four of them was FIREEEEEE.

Another thing that I love is that we get to see how the Daddies are vulnerable, too, and they talk to each other in order to make sure they give their boys the best, always the best. We also get to witness Finn getting to learn about the Daddy kink and how Bentley is always there to hold his hand and give him advice. H3ll, even Legend helps him. It is super sweet, really.

You can feel the love between these four, and the way they also care for Ramos is absolutely amazing. From the first moment Ramos showed up in book one, Legend made sure he was taken care of in one way or another, and the way they showed up for him when he needed them the most truly solidified that this group of people are not just friends, they're family. They love each other deeply, and I'm sure that if something happens, each and every one of them would jump to make sure the others are safe and taken care of.

These stories are about heartbreak, helplessness, hope, and love. They're about trust and how to build forevers in both a romantic way and in a forever family kind of way.

If I thought Legend and Bentley's story was sweet, Dang, Matteo, and Finn came and settled the score on this one. They're super sweet, like mega extra sweet. All of them are just in different ways, and it just shows how perfect they are for each other.

I'm gonna go re-read book 3 now, I need to read again about my baby Ramos finding his happy ending.

The Daddy made just for Finny!
Holy hell and a hand basket Exploring Daddy was terrific. If I wasn't desperate for Ramos, I would say pack it up, that's a wrap, no more, you've done all there is to do here.

First, I always enjoy your books. Marry Me easily made it's way to the top of my faves, then Legendary Daddy swooped in and sat down beside it, and now Exploring Daddy legit THREW OUT whatever had been next in line so it could hang out with its sister books, easily holding 3 of the spots on my top 10 books I've EVER read!!

Good God Matteo is the Daddy of my dreams. I swear you plucked him out of my brain and wrote him on the page. *swoons* And Finny...I was not expecting so much dirty from that boy, but dang!!!

Exploring Daddy made me feel every emotion to my core. Finn and Matteo were absolutely MADE for eachother, perfectly sculpted from the same block of marble and then pieced back together seamlessly. The longing Matteo showed toward Finn pulled at my heartstrings but left a hole with just enough room for Finn's trust in him to come in and fill that gap. It just goes to show that a sweet boy is worth waiting for!

What really sticks with me, every time I read one of your books, is how far I fall into these worlds you create. The characters are immaculate. The storylines they tell you leave you satisfied but ever impatient for more. WELL F*UCKING DONE GIRL!!!! I can't wait to see this series blow up as much as the others. Congratulations!!!!!

This book absolutely left a smile on my face. Daddy Matteo and Finn were just perfect together.

Finn moves to L.A. after his father passes away at the urging of his best friend Bentley. (We get Bentley and Legend’s story in Legendary Daddy) Finn is adrift and has no idea what to do with his life or how to manage as an adult. Matteo is Legend’s best friend and is longing for a boy to call his own. A boy to guide and nurture, to take care of and love. Finn is just so hesitant and unsure of what he actually wants. These two dance around each other for awhile and as the tension builds, we get closer and closer to a snapping point.

Finn finally decides to take the chance with Matteo and lets him be the Daddy he has needed to be. Once the walls start coming down, magic happens. These two were so sweet and sexy together. Their intimacy and chemistry was delicious. We get some smokin’ hot action all around. In between the steam, a long lasting and loving relationship is built. The trust grows and Finn and Matteo become this strong and solid unit.

I adored this book. It had so many elements that all came together to make a sweet story. I can’t wait to read about Ramos and his men next.

*I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

A must read!
Wow. I just finished Exploring Daddy and it's captured the spot of my new favorite Mia Monroe book. It's a super sweet, age gap Daddy (no age play) romance.
We first met Matteo and Finn in Legendary Daddy and now we get to see their happily ever after. You don't have to have read Legendary Daddy first, but I highly suggest it so you have the background you need to fully understand this book.
Finn is trying to find his place in the world after the death of his father. He's struggling to figure out what he wants to do and how to go about achieving it. Feeling lost, he knows Matteo is interested in him, but he has to find out who he is before he can explore what Matteo can offer - right?
Matteo, who is freshly off the end of a frustrating relationship, is entranced by the young Finn. He thought he knew who he was and what he needs in a relationship, but maybe he's just too much - especially for Finn.
With kindness and patience (as well as a little help from their friends), Finn and Matteo learn that maybe they are the perfect fit for each other. And that even though Finn has never given thought to having a Daddy, maybe Matteo is the perfect one to explore that kink with.

Wowww woooww!!!!! Finn and Matty will stole your heart. This story is a perfect example of a relationship build in trust, understanding and patience. Finn had no direction and felt lost since his father’s death and Matteo is longing for a boy to love. When this two meet you can feel the sparks coming through the pages. What I liked about this dynamic is that they are extremely attracted to each other but hold back to build a solid foundation for their relationship. This two characters balance each other and it’s a delight to see that relationship grow stronger and stronger through each chapter. I love the patience in Matteo and I love the innocence in Finn. But don’t think because is slow going there aren’t any heat, the sexual tension can be cut with a butter knife and it keeps you at the edge of is this finally it. And trust me, when it finally is, IT. IS. IT. Mia did not held back in the HOTNESS AND THE HEAT 🔥🔥🔥. The scene will have you fanning yourself while wishing for a cold shower. Mia’s style of Daddy Kink in my opinion is just a sweet and loving approach that really embodies the taking care of your partner and transcendent the sexual part of it! I love this book, absolutely love the series and can’t wait for Ramos’ book.

An aimless and floundering young man needing direction and structure in his life, and a Daddy ready and able - and willing to wait - to give his precious boy all he needs and more. Finn and Matteo's love story is a slow-burn of sorts - not for lack of mutual desire, but of not wanting to rush headfirst into a relationship when Finn isn't quite ready.

Finn and Matteo are such thoughtful and likeable characters who make an adorable and adoring couple. They build trust and understanding through friendship before gently exploring a Daddy/boy dynamic that is all new to the wholly inexperienced Finn, and their sweet and steamy HEA journey is a lovely slow-build. It does get a bit too OTT sugary toward the end but the story never lags, and is delightfully full of love, lace, care and cuddles (and bonus points for the celebration of realistic, non-chiseled bodies in this story!).

Not having read the first book in the series, it felt like playing catch-up with character dynamics and past events early on, but that became of lesser importance once the story took off. For that reason, though, I wouldn't exactly call this a standalone. I received an advance reading e-copy of this book and have left this honest review voluntarily. (Also read in KU.)

A lost boy finds his Daddy

Oh my heart! This book totally got me with all the feels! Finn is so lost, floundering after the death of his father. He has no direction or dreams for the future and feels completely inadequate to everyone around him. Matteo is recovering from the ending of a long term relationship that just didn't work. He's a Daddy that needs a boy to nurture and guide and the attraction between him and Finn is instantaneous. I love how hard Finn tries to be what he thinks he should be and how much Matty wants to step in but doesn't. Their relationship grows from friends into more in a very organic way. Nothing was forced or rushed and it feels really genuine. I loved how intricately Bentley and Legend fit in this story but didn't overshadow Finn and Matty. If you haven't read "Legendary Daddy" I highly recommend that you do because so much of what happens in that book extends into this one. I'm so glad we got to see Ramos again and I can't wait for his story, which is next. The sex scenes are 🔥🔥🔥 and add to that all the emotions and this is a slam dunk "you need to read this"! Wonderful series!

A floundering boy struggling to find his way, who doesn’t know all he needs is a Daddy. A man looking for the boy who will stitch the broken pieces of his heart back together. This is the story of Finn and Matteo. Although this is their story, the MC’s from book one feature heavily as they are Finn and Matty’s best friends. This is a low angst, layered build-up to a high heat HEA. Matteo is the perfect Daddy for Finn b/c he lets him question and figure things out on his own time, instead of just stepping in from the beginning. Finn has to flounder a bit once he comes to LA, although he always knows that Bentley, Legend and Matty will be there to catch him. When he finally calls Matty “Daddy” for the first time it is with the realization that what they have built is based on friendship first. And once they take the final step in consummating their relationship watch out. The scene that Mia wrote towards the end is melt your kindle HOT 🔥🔥🔥! Looking forward to see what she thinks up for Ramos’ book.

I was lucky to get an ARC of Exploring Daddy.

Exploring Daddy is the second book in the Love in LA Series from Mia Monroe. I have to admit, it was the first book I read from Mia but it will definitely not be the last one. The story is about a, well, nearly broken guy named Finn who does not knows what he wants and an experienced Daddy named Matteo who knows what he wants. Although they are the complete opposite they fall drawn to each other from the first moment on, but both caused by several different reason don’t force the other one to a relation ship.

Mia describes the process of finding together so emotional and later the being together so hot, incredible. I had tears in my eyes when Finn realized what he wants and needs, such a lot of feelings and emotions. Also the surrounding with kink photographers and porn stars makes for me the standing of this book. It all plays well together, jobs with a lot of emotions and hot scenes, privately also, it fits great together.

If you‘ve read the first book of the series you‘ll meet again Bentley and Legend. For me it‘s now a must to read book one, but Exploring Daddy can be for sure read alone and I have to mention that it was easy for me as a not native English speaker to read the book.

You‘ll also meet Ramos, who will be one of the main characters in the next book.

I really recommend this book, you have to read it, if you love romance and hit kinky scenes.

Really enjoyed it.

Matty is legends best friend just moved to LA. Fin is Bentley’s best friend moved to LA after loosing his dad. From the start they are drawn together but Fin is not only healing from the loss of his dad but also never ventured off on his own. Fin is very hesitant to get in a relationship with Mateo/Matty for a few reasons: he’s a virgin and has limited experience with men, he feels he should be standing on his own (and not living with legend and Bentley) in a way to prove he’s good enough for Marty, and hesitant about a daddy/ boy relationship-afraid of loosing himself and freedoms. Matty and fin decide to become friends, and Matty tells fFin to let him know when he’s ready to date. After sometimes and a few failed job attempts Fin finally calls Matty for help. Their relationship is sweet and very hot.
I am so excited for Ramos book! Ramos is always looking out for everyone else, I can see him being a daddy but kinda hoping he’s a boy.

Finn is floundering in life. He has experienced loss and thinks a move to a different city is what his life needs but he is still at loss.
Matteo finds himself at a stagnant point in his life after the end of a relationship and is looking for his ideal boy.

When they meet, the spark is instantaneous but Finn is hesitant, so it’s up to Daddy Matty to guide, nurture and care for him as he finally finds his purpose in life.

This being the second book in the series, it is best read after book one. I dare say, I enjoyed this story more than book one. Finn with all of his insecurities and emotions was so desperately in need of a Daddy and Matteo was perfect for him with his patience and gentle care.

The characters from book one do play a role in this story and I like how they enriched the overall feel of the story,
This was a sweet read with steamy scenes woven in. This is quickly becoming a favourite series of this authors for me.

I liked Exploring Daddy, Matteo and Finn are so good for each other, perfect! Finn is kind of lost after his dad passing he moves with Bentley, he feels alone and needs someone to give him structure and tell him what to do. Enter Matteo -Matty- who is a looking for a boy and is attracted to Finn the first time he meets him, he thinks he’s the perfect Daddy from him, he could help Finn, show him that he can take care of him and guide him to be the perfect boy. Matty is so patient with Finn and he is willing to give Finn the time he needs to figure out what he wants. The book is great and sweet! Both are adorable together and they like their kink!
This book have great characters and I looking forward to read the next one!! I Highly recommend this book!

★★★★½ STARS!
Uh.....Where can I get me a Daddy Matteo?

Holy sweetness and hotness overload! Matteo and Finn are definitely one of my favorite couples from this author. I love the vulnerability and emotion from both MC's but mainly from Finn. He’s been through so much and Matteo was the perfect gentleman and friend he needed.

I was not surprised at all that Matteo would be patient, supportive and gentle with Finn. It was so damn sweet to see how their relationship evolved. And Matteo in Daddy mode.....yum! I could not get enough of these two. Not only was this such a delightful read, it was steamy as hell. The heat factor is through the roof.

Mia Monroe delivers a fantastic and well deserved HEA. I ended this book with a satisfying smile on my face and eagerly wanting the next book. I cannot wait to see what's in store for Ramos.

an I just start off with OH MY GOD (fans myself)!!! Matty and Finn’s story is fire!! Matty is a daddy looking for the right boy for him, and after meeting Finn he is sure he has found him. Finn is a young man that is lost, he needs the right daddy but is afraid of what having a daddy would mean.
I love the patience that Matty has while waiting for Finn to fully accept everything that is between them. He doesn’t rush Finn or make him feel bad. He shows him what could be if he chooses to embrace that life. I loved watching the transformation that Finn goes through. Going from a shy, confused young man who can not figure anything out; to being a more confident young man that can explore his kinks.
This story is written smoothly and with so much steaminess! Absolutely amazing!

So so good! Finn was having me worried in the beginning. Heck, even I wanted to swoop in a help him. What a relief it was when he finally stopped being stubborn and gave himself over to Matteo. And bless your heart Matteo! He gave a master class in patience and learning from past mistakes. The best part of the book was when they got together: them falling in love, Finn flourishing, their relationship in general. And I love-love-loved towards the end when we really got to see how far Finn had come and his trust in Matteo. The situation could have easily been misunderstood but he didn’t act rash or jump to conclusions. Yes! Now I’ll be counting down the days until Ramos’s book comes out! So excited.

A super sweet relationship between a lost and broken boy, and a Daddy pining for his own special boy. Finn and Matteo are perfect together! I loved the slow build up of them committing to a relationship; the patience and kindness Matteo shows Finn is wonderfully sweet. Finn is hesitant and so unsure of what he needs in life, and it’s endearing to see Matty help him explore what they could have together. When Finn finally decides to give it a try, he starts to let his walls down, and the intimacy between them is both sizzling hot and heart-achingly tender. I really enjoyed the characters in this story, and I think their relationship is one of the strongest and most trusting. It’s a beautiful read!

Oof.... I can't put into words my love for dearest Finn.
He is absolutely the sweetest. Still reeling from the death of his dad, he moves to his LA to be with his bestie and try to start a new life. Finn truly is a little gem, he has some insecurities and it's beautiful how Mia writes his story as he becomes more comfortable with himself, thanks to the help of his bestie Bentley and the man who wants nothing more then to be Finn's friend and daddy.
Matteo omg I can't put words into this character. He so perfect for Finn, patient and understanding. Mia couldn't have wrote another more character more perfect for Finn then Matteo.
Their relationship starts off slow but man when they get going it's steamy as hell.
