Together Again was quick and to the point. Chanel and Ace reconnect by happenstance one night in his club and the sparks immediately start flying. They are still attracted to one another as much as they were in high school. Chanel and Ace lost contact with each other when he was sent away to military school. Six years later, he's back on his grown man ish exuding all kinds of BDE and making Chanel's girly parts tingle. Ace wants nothing more than to make Chanel his woman and he's willing to do anything to make that happen. But, Chanel's situation with her ex Maurice is complicated and she's a little gun shy to jump into a serious relationship. Ace slowly but, surely, works his way into Chanel's heart and shows her how a real man treats his woman. He didn't need to wear her down. Ace let his actions show how serious he was and that's all Chanel needed to see. Together Again was a cute young love story. There's nothing sweeter than having a do over with an old crush.

Ooooooo I was feeling this story for real. Chanel is a single mother out celebrating her admission back to college and ran up on her crush Ace from high school. Let’s just say the time has been good to him and he is alll kinds of sexy. Ace was a troublemaker in school but he always had a connection with Chanel because she helped him with his studies. Circumstances caused them to lose connection from but now Ace is back and he is ready to claim his woman. I was here for every word of this story. This is the perfect beginning of a “You deserve” love story. Chanel has been back and forth with her baby’s father doing the bare minimum and she’s tired. Ace came, put it down and swept sis off her feet. I loveddddd that he wanted to take care of her and valued her. Ace is a boss who knew what he wanted and Chanel is on the menu. I understood her hesitancy as a single mother myself but I’m so glad she got over her insecurities and decided to give Ace a chance. Her baby’s father was a weak mess. Typical male who doesn’t want to do better until they see their woman moving on. Bye Maurice . Good riddance. This is a quick sweet and sexy read about getting what you deserve and believing that you deserve it. This was definitely too short. I wanted so much more

Very pleasant read. Ace saw his girl and claimed his girl. Chanel a bit fragile, but she was a willing participant. Extremely short, so it was very fitting this for this boring asś Zoom training and call this morning. The way the author ended this book seems like there's gonna be a part 2. If there is, I'm here for it!!!

Short but spicy. Ace was everything ok. But I really enjoyed this story. For a short we got the background of the characters and I found myself rooting for Chanel to let go of her reservations and choose him. And those sex scenes Baybey 🔥🔥🔥 loved it!

Short & Sweet...
Queen D. Rose really came through with this friends to lovers novella.
Ace & Chanel both had a crush pin each other back in high school but never told the other. They developed a friendship that lasted until he was expelled and sent away. Now all grown up, a girls night out leads her back to Ace. They spent an amazing night together😜💦
Maurice 'ol I wanna throw my weight around cause I ain't ish and don't want you moving on. When that fool said if the baby not mine you gonna give me another try😳🙄😒🤣.
I'm glad Ace was a man's man and didn't allow Maurice showing up at his business rattle him. I would've loved to have a epilogue to get an update on life after they started dating.

April 26, 2022I read The New Year Resolution and this novelette, Together Again (both by the same author) back to back. Again, I think novelettes just might not be for me because it's kind of "blink and you'll miss it".

Chanel was a busy single mom and deciding to have a night out, Chanel runs into her high school crush Ace. Ace and Chanel spend a night together and wondered where they will go from there. Ace returning to town for a extended time, him and Chanel decided to give each other a chance. This was a great quick read and I wanted more. Chanel was in a not so great relationship with her ex, but seeing Ace all the feelings she had about him returned. They were a great couple together and I wanted more from them!!

This is the story of young, single mom, Chanel, who’s trying to navigate a messy relationship with her ex/baby daddy when she runs into her high school crush, Ace, who has made good and is a successful night club entrepreneur. The instant chemistry and feelings are mutual but with past experience having taught her mistrust, and her ex/baby daddy finally trying to do the basic things she’s demanded from him all along, Chanel has decisions to make.
Overall, I liked this. It’s a novelette so of course it feels short and possibly also a little incomplete but it was okay. To me, I think you’re coming to this more for an erotic romance novelette more than a full on story. I think Chanel and Ace kind of jumped into bed a little too soon for me in the way that there was quite a bit of story and history between them that is unspoken or summarized, and so what was between them felt awkward to me being too much for a one-night stand, but too little reflected upon for the history they shared. I also feel like Ace’s feelings for Chanel kind of wavered between friends with benefits and love of his life. And if the relationship was “love of his life,” it would have been nice to have seen that develop on page rather than just be told and not know when these extra feelings were caught. I think this had great social commentary on the burden of childcare being on single women with their children’s father’s expecting accolades or whining over doing the bare minimum of being part-time parents. I loved that Chanel had the courage and agency to look for opportunities to be her own person and have a separate “grown up” life as a single mother. I liked her friend for supporting and encouraging her in that. The ending was a little abrupt for me. But if you’re on the hunt for a quickie spicy, escapist read about a single mother, this might be the ticket. All of that said, I thought this was okay and I would read more by this author.

Short but fiery!
I thoroughly enjoyed this novelette. It takes a unique talent to pull together a powerful and complete story in a few words giving us the chemistry, character development and engaging storyline, those factors that make a great read. This author delivered giving us sexy Ace on a platter that showcased Maurice's insecurities...I loved it!! Definitely want more but completely satisfied.

Ms. Rose you did it again. This was a short but cute love story. Of course, I wanted more of Ace and Chanel. I can just imagine all of the adventures they are going to embark on. I love how their foundation and bond was built during their high school years. They knew each other as teenagers and re-learned dreams, career goals, travel plans as adults.
This is a great read and way to start your weekend.

He just don’t know if Ace was the old him he would have been flat faced on the ground coming to that man place of business. I just want to know is there another book of these two because I would love to see what is happening now.

Who doesn't like a quickie?
Chanel and Ace's story was quick and cute 😍 I loved it! Shout out to her bestie for being supportive and Ace for standing in the gap and caring for Chanel the way she deserved. Maurice was embarrassing, he should have loved and appreciate her and Bryson from jump... This was a short story but I really enjoyed it!

Cute short! Loved Ace! He strolled on the scene, made all his feelings know, and tossed the ball back into Chanel's court. Chanel, found all of her old feelings for Ace being reignited, but didn't know how to deal with them. Their chemistry was smokin' hot! Hope we get a full length story from these two. 👍👍👍

2.75 stars. Unfortunately, this wasn’t what I was hoping for. I just can’t seem to get into D. Rose’s writing style and there were some things during some scenes that bothered me. Overall, this was disappointing for me.

Needed more
This was another great story by Ms. D. Rose. I love second chances at love stories and I loved the history and the chemistry between Chanel and Ace. My only complaint is I wish their story were longer cuz Ms. Rose definitely left me wanting more. Highly recommend.

Good read
I loved the vibe between Ace and Chanel and their story really had potential to be more than a novelette. However, it was enjoyable - I got wrapped up and was like damn it's over. Maurice was a hot mess and I'm glad Ace was unbothered.
