I have really enjoyed going through this devotional! The central message is that you do not need to be afraid because you have Almighty God on your side standing with you. You will read about how God provides, focusing on what truly matters, trusting God's will, and many other topics that fall under the category of anxiety. This book is very visually appealing and full of beautiful pops of color. It is a 30 day devotional, and each day is split into 5 parts. The first is what God says about worrying. This is a list of several scripture references that fit into the theme of that day. Next, there is a message from Candace. This message is about a page long. Then, there are 2-3 reflection questions to answer, which plenty of space to do so. Following that, there is an interactive portion (i.e. filling in a chart or list) to help you to really think about what you are reading. Finally, there is a QR code that you can scan to see a 45 second to one minute video from Candace, reviewing the daily lesson. Each day does not take too long to complete, and it is engaging and meaningful. I highly recommend this book, if you are looking for a new devotional and are walking through a season of worry or anxiety.
Truly enjoyed this devotion. I loved the parts consisting of “thinking on it” and “acting on it”, which makes me more likely to stop and think and how to use what I learned in my everyday life.
Love quick devotions, but often times I need something that will help me engage more, and this one did!
I like Candace. Unfortunately, this was just not deep enough for me. Probably better for new Christians, or for those who struggle with worrying more about the small stuff.
