4☆ A Heart Warming, Feel-good Contemporary Romance!

Spring Siren is the fourth and final book in this loveable series.
Each book is about one of the four friends, and can be read as a standalone, but I do recommend you read them all as they are brilliant!

This time round it's Jools Story.
Jools and her loveable Gran work together to run Boardwalk Books, a quaint second-hand bookshop that they run in their cottage.
Although Jools helps her Gran run the book shop, her passion is art and her talent is quiet clearly painting!

Jools and Finn have been getting close, but when he leaves her to go travelling, she decides to give long distance a go, whilst she keeps busy with work and her passion for painting, she has plenty to keep her occupied.
I mean does long distance relationships really work?

Well I guess Jools is about to be tested when she meets the handsome artist Marius and it's quickly obvious they have a connection. But will Marius sweep her off her feet? Or is she destined to be with Finn? I know who I was rooting for 😏 but I'll let you figure it out for yourselves.

What I loved about this book is that none of the characters from the previous books get left out. It was so nice to catch up with them all ( Lexi, Sacha and Bella) especially as it's the last installment. It all ties up nicely.

Once again Georgina Troy has written another heart warming gem.
It's a Warm and Cosy, Feel-good Romance, the location is idyllic, the characters are superbly written and I feel like I really know each one really well now.
Spring Siren is the perfect end to an Uplifting and Enjoyable Series.
If you haven't yet had the pleasure of reading the Boardwalk by the Sea series then I highly recommend you grab a copy!

Another truly enjoyable addition to this series of books and a lovely way to round off the series.

This time it's Spring on the Boardwalk and Jules is our focus although Bella, Sacha and Lexie are rather prominent too, so we get to see how all their stories will turn out.

I love Jules with her bookshop and also just how talented she is as an artist. She's modest and a great friend too.

And the connection she has with Marius was instant and I was hoping she preferred him over Finn.

This was such a entertaining story, that once more highlighted the beauty of Jersey, and how lucky the author is to make the island her home.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole book and series and highly recommend them if you enjoy small island romances, with a great cast of characters and great storylines from a talented author.

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This is the fourth book in a series set in the fictional town on the island of Jersey – but I can vouch for the fact that it works as a standalone as I haven’t read any of the previous books in the series. Each book apparently has one of four friends as the main protagonist and in this story that is Jools Jones. The story is related from her point of view.

After just a couple of dates with Finn Gallichan, he leaves the island to travel for a few months – and the only communication Jools has with him is a solitary post card. Jools has a busy life, with looking after her grandmother and helping run her second-hand bookshop, keeping in touch with her friends and others in their close knit community as well as working on her paintings which are proving increasingly popular. She’s not worried about waiting for Finn until she meets another person walking their grandparent’s dog! Marius Arnesen is an attractive glass artist and the two connect on a variety of levels. Should she wait for Finn or give Marius a chance? Even with new opportunities, special events and dilemmas, this is still a lovely, relaxing read.

This is a story of friendships, supporting each other, family dynamics, choices and, of course, romance. It is a gentle journey, with stormy seas, beautiful art work and a real sense of community. I’ll definitely look out for more by this author and highly recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing story in a glorious community.

Thank you for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

‘Spring Siren’ is the fourth book in ‘The Broadwalk By The Sea’ series. I haven’t quite caught up with all of the series just yet but I am getting there. I read the synopsis for ‘Spring Siren’ and it certainly sounded like another cracker from Georgina Troy. So without further ado, I grabbed my Kindle, grabbed a cup of tea and settled down for a fun afternoon of reading. I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Spring Siren’ but more about that in a bit.
I loved the character of Jools Jones and I warmed to her from the start. In fact it didn’t take long at all for me to feel as though she had become a friend of mine and I began to feel all protective of her. Jools runs a second hand bookshop with her lovely sounding gran. Jools and her grandmother share a very close relationship and essentially her grandmother brought her up. Jools is in a sort of relationship with Finn, who set off little alarm bells in my head. I just didn’t take to Finn at all. However, the dishy sounding Marius turns up and there’s certainly a lot of chemistry between Jools and Marius. Who will Jools choose? Will Jools get the ‘happy ever after ending’ that she so deserves? Well for the answers to that question and more you are just going to have to read the book for yourselves to find out as I am not going to tell you.
Oh my word, ‘Spring Siren’ was a delight to read and then some. To say that reading it became addictive is a huge understatement. I first picked the book up only intending to read a couple of chapters but I became so wrapped up in the story that I was still sat there reading over an hour and several chapters later. I found that I just couldn’t put the book down. My Kindle wasn’t exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because it travelled everywhere with me. I couldn’t bear to miss a single second of the story. I think part of the reason why I adored this book so much is the fact that I took to Jools so well. I found ‘Spring Siren’ to be another amazing book from Georgina Troy.
‘Spring Siren’ is superbly written. Georgina certainly knows how to create interesting characters and she describes them so vividly and realistically that the characters in the book seem just as real as you and I. Georgina certainly knows how to grab your attention from the start and draw you into an adorable story. I loved the way that Georgina brought ‘The Broadwalk By The Sea’ alive. She described it so realistically that I was all ready to pack a suitcase and travel down there for a holiday. I felt I was part of the story and that’s thanks to Georgina’s very vivid and realistic storytelling.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Spring Siren’ and I would recommend it to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of Georgina’s work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

This is book four in the Boardwalk by the sea series. I came into this series at book three so had to finish off with this one so I can go back to book one and two. Each book focuses on a new character from the town. Since I read book three I was already familiar with the town and most characters but this book focuses on Jools. The artist. Lovely jools.

I just love this little town and all the characters, it’s like being welcomed home again. It’s a very uplifting, friendly, romance filled and community coming together story. I just love everything about it. Jools is an artist, a very good artist but she also works alongside her nan in the bookshop below their home. Perfect setting. We see a lot of jools love life in this story and her friendships with the other girls. It’s a beautiful read. A break for the mind.

Loved it all. Especially Mr handsome Marius eh. Wink wink. Hot. Highly recommend. Sad to see this series end. But least I can go back to book one and two. Brilliantly written. Easy to devour. well deserved four stars from me.

Another wonderful visit to the Boardwalk series - this time it’s Spring and we get to know and appreciate more about Jools, the artist. Living with her fabulous grandmother, Jools is learning to have confidence in herself and her own abilities whilst still being the ever supportive friend to Lexi, Bella and Sacha. It was lovely meeting up with the old friends again, and the introduction of Marius and Alan was a great addition to the cast. A heartwarming story to wrap you up in a hug.

Spring Siren is the fourth and final novel in the Boardwalk by the Sea series. Each novel features one of four friends, Sacha, Bella, Lexi, and Jools. As the first three had their adventures in the previous novels, it is time for Jools to take center stage. Although I have not read the other three, there are pieces mentioned from the other novels. For me, I would love to circle back and read the others just to round out my reading experience and gain some more background on everyone, but I would not say that it is necessary if the reader chose to read this as a standalone.

Jools Jones is 29-year-old woman who is a very talented local artist. She lives with her grandmother and helps her run Boardwalk Books. I love the fact that the house is located as above the bookshop as that is a very enviable commute and one I wish I had! Jools and her grandmother have a very cute relationship where they greatly care for each other, but give the other their own space when they need it. They were a delight when they interacted with each other. Additionally, I loved the relationship shared between Jools, Bella, Lexi, and Sacha as they interact a lot throughout the stories and it is very obvious to the reader that they are great friends that will be with each other through thick and thin.

Jools has met a new man that has a lot of potential. It has only been a few dates, but it seems that Finn has great potential. It helps that Finn also helps out at the local gelato place, so he is a somewhat member of the community. Unfortunately, Finn has a preplanned trip with his friend abroad and will be gone for a few weeks leaving his new relationship with Jools in limbo. Although Jools is not ready to immediately settle down with Finn, the relationship is so new that she does not know how to feel about him and their potential future.

Marius Arnesen provides a slight complication after Jools has a meet-cute with him while walking their dogs. Marius is a fellow artist, a glass blower, and a sea search and rescue volunteer. The two immediately hit is off and Marius ends up offering a partnership with Jools for a new exhibit. As the exhibit will feature his glass sculptures and her paintings as complimentary pieces, the two of them will need to work closely together to make this exhibit a success. Now that Jools finds herself firmly attracted to Marius, she needs to figure out if it is worth pursuing a relationship with him, even though she is not fully sure how he feels, or try to work it out with Finn, who she has her own doubts about considering his absence isn’t exactly making her heart grow fonder.

Overall, Jools was a fun character as she wants everyone to be happy that it seemed that she did not always put herself first, even if she needed to do it. Marius was an excellent character as he was there for Jools while being respectful with her romantic situation. The art itself was described beautifully and I would easily buy both the glass work and paintings to put in my own home! The small town is well described and I would love to live in a place like this! The story is a very light-hearted and heart-warming story about Jools finding her own happiness and the amazing feeling of having a great community to support you!

**I give a special thank you to Rachel @rararesources and the author, Georgina Troy for the opportunity to participate with this excellent and heartwarming novel. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.**

I was so excited to visiting the Boardwalk again and I wasn’t disappointed. Spring Siren is Jools’s story but is also full of previous characters from the other books in the series. It does work as a stand-alone novel and the books can be read out of order but it’s interesting to know the background of the other characters and also, I felt like I was returning to a familiar and welcoming place.
The community around The Boardwalk is so welcoming and as a reader, I felt so drawn into it – as though I had lived there all my life and really belonged. The quirky but delightful characters provide such a cosy feel to the novel and bring it to life.
The Boardwalk itself is picturesque and quaint. It’s a place I’d love to spend a week mooching around. I love the thought of staying in one of the fishermen’s cottages or perusing the books in Jools’s shop.
I loved the story of Jools. In Winter Whimsy she originally came across as a little prickly and rude but actually, she was soft but fiercely loyal and protective of her friends. She’s actually sweet and extremely thoughtful towards others, often forgetting to be kind to herself. It was heart breaking when she finally felt that she had met someone who she had a spark with, and he decided to go and travel. Chemistry sparks though when she meets Marius. I enjoyed her journey and really felt her dilemma when she was faced with choosing between both men but cheered for a particular victor.
This series is just delightful and I’m sad to see it end but also feel that the ending is very satisfactory. I’m really hoping to see a new series or stand alone from Georgina in the future as I just love her writing style.
A feel good read that will have you smitten at the first chapter.

This is the 4th and last book in the series set in the Boardwalk by the Sea. This series is set in the same town at different seasons of the year. It’s also set around four friends: Sacha, Bella, Lexi and Jool and how they find love while maintaining their own professions.

In January, I read Winter Whimsy which was Lexi’s story. Spring Siren tells us Jool’s story.

I still haven’t read the first two books in the series but I was easily able to enjoy this spring season at the Boardwalk which had a sweet romance for Jool.

I felt like this book even though it was focused on Jool definitely tied up a lot of loose ends about other characters. This didn’t feel like a distraction at all but gave the whole book a very cozy feel.

Boardwalk Books

Loved all this series of books. However for me this is the best. It ties together the lives of the fiends and their partners. Georgina has written so well and researched her 'plot'. The characters come to life without swamping us with too much description. Lovely story of Jools finding the man of her dreams. Well done Georgina.

This might be the last of the friends' stories but it might also just happen to be my favourite so far. I love the delicious descriptions of the Boardwalk, brought so vividly to life by the author. Of course, the fact that a lot of the action centres around a bookshop is another bonus and the search for a missing book is the icing on the cake. A worthy end to the series.

Who is the right man for Jools?

Jools Jones has just started dating Finn Gallichan. Even if Finn goes travelling for several months over, Jools is not worried. She has her paintings and helping out her grandmother with Boardwalk Books to keep her busy. And when Finn returns, they will pick up where they left off.
However, when glass artist Marius Arnesen enters the scene, Jools feels that attraction towards him. Not only does he show a genuine interest in her paintings, he also has more in store than Jools thought.
Who will be the one that will really steal Jools’ heart?

What a lovely story to read! First of all, it was amazing to return to Boardwalk! And what a lovely characters are being protagonists!

Jools is a woman so recognizable and wonderful. She enjoys painting, and even if she doesn’t see it herself, she is really talented. And how she looks after her grandmother, is just lovely. Of course caring about your family is something natural and obvious in most cases. But Jools truly has a kind heart even towards strangers. Just look at the lengths she goes to just find a specific book for a customer!

I have to admit, Finn was not a character I really warmed to, so I was kind of glad he took of rather quickly! 🤣
Marius on the other hand got me nearly swooned! Not only is he also a talented glass artist, but he isn’t afraid of risking his own life at sea to help those in need.

Seeing back some characters that were the leading characters in the previous parts, was an additional extra, because these people were the kind of people you want to have in your own life. Jools and her friends are so close and the love between them is very obvious. Even if sometimes a minor clash is taking place, they don’t hold a grudge and are always able to see the bigger picture. No matter if for happy moments or for terrifying moments, the girls are there for each other.
Just like her friends, Jools finds honesty an important value. And even if it would be easy to just go for Marius and disregard Finn, she wants to do the right thing.

Not only was is sweet to see how Jools and Marius grow closer, but I especially liked seeing how Jools got more confident about herself and her abilities. Not only her friends, but also Marius are nudging her in believing that she has a talent, and seeing how she starts to finally believe it herself, made me smile.

I found this a beautiful story to read about two people falling in love, yet not wanting to hurt another one in the process. It shows the beauty of friendship, but about showing kindness towards just everyone.
This book is the perfect way to escape the world around you and uplift your mood! It surely did uplift mine!
