Whilst it's not as epic as the previous volume, I appreciated the slower pace. We got to see what our group would do when faced with children trapped in a dungeon and they didn't disappoint. They did the hero game and showed their strength where other heroes shuddered way, in fear of getting killed.
The church clearly has an agenda somewhere and I'm keen to see what that is because something isn't right there, you can just tell something is off and it's not all about the money.
I think my favorite bit was when the group had a chill session and got supplies, fantasy series don't always need to be about dungeons and fighting monsters. It's nice to see what they do day to day. It was also cool seeing them communicating with a nobleman because again it's not something we see unless they're the villain and their join comradery was very nice, I'm so glad this series isn't doing the normal gimmicks and is very much doing its own thing.
