But the foul Goddess who sent him to his death is too powerful for a head-on attack. First, he needs someone to watch his back, and who better than the beautiful, fugitive elf princess who keeps crossing his path? The two outcasts make a great team, but terrifying enemies are closing in—including a knight named Civit Garland, the the strongest human in the world.

I don’t have too much to say about this one, it was entertaining however, it didn’t get me excited to read the next volume. I might pick this series up again eventually, but for now it’s just a generic isekai revenge plot.

This is still fine reading to pass the time, though the one-dimensionality of the supporting cast is grating on me. Especially the ridiculous talk from all the male bad guys toward the elf girl. This is pretty much on par with Arifureta, but at least without the harem aspect so it's cringy in other ways, namely with the pov from the elf girl and how she's falling for the MC.

I will probably read the next book in the series since I have the momentum to, but not sure how much deeper I will go.

This isn't quite as good as the previous volume and seems to be heading down some more cliched paths, but I'm still invested in Tooka getting revenge on the goddess.

The author demonstrates very little emotional intelligence. A little too much passion for rape, sexual assaults, etc. for it to be a light novel meant to be read by young adults and minors. According to the U.S./Canadian and Japanese laws, to promote sexual crimes to minors, having sexual crimes done to minors is a very serious crime. Both the author and publisher should be persecuted and fined.
The size of the volumes are small, the ideas the author uses come from other light novels like Arifureta and Shield Hero, so it's not really original nor interesting.
The dialogues are about 50% too long, explanations not needed too long and there is little action to so many dialogues and unneeded explanations. Even though this is a copy of other better and more known isekais, what the author proposes different, is very little and not good.

More disappointment.

First the writing is good the story is not. Like I mentioned in my review of the first book the stat system in this book was completely dropped it’s not even mentioned except in passing on a couple occasions so despite the fact he has enormous bonuses to all of his stats he’s pretty much just a regular guy. He could have a +10,000,000 and still have no effect on him. It seems the only thing he truly has going for him is his one trick. So what if he’s over level 1500 it truly has no effect on him. That aside most of the characters in this book are like black and white caricatures. His whole class seem to been made up a borderline psychopaths. I’m sorry I think this is the last book in the series I’m going to read I don’t see it going anywhere.

My only real complaint with the novel was that the diction was so simple that it took me only two days for me to finish the book and it has often been commented that I am a very slow reader. That is just a personal preference and it doesn't remove from the content of the story. In this volume the story starts to deviate from other titles with a similiar plot device. The actions taken by the protagonist are not purely self centered and selfish. While he has gone through some trauma he has not completely lost his humanity. I am curious to see how the relation grows between the two main leads grows and evolves and what's going to happen to band of summoned heroes which are still under the foot of the foul goddess.

What's really surprising about this series is how much thought went into the worldbuilding. The nasty, everyone-is-a-sexual-predator cadre of villains makes a ton of sense based on how power is gained in this world. Might is right, and teamwork is worthless when a single person can hoard so much personal strength. The result is this moral-less society. Nothing but bare-knuckle politics and the constant threat of violence.

And into this is an MC that really, really gets it. And holds nothing back. Nothing but ruthless practicality.

Definitely an acquired taste.

Great follow up

Great follow up. I like the fact that the mc thinks differently about beating his opponents, instead of having the author beat the crap out of him forever only to have him pull something out of his ass to win. Also the book is full of story progression not just overly descriptive fight scenes.

Finally moved past the ruin and have Mimori interact with society. Not as interesting as Sogou's situation if I'm being frank. Sogou doesn't come off as invincible and is forced to struggle, which I like to see in a character. If the author ever creates a spinoff for Sogou, I would like to see that.

Decent story and a fast read

Finally get some new skills toward the end. A fast read. More insight into the awful goddess.

More examples of how horrible men can be. I don't know if the author is a man or woman, but the way this story is written, the author must hate men.

Have fun!!

Touka continue to run into Seras as he takes the first steps in his quest of revenge against the goddess that tried to kill him. It was short but I felt like this volume was a little more entertaining.

Great

This is easily one of the greatest light novels I have read so far! If this ever gets animated, it'll be great!

I love the fantasy isekai trope. Slimes being front and centre in them is a Japanese plot point at its finest, Dragonquest is in the hearts of many a light novel reader apparently.
