One of the most dangerous men in the country just became her only ally.

Investigative journalist Lexi Ivanov needs one thing to crack the most important case of her career: the top-secret ledger belonging to Lionsgate Kinship—the organization that murdered her family. And it’s in the possession of Nash Holmes, the elite brotherhood’s deadly enforcer. Fighting her attraction to the monster who helped take everything from her, she drugs Nash before their romp in the bedroom goes too far. And then, with the ledger in hand, she runs.

Having a woman drug and steal from him is the ultimate shame. Nash fell for the sexy seductress’s trick and now he has to pay the price. Asking for forgiveness from his adoptive father, who is also the brotherhood’s Grand Chancellor, is even more humiliating. But he’s given a mission that will allow him to redeem himself and stop the lying vixen from selling their secrets to the media: he must kill her.

Following Lexi’s twisted escape route, Nash finally locates her. Only he soon learns she has something much greater than what he’s after, and not just a smokin’ body—information so dark and deadly that he’s forced to investigate. If she’s telling the truth, everything he’s ever known has been a scam, and he’s aided the world’s most heinous criminals.

This might be a me problem but I didn’t find this to be a “dark” romance. More just a mafia romance with heavier themes. I guess that’s what would define dark romance though isn’t it? Ignore me. While the steam was great, the characters felt lacking a bit to me. Even as their backstories unraveled I still didn’t feel super connected to either of them which then makes it a struggle to feel the chemistry between them. Wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst. Will likely continue on with the series at some point.

Bound is the 1st book in new to me author Samantha Wilde's "Blood Brothers" series.
This is an erotic ride into the criminal underworld focusing on deadly enforcer Nash and investigative journalist Lexi who is investigating the organization that murdered her family.
A fast-paced romantic suspense that I thoroughly enjoyed!
I look forward to the next book in the series.

Thank you to BookSirens for a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

This book started off with a bang. Literally. But also not literally. Read it, you'll understand the joke. But there's definitely no easing into the plot with Bound. Author Samantha Wilde just tosses you right into the action in the very best of ways.

This book is definitely a must-read for people who love their romantic suspense and want their books exciting from beginning to end with hardly a moment to breath. Lexi is on the run from the very first page and she doesn't--can't--slow down or she'll end up yet another victim in a long line of victims of the Brotherhood. She has a mission that all readers can understand: revenge for her family. And, though she may be in a position that 99.9% of readers have never been in, Wilde makes sure that she's relatable. She has the right combination of fire, bravery, and boldness to make her the perfect romantic suspense heroine. There were a couple times that I worried she was edging into too-stupid-to-live territory (i.e. that grave place where heroine's sometimes stray where they would prefer to making daring moves than safe ones, usually culminating in the hero having to rescue them from themselves), but overall I think she stayed just on the right side of the line, making understandable mistakes, but not outright ridiculous ones.

Nash was a great hero. I was worried he was going to be all alpha-hole the entire book, but he quickly morphed from is this hero really the bad guy to good guy in a bad situation. If you love your heroes to be full blown alphas who can still be brought to tears and panic at the idea of their woman being hurt, then he's perfect for you. And he's sexy as sin, so that helped. I am extra intrigued about his mysterious older brothers--one's a freaking assassin--and loved their appearances in the book as well.

The book was a little less sex than I expected (not less hot, just less legitimate sex on the page) but honestly that was a little refreshing because they were on the run from bad guys almost the entire time and sometimes I'm rolling my eyes wondering how they're fitting in so much nooky time when a bad guy with a gun could barge in at any time and catch them with their pants down. Still, the sparks between these two characters could set the pages on fire.

It's a human trafficking/secret organization plot, so if neither of those float your boat you might want to look elsewhere. But seriously, it was a really intense read with good plot, interesting characters, and spice. What more could you want?

Talk about starting off with a run from the very first sentence! This book captured me from the start. I was really intrigued by both Lexi and Nash. Lexi is a smart, courageous woman who is bound and determined to find out what happened to her family. Nash is drawn to Lexi from the very beginning.

You really are left wondering what is going to happen next for most of the book. I'm not going to lie, there were a couple of moments I wanted to smack Lexi because she was being stupid and careless. She had a bad habit of putting both herself and Nash in bad situations.

Overall, it was a good book!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book is so wonderfully suspenseful! To the others who have rated this and said it’s supposed to be a dark romance, where are you even getting that from? It’s very clearly a suspense romance. The storyline is incredible and hard to put down. There’s moments where I actually laughed out loud and moments where I gasped from the suspense! Overall, it’s a great read to get your mind off things and be taken away in a suspenseful world of secret brotherhoods, sexy men, gorgeous women and a whole lot of plot twists!! I was given a copy of this book for the sole purpose of reviewing it and I can’t wait to read more of this series and all the sexy brothers.

Bound is the first book in the Blood Brothers series by Samantha Wilde. Bound tells the story of Nash, who is an enforcer in a secret society that saved him as a child, and Alexis, the reporter who drugs him to get info for revenge for killing her family. The book is a standalone for this Holmes brother, but there is a story arc that will continue into the next book.

What a fantastic start to the series! The story was interesting and well written. There was tons of action and suspense over who can be trusted, how far up into the government the Lionsgate Kinship is involved, and the circumstances surrounding the brothers. I’m hoping some of the lingering questions about the brothers’ origins will be told in the subsequent books! Nash isn’t as quite as “gritty” as a hero as I expected and I actually liked it a lot. He’s very protective, but also sensitive to others. As much as Lexi frustrates him, he enjoys their back and forth and wants to look out for her. Lexi is completely driven by revenge and the mystery of what’s happened to her brother. She’s kick @ss and doesn’t back down, especially when something important is at stake. Their chemistry is super hot right from the beginning, but the book isn’t overly flooded with smexy times. Can’t wait Dare’s book next!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Enemies to Lovers
Angst: 😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
Tiggers: Child trafficking

4.25 stars--BOUND is the first instalment in Samantha Wilde’s contemporary, adult BLOOD BROTHERS dark, erotic, criminal underworld romance series focusing on the Holmes brothers-Nash, Cole, Dallas and Dare. This is Nash Holmes, enforcer for the Lionsgate Kinship, and investigative journalist Lexi Ivanov’s story line.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Nash and Lexi) BOUND follows Alexi ‘Lexi’ Ivanov in the aftermath of the theft of a ledger containing Lionsgate secrets, secrets that once revealed will show a dark and dangerous past. Lexi Ivanov is investigating the murder of her parents, and the disappearance of her brother Brooks, a murder she blames on the Lionsgate Kinship. Her father Yuri, and her brother Brooks were once highly respected members of the Brotherhood but Lexi’s father discovered an anomaly in the bookkeeping, and his life was forfeited along with the rest of her family. Hoping to get revenge, Lexi seduces Lionsgate enforcer Nash Holmes in an effort to steal the ledger that will reveal the secrets of the Lionsgate group but Lexi’s escape to Russia is followed by our story line hero, and in the ensuing days and weeks Nash will fall for his intended target. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Lexi and Nash, and the potential fall-out as Lexi and Nash discover the true depths of depravity of the Lionsgate sins.

Nash Holmes is the adopted son of the man in charge but Lexi’s revelations are about to show Nash that he never really knew the man he once called father.Lexi is desperate to prove that Lionsgate is responsible for the death of her family but convincing Nash means to destroy the man he worshipped and adored. Lexi Ivanov knows that once the truth comes out,she may find herself with an even larger target on her back than the one on her back, now.

The relationship between Lexi and Nash begins as enemies when Lexi seduces, drugs and steals an important ledger from the Lionsgate group. Nash has been ordered to search for, and take down our story line heroine but something about Lexi calls to his heart. Lexi knows that if she is caught, there are no second chances but proving to Nash that the man he calls father is not the man he has come to respect, means getting up close and personal with the dirty side of life. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

We are introduced to Nash’s brothers Cole and Dallas, as well as his ‘mentor’ and ‘father’ Conrad, Lionsgate enforcers Drew and Leith.

BOUND is a story of betrayal and vengeance; secrets and lies; revelations and deception; family, friendships, relationships, and love. The character driven premise is dramatic, haunting and tragic; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are edgy and dynamic.

As I read the blurb and opening sentences of this book, I was concerned about the content. However, this crime drama is well-written, suspenseful, and romantic. Lexi Ivanov is one determined lady. After her parents are murdered and her brother's disappearance, she follows the lead that Brooks sent her and discovers a truth so appalling that it could have international repercussions. Duping Nash, an enforcer for the brotherhood and guardian of the ledger she seeks is just the first step. As Lexi flees across the world with the ledger, she soon realizes that Nash is not far behind. Unwillingly, Nash and Lexi form a partnership and as they get to understand one another, trust develops between them until Nash comes to the realization that all he believed was in fact a lie. This novel is fast-paced and suspenseful, with an attraction that springs up between the main characters as their dependence upon one another increases. Although this book is the start of a series, this novel is a standalone and the case comes to a successful conclusion with the promise of justice being served. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

This is the first book in the Blood Brothers series. I had not read any books by this author, but I certainly will now. I was drawn into the intriguing storyline right away. Nash and Lexi’s romantic story is dark and erotic. Definitely for mature audiences! This was, for me, a very entertaining, enjoyable read. *this honest review is based on a complimentary copy via BookSirens*

I would like to thank the author for providing me with an ARC of this novel, in exchange for which I am writing this completely honest review.

Bound by Samantha Wilde is a story full of suspense, action, romance and the perfect sprinkle of emotions. I finished this book in just two sittings, even though the chapters seemed kind of long. Once I picked it up, it was next to impossible to put it down. And even when I did put it down, I found myself constantly thinking about what was going to happen next to Alexis and Nash.

The book starts off with a very steamy scene between our two protagonists, but quickly changes the mood to suspense and intrigue when we get to know that there is more to this sexy encounter than what meets the eye. The story then progresses at a great pace, full of action and suspense and mysteries to unravel. The sexual tension between the two characters is raw and strong, and is clearly visible to us readers without having to emphasize on it too much.

One thing I loved about this book is that the characters were well written and did so much justice to the roles given to them. Alexis Ivanov as an investigative journalist seeking revenge for the death of her family, was an absolute spitfire. She was feisty, she was stubborn, but more importantly, she really knew how to kick some ass. Danger and death did not deter her from her ultimate goal of exposing the Lionsgate men, and I admired that so much. Until the very end, she did not give herself a break until she got to the end of what she started.

Nash, on the other hand, was such a loveable, swoon-worthy male protagonist. I loved how he respected Lexi's decisions (sexual or otherwise), even when he knew he was putting himself in danger right alongside her. He has had scars of his own to carry, and his journey towards finally starting to heal after falling for the supposed enemy... it was beautiful and fulfilling. I wanted to see a bit more of a glimpse into Nash's memories of Summer, and was also hoping there might be something in the end to tie it all together and perhaps give us a clue to her whereabouts. I am still hoping we might get to see more of this in the sequel.

I also really loved the bond between Nash and his brothers Cole, Dare and Dallas. Although it wasn't a major part of the story, it still came through to the readers crystal clear that the brothers would do anything to keep each other safe. I guessed (incorrectly) that the next book would be about Cole, but turns out its going to be about Dare, and I am excited!

The writing is from third person perspective (which I usually do not enjoy as much as first person pov), but I did not seem that have that issue with this novel. I completely devoured it from the get-go. The one thing that constantly kept running in my mind when I was reading was that, I would really love to see this is a movie! The action, the excitement, the twists and turns and the romance... it would be amazing to watch it on big screens! The pacing and sequences of this book really seemed like a movie to me, and the author's descriptions helped me visualize it all in my head perfectly.

So to sum it all up, this is a solid mafia romance novel full of dangerous love and even more dangerous truths. I am quite critical of romance novels these days, so you can trust me when I say this one is really worth reading! Great job, Samantha! I am looking forward to reading the next novel, as well as other books by you.

Samantha Wilde’s Bound is a fast-paced, sexy-as-hell, thrill-ride I couldn’t put down! So much action and a story that draws you in, keeping you guessing until the end. I loved every minute of it!

Lexi Ivanov is devastated after losing her family. But her parents didn’t die in an accident like was led to believe. They were murdered, with her narrowly escaping with her own life. In order to prove the powerful Lionsgate Kinship—an organization her father and brother were both a part of—are nothing but murdering thugs, she must dive deep into the society to expose their secrets. Secrets they will do anything to keep.

Nash Holms was plucked from foster care and raised by the leader of Lionsgate. He was brought up to respect the organization, putting them first always. As he rose the ranks, his responsibilities grew, leaving him in position of an important ledger that he must keep safe at all times. When the sexy woman he brings home from the bar drugs, and then robs him, he’s irate. When his adopted father, Conrad, finds out the ledger has been stolen, he is order to not only retrieve the book, but kill the vixen who stole it.

Lexi is on the run, but she’d no match for Nash who finds her quickly. His conscious nags at him not to kill her, and when the woman who’s haunted his dreams since she left him unsatisfied and all-but-dead to the world confesses everything she knows, Nash must get to the bottom of things. Conrad and the powerful Lionsgate can’t be responsible for the crimes she claims. It’d go against everything he’s known and believed for most of his life. But when the truth can no longer be ignored, and a hit is placed on Nash’s head as well, the smoke and mirrors vanish and the ugly secrets can no longer be ignored.

Bound is a story of two people, desperate to expose corruption and evil, no matter the cost. As time runs out, they must face a truth about the world around them they thought they knew, as well as acknowledge that the heat building between them is more than just desire. Bound is a must-read and explosive start to a series I can’t wait to read the rest of.

I did a bad thing. I didn’t read this series in chronological order and now I feel like I have to reread all of them so that I can appreciate all the little details I missed the last time.

This book is gold. If you enjoy fast paced romantic suspense, look no further.

Plot:
Lexi is after revenge. Her family were murdered and she knows exactly who’s responsible. There’s nothing she won’t do to punish them publicly. Even if it means she has to drug and steal from the hottest man she’s ever set her eyes on.

Nash thought he was going to get laid and instead finds himself on the floor in his penthouse, drugged and robbed. All he wants to do is wring the beautiful woman’s neck while also demanding they finish what they had started.

When the two finally collide into each other again in Russia, Lexi reveals all the dirt she has on Nash’s brotherhood and makes him question everything he’s ever known.

What I loved:
- Nash. The man has the patience of a saint.
- The story line and pace were brilliant
- The brothers. I can’t wait to have all of their stories.
- The amount of attention Lexi gives Nash’s arms. Because arms are sexy. 🤤
- Lexi’s spunk and determination.
- The sexual tension was up the roof. Omg Wilde really went for it this time. I think the build up was sexier than the actual sex. So so hot.

Hmmm… let’s talk about Lexi.
- I felt that Lexi was so mean sometimes. Nash was incredible with her and she wasn’t giving him an inch. I understand why but that man deserved some more softness. This is specifically about the beginning. She definitely softens later but I just wish she’d given Nash a little softness in the beginning.

Regardless of all of this, I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the rest of the books. I’m especially excited for Cal. Hello there darkness 😏😏😏

To Whom This May Concern:

I would first like to say that this is the first time I am reading a product of Samantha Wilde. This is the first book in the Blood Brother’s series.

The couple in this book is Alexis Ivanov and Nash Holmes. The relationship started off by Alexis tricking Nash, so she can get what she wants. Nash finds her and deals with her. The couple’s vibe is enemies to lovers in a sense. However, they were enemies on false pretenses. The female main character did not develop as well as the male main character. Alexis is a journalist and Nash is a day trader with a habit on the side.

In this book, the plot was revolves around Alexis Ivanov trying to figure out what her brother, Brooks, left for her. By doing that, she runs into Nash Holmes and manipulates him. Alexis had a heroine superior complex that was just annoying to read. For example, she had to do this or that when in actuality she just caused more problems. The book is written in dual point of view, Alexis and Nash.

The “romance” scene was not steamy. I will never judge on the amount of romance scenes in a book, but more the quality of the scenes themselves. The first actual steam scene was at 65% of the book. It is more of a slow burn than anything. There is only one scene, which was lackluster as well.

The ending of the book tied the book together and the character’s conflicts were address.

With that being said, I give the book a 4 out of 5. The plot was very well written, but I felt the main relationship lacked passion.

With thanks.

Disclaimer: I did get this book for free through NetGalley. However, I did not get paid for a skewed review. This is an honest review with no intentions to sway readers to persuade sales.

Oh, I really enjoyed this exciting page turner, so much so that I'll let the few off things pass. The book starts off with Nash and a woman he calls Leah in a hot, intimate clash, but pretty soon, it's clear that events are going to end somewhat differently than Nash expects. From there, the pace only picks up more, but never so much where things feel rushed.

I wasn't sure I'd like the story as I stay away from Mafia/MC club-type "romances." I just don't find criminals sexy, and I hate the way they treat women, yuck. But I received a free copy and the reviews I've read suggested I give it a chance, and I'm glad I did. Some vague references to what Nash did as an enforcer made me uncomfortable (none of which happen in the novel, mostly), though we are placated by the old "never women" and "only bad guys who deserved it" routine. In the pages of this book, however, we see a good guy who's tough but never underestimates or doesn't appreciate Lexi and her abilities. That right there wins him massive props. The two start off clashing but soon are in the same side, and as much fun as the enemies part was, the lovers part is much better.

What doesn't work as well for me is the ease with which they maneuver around the real bad guys (mostly). Things like there not being security cameras in certain places or Nash having places he's not tracked sometimes seem like a cheap way for them to get out of sticky parts. But eh, I decided not to care overly much.

I read the story in a matter of hours, unable to put it down. And the remainder of the series just made it on my TBR list.

I received a free copy. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!

It's been quite some time since a book made my heart pound, my breath stop, and the hair on my arms rise. This book was a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure how long it sat in my kindle waiting to be read, but it was far too long. I picked it up as a freebie from another author's newsletter. Once I started reading, I only put it down when I had to walk away to pull myself together after an intense scene, or my husband said dinner was ready. I'd been looking for something fast paced that wouldn't take weeks to finish. All I can say is WOW. This one ticked all the boxes.

Sex happened (eventually), but it was not the point the story relied on to advance the plot. I loved how the sexual chemistry was off the charts, but the author still allowed the relationship to develop a bit before the couple succumbed to it. The intrigue kept me glued to my reader. For those looking for HEA, don't worry, it's there. The epilogue was sweet and a little tear jerking. The story is what I call realistic fantasy. While a bit far fetched for the real world, it is still realistic in what a real life person may be expected to do if faced with similar situations.

My chief complaint that made me roll my eyes was A technical one that so many people get wrong. I cringe every time a gun magazine is called a clip. A "clip," also known as a "stripper clip," is used to load bullets into a magazine. The magazine is inserted into the gun and feeds the ammunition to the barrel when the trigger is pulled. A magazine is not a clip. I know most say that's splitting hairs, but it is a peeve of mine, especially when an author gets so much technically right.

Overall, I loved this book. solid 4.5 stars. I'm off to get the next in the series. I have high hopes for this one.

Great Thrilling Romance

Alexis Ivanov is on a mission to find the truth and she uses her skills from being an investigative journalist to get what she needs. What she needs is a ledger by the Lionsgate Kinship that has the information about her parents death and brothers disappearance. This ledger is in the custody of Nash Holmes, Lionsgate Kinship’s enforcer and adoptive son of Conrad who leads the nefarious organization.

Alexis hatches a plan to seduce Nash in order to get close enough to steal the ledger. She manages to get the ledger and leaves Nash high and dry, and on a mission of his own. Track down the beautiful seductress who tricked and stole from him. However, once he finds her, she explains her truth and the blind loyalty he gives to his adoptive father begins to falter. In order to find the truth, they have to stick together while investigating for answers. They’re in more danger now than ever. While they try to solve this mystery, Nash can’t help but to become more and more attracted to Alexis. The chemistry they have is undeniable, but it’s not all romance in this story, they still have to solve this mystery.

This was a great thrilling, suspenseful romance. Bound is more than a romance. The whole story will keep you intrigued with action, mystery, suspense, danger, and romance. Very well written and well done. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more!!

Wow! This is an intriguing and suspense-filled read. It absorbs you in right from the first page and hard to put down.

"I received this book from eBook discovery. I voluntarily review this book. My friends, I don’t often read dark romance, but after reading Bound: Blood Brothers, I have some thoughts.

Mostly they can be summarized by this sentiment: If you’re going to go for a dark romance, you gotta commit to the darkness.

That’s really awful, isn’t it. I don’t really know where I’m at with this statement. I don’t have anything to offer you, other than the sudden and alarming reflection that somehow, the pandemic fatigue I’m experiencing has turned me into a woman living inside skin thick enough to resemble a lead case. Demanding that dark romances remain, well, dark, the whole way through.

I digress.

The writing was fine in this book, and I’d say it’s probably more of a romantic suspense than “dark”, despite the child trafficking and crime-related violence that saturates the book’s plot. The main characters have a conceivably realistic HEA (on a beach, no less)

I just didn’t love how… soft the book was. Very vanilla, the whole way through. Basically two vanilla people in a grimy setting.

If you don’t love how dark dark romances can be, and you want them to be less..dark… read this book. There’s also some good use of tropes (forced proximity, found family) and swoon-worthy characters.

It just didn’t hit right for me. I needed it to be darker.

Bound by Samantha Wilde is a fast action paced novel. The book was a fast-paced ride from the get go, centering on Lexi Ivanov an investigative journalist who is trying to find out the truth about her murdered family whilst getting caught up in secrets and life or death situations, especially when she steals something from an important company (aka the mafia) and they want it back, regardless of how they get it. Along the way, Lexi must seduce Nash Holmes to get something from him which will help her get the truth, but all it seems to do is open a can of worms that puts her in the Brotherhoods crosshairs and especially Nash's!

From the get-go, this book was charged with intrigue, action and sexy moments between Lexi and Nash. Both characters are a little hot headed, stubborn and have instant chemistry which comes off the pages!

This is a dark, mafia read with some strong themes running through it, it has a lot of mystery and suspense, with a few questions left at the end. But this is a series and there are some other characters in the book who I’m hoping get their own books. Overall, a really good start to a new series.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

This story kicks off at full pace and doesn’t slow down at all throughout. An exciting, suspenseful, dark and engaging story with interesting characters.

I thought the underlying group (Lionsgate) was mildly confusing and I couldn’t pin down what hey actually are. This isn’t a mafia book, and I guess really they are just a group of people with a public facing good front and some members with a different agenda working behind the scenes.

Nash was difficult to pin down and seemed to swing quite quickly from loyalty to his adoptive father and Lionsgate to very easily, with little evidence, believing the worst of them. I did like how his relationship with Lexi developed despite a rather difficult start to say the least. I also loved his relationship with his brothers and look forward to reading more about them.

Lexi was tenacious and true with a strong character and moral compass despite her family being part of Lionsgate for years (though I suppose she would only have seen the legitimate side..) she seemed to not really mourn the loss of her parents (her mother barely mentioned) though some time was spent on her brothers disappearance.

Overall a strong story and I look forward to the next in the series

No strong representation of diverse characters or minority identities.

Rating: 1-star

I should have DNF'd this book. The Heroine isn't the type of journalist that goes into wartorn places. Therefore, given all the action in the book, and the Heroine's job, she should not be alive.

A series misstep was the lack of character development of the Hero and Heroine. The reader doesn't understand why the Heroine is set on bringing The Lionsgate down, given her parents were members. Obviously, the author wanted to draw out the suspense but instead, it created disbelief and disinterest. In a fast-paced, high-action romance like Bound, there need to be high stakes, otherwise, the 100 close-calls don't mean anything. Also, I do not understand why the Hero was so interested in the Heroine – there was zero relationship development and half the time the Hero was threatening to murder the Heroine. Gee, ain't that romantic?

Safety Rating: Safe

Possible Triggers: Yes

**3.5 stars**
I really liked the plot and storyline of Bound.
It’s gripping and has edge of her seat scenes.
Once I started I didn’t to keep reading to know exactly what Lexi stumbled into.
Nash is one of the enforcers of the Lionsgate Kinship.
He is 100% loyal to them.
He has been with the organization for half his life.
Alexis is a journalist.
She’s tough and determined.
She’s tenacious and stubborn.
Nash and Lexi are both likable characters.
Both are now set on finding out the truth behind Nash’s organization.
Which will lead them down paths they never saw coming.
A couple of things I couldn’t get past was how Nash instantly threw away what he had with his organization just because he was attracted to Lexi.
He wasn’t in love with her or even had a relationship with her at this point.
It was just a physical attraction.
Can’t imagine someone who has reached that level just goin against his group for lust so fast.
Nash is also tough and has no problems doling out the punishments the Liongate assign him.
His persona and physical appearance gives off bad tough guy vibes.
But when it came to Lexi it was like that man disappeared and in his place is now a man who basically gets played left and right.
I wish he had stayed more true to his persona.
Overall though a good book.
And I’m looking forward to more of the Blood Brothers.

Forget "you had me at hello" and replace it with "I knew you were different when you drugged me."

*** I received a copy of Bound (Blood Brothers #1 through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Thank you to NetGalley and the author!***

This is such a satisfying romance. It starts out so steamy and then slows down to allow the reader to really just enjoy the action. And boy! There is action and tension! The characters are given so many moments to argue, fight and then slowly come together that when they both give in it is so satisfying. The sex scenes are top tier. Well written and definitely hot.

This was my first Samantha Wilde novel and it will not be my last! By the end of the novel I was completely in love with her writing. Throughout Bound there are funny moments, serious moments and even stressful moments and she manages encapsulates them all! I did not want to put this book down! Bound is definitely a grittier romance with some heavier themes but in the end it really concentrates on the two characters and their love story together.

TW: The topic of human trafficking (of children) is discussed but not gone into heavy detail.

What a fast-paced, sexy thrill ride this book was! The action starts at the very beginning and never lets up. Such an entertaining brain-candy read.
Lexi Ivanov will stop at nothing to get revenge against the Lionsgate Kinship organization for the murders of her family. An organization that her father and brother believed in until an uncovering of secrets that led to their deaths. Now it's up to Lexi to expose the organizations secrets, secrets that the group will do anything to keep buried.
Nash Holmes would give his life for the Lionsgate Kinship. Plucked out of foster care and adopted by the organizations leader, Nash has nothing but love and respect for Lionsgate. Rising through the ranks, Nash is put in charge of protecting Lionsgate's most important possession, the organization's ledger. After being drugged and robbed by the beautiful Lexi, Nash must stop at nothing to get the ledger back while protecting both their lives.
BOUND is a story of two people growing together to form a stronger bond then they had before while learning some hard truths about the world around them. This is an entertaining book that the reader will not want to put down.

Samatha Wilde (Keith) has skilfully created a combined mafia, enemies to lovers, and romantic thriller with her amazing writing, great pace, lots of suspense and scorching hot chemistry.
Alexis Ivanov is on a quest to take out the Lionsgate Kinship, the organisation responsible for starting a fire to wipe out her whole family. To succeed she needs to find a ledger which is kept by Nash Holmes.
Nash is one of the enforcers of the Lionsgate Kinship and one of the most dangerous men in the country. He has the ledger safely locked away, or so he thought.
Nash was adopted by Conrad, the head of the organisation, and he has always looked up to him as a fair and measured father figure.  After having been duped and roofied by Alexis, Nash is now struggling with what seems to be rather solid facts that Conrad's business has a well-kept darker, secret side.
This title will be available on 14 July 2021. I'm looking forward to the rest of this Blood Brothers series, with #2 and #3 scheduled to be published in September this year.

Although I hadn't read anything of Samantha Wilde, the blurb and the cover caught my eye.

But having read the story, I wouldn't only label it general fiction and romance. It should definitely come with the label suspense!

Lexi is a feisty woman, who is dead set on exposing the murderers of her family. And to find them, she will stop at nothing. Not even drugging the very hot guy in possession of the Ledger, which should contain the codes to tracking the murderers. Lexi certainly has balls of steel, and you have to admire her strength. Unless you are Nash, the guy who got tricked by her. Nash is determined to get back the Ledger, because he will not bring his brotherhood to shame. Although he do starts to question the reasons why Lexi is so determined to get her hands on the Ledger and why the brotherhood is so scared of her actions. The chemistry between Nash and Lexi is through the roof and their love-hate relationship is fantastic. The suspense almost had me put down the book, because I couldn't handle it. But in all a great read. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Lexi is an investigative reporter and is looking to take down the group that killed her family. She goes undercover to get a ledger from Nash, an enforcer for the Lionsgate Kinship. She drugs him and takes the ledger and runs. Nash has to tell the Grand Chancellor, also his adopted father, that the ledger was stolen. His job is to get the ledger back and kill Lexi. When Nash finally catches up to Lexi, he’s not able to kill her but when she shares what she’s figured out, Nash helps her. While running for their lives, Nash and Lexi can’t fight the attraction between them. When Lexi is taken, Nash rushes to her rescue but will he get to her in time?

Action and edge of your seat suspense. It took me a couple of days to read but because I kept stopping because I was afraid of what would happen next 😂. It is an excellent story and I would recommend it to anyone who’s a fan of romantic suspense with some sex.

Wow, this was a spectacular and electrifying romantic suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat for most of the read! I've read the Pretty Thieves books written by this author as Samantha Keith and thoroughly enjoyed them so I was excited when I read the blurb for Bound and recognized on the cover that she was writing as Samantha Wilde. I couldn't wait to dig into this story and I was not disappointed. This being the first book in the Blood Brothers Series, it introduces us to the Lionsgate Kinship organization and what that entails. There's quite a few secondary characters that were very well written and it's my hope that Ms. Wilde/Keith gives us books on them as well. This is mainly Nash and Lexi's story and what a story they tell. Lots of twists and turns and exciting suspense! I loved the slow burn between these two even though they had instant scorching chemistry. In my opinion, it was the perfect combination of suspense and romance and I can't wait for the next book in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
