If you like fast-paced romantic suspense, sensual love scenes, and scary villains, you'll love the latest book in Lucy Appadoo's page-turning series.
Lucy Appadoo is a prolific author who writes contemporary romance and romantic suspense novels about strong women who manage adversity with strength and heart.
After a childhood spent reading and imagining escapist worlds, Lucy has put her imagination into stories. Her work as a rehabilitation counsellor, and former work as a counsellor in private practice, have led to an interest in writing inspirational stories about authentic, driven women who struggle with a new love interest or stalker.
Lucy enjoys plotting the next love story, travelling for fun and inspiration, researching crime stories and news to inspire her work, watching romance and suspenseful movies, reading, meditating, and spending time with friends and family. She also appreciates her Italian background, which has inspired her to write imaginative stories about her parents’ childhoods that have led to The Italian Family Series novels.
There's potential here but it needs more editing. It was too slow moving to keep me interested. The author sets out the plot well but too much information about the characters dragged the story. I also found the father's casual sex with a 15 year old repulsive.

Basic Details: Book Title: Web Of Lies Subtitle: Author: Lucy Appadoo Genre: Thriller/Romantic Suspense Part of a series? Yes Order in series: 3 Best read after earlier books in series? No Available: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... Overall score: I scored this book 5/5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Short Summary of the book: A great suspenseful story. Meet Jamie, a single 28-year-old doctor as she treats a young run-away after a vicious attack. But, if she thought that was the end of it, she is very much mistaken. Jamie’s father is arrested for the murder of the girl and during the page-turner of a book, we discover many family secrets. Angelo, one of the detectives investigating the murders, fights his attraction to Jamie as much as she fights her attraction to him. Will Angelo succeed in solving the case and saving Jamie? What I liked about the book: It was action-packed and full of suspense. What I didn’t like about the book: I loved the book. My favourite bits in the book: I enjoyed the book in its entirety. My least favourite bits in the book: The fact the book ended. I would love to know what happens next. Any further books in the series? Any more planned by this author? This is the third book in the series and I’m interested to read more by this author. What books could this be compared to and why? This is always a difficult question to answer. It reminds me of some other books where a hero needs to save a girl. However, in this book the girl is as much of a hero as Angelo. Recommendation: In summary, I would recommend this book for the following readers:

Our heroine can't save them all, but if she can find the killer, she might save others in the future.
This is book three of the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required to enjoy this one.
This is a romantic suspense story. The story is well written with a deep and engrossing storyline supported by well developed characters. The story is so real that it is almost a turnoff (for those of us looking for escapism), but it was to intriguing to put down as I had to know what was coming next. The characters were also excellent and I really liked the chemistry between our leads and how they worked together. Overall, it was an excellent read that was sometimes disturbing, but at all times hard to put down.
Highly recommended.
I received an ARC from the author for review purposes
When I first started reading this book, I wasn't even through chapter 1. I thought, I wouldn't read very much more before I stopped. But it finally pulled me in. It was good. The plot just thicken with each chapter. Great characters too. My genre is sci-fi. But miss Appadoo has made me want to read more mysteries. Thank you.
Any time I get a chance to read from this author I take it! She writes some amazing books! These books will keep you turning the pages and on the edge of your seat! This book here is just another one of the great books she writes!
Wonderful suspense romance series. Lots of twists and turns will keep your attention. Interesting and complex characters make this a must read. I received an 'Advanced copy of my book and are voluntarily leaving a review.'
