Sue Vincent is a Yorkshire born writer currently living in the south of England, largely due to an unfortunate incident with a map, a pin and a blindfold. Raised in a spiritually eclectic family she has always had an unorthodox view on life, particularly the inner life, which is often reflected in her writing, poetry and paintings.

She maintains a popular blog, https://scvincent.com and is currently owned by Ani, the inimitable Small Dog, who also writes.

Sue lived in France for several years, sharing a Bohemian lifestyle and writing songs before returning to England where the youngest of her two sons was born. She began writing and teaching online several years ago, and was invited to collaborate with Dr G. Michael Vasey on their book, "The Mystical Hexagram: The Seven Inner Stars of Power".

Since then she has published a number of books, beginning with "Swords of Destiny", a magical tale set in the ancient landscape of Yorkshire. Her retelling of the Egyptian myths, "The Osiriad", came shortly afterwards along with her collaboration with Stuart France. Together they have written the Triad of Albion, the Doomsday trilogy and the first books in the Lands of Exiles series.

These books tell a true adventure in a fictional manner. They are at once a journey into the ancient and sacred landscape of Albion and the story of a growing and rather oddball friendship.

The Triad of Albion was followed by the Doomsday trilogy and France and Vincent are now working on the three books in the Lands of Exile series, where the adventures of Don and Wen stray down the paths of fiction.

They have also published a number of graphic works together exploring folklore and legend, as well as writing independently. https://franceandvincent.com/

Sue, along with Steve Tanham and Stuart France, is a Director of the Silent Eye School of Consciousness, an international modern Mystery School that seeks to allow its students to find the inherent magic in living and being. https://thesilenteye.co.uk

There is an introduction by Kaye Lynn Booth (Word Crafter Press,) followed by Sue Vincent's beautiful contributions which are even more meaningful and poignant given that this lovely author, blogger, talented soul, dear friend and loved one has since passed and is dearly missed. I particularly love all Sue's poetry in this collection. My favourites: Snow Drops, and Aflame.

This collection is a wonderful way to be introduced to the poetic talents of many wonderful authors many of whose work I have read before with great enjoyment. I include them here with my favourite poem in brackets, Colleen Chesebro, ( The Weather Witch,) Robbie Cheadle, (How I See, )Frank Prem, (Joe - Pretty Words,) Geoff Le Pard (The Coffee Machine, )and Annette Rochelle Aben (Yes - a tanka).

It was also a great way to discover more about Kevin, (Lonely Train, ) Tori (A Grain of Sand) and Jude (Darkness and Light) whose books I have not read before.

The poetry within shows versatility, a sense of the supportive community and the many differing styles of the poets.

Well done to all the contributors,  a lovely collection and one I can highly recommend. It is one to read more than once!

A sweet short read and a collaboration of a variety of poems written in various forms of poetry by some talented poets. I feel like this book was an introduction to the poets as well as a sampling of their creativity in poetry. I especially enjoyed the poetry of Colleen Chesebro and a delicious sampling of intrinsic poetry by the talented and missed, the late, Sue Vincent.

I don't like to review my own work, but am reviewing this book since I'm one of many authors who have contributed to it. And what a talented group of authors; I'm honoured to have my work featured in a collection with so many amazing poets. I'd read the work of some of them before, while others were new to me, but all were a delight to read. There's quite a mixture of styles and topics explored among the poems in this collection, but there wasn't a poem among them I didn't find a pleasure to read, and it's impossible for me to pick favourites. The only reason I don't give this book the full five stars is that I don't feel it would be fair for me to review my own poems, so don't feel I can justify giving the book a full five stars when I'm not reviewing three of the poems that make up the collection. However, had it not been for that, I would have given this book the full five stars.

Poetry treasures is a short anthology that took less than an hour to read. It offers an introduction to nine different poets with a modest (2-3 page) biography and a sampling of 3-5 poems from each contributor. Some of the poetry is exceptional, and there’s a variety of themes. Styles include syllabic forms (haiku and nonet, for example) as well as free-form pieces.

The poets included in the book are Sue Vincent, Geoff LePard, Frank Prem, Victoria Zigler, Colleen Chesebro, Kevin Morris, Annette Rochelle Aben, Jude Kirya Itakali, and Roberta Eaton Cheadle. Recommended to readers interested in learning about the above poets and sampling their work.

Poetic Vision – Sue Vincent
I have always loved Sue’s poetry and writing. I count myself blessed that I knew her online. We had numerous views in common and her words made think, cry and even have eureka moments. Goddess bless you Sue, you are so missed.
Geoff Le Pard
Wonderful humorous poems which tell of life the way we all live it. My favourite Art Appreciation.
Frank Prem
Described as a poet/storyteller or in my words a bard in the true sense of the word.
My favourite Reading Modern Poets
Victoria (Tori) Zigler
Her words are beautifully set in a rhythm which in my favourite The Robin in My Garden always cheers me up.
Colleen M. Chesebro
A very dear friend and my sister in fey. Colleen’s prose and poetry always stay with me. Filled with magic and the promise of mystery. My favourite in this collection is Weather Witch.
K Morris
I love these five poems, so witty and amusing but my favourite is Lonely Train. The words blossom into pictures.

Annette Rochelle Aben
Annette is my sister in fey and a lady who holds great wisdom which translates into her work. She gives inspiration and messages from angels, many of which turned bad days into good days for me. My favourite in this collection is Thank You
Jude Kirya Itakali
I had not read any of this gentleman’s work before, but I am so pleased to have the chance to read his contributions. I will be reading more. My favourite is Darkness and Light. A very talented poet.
Roberta Eaton Cheadle
I have known Roberta through our contributions to Dan Alatorre’s popular horror compilations and through her blog. It is always a pleasure to read her words. My favourite in this collection is Tears. Three lines which mean so much.
I have enjoyed this collection so much and recommend that you dive in and read these poems from these talented independent writers.
A fantastic collection.

Poetry Treasures reminded me that creativity and innovation can be inspiring, challenging me to think beyond the conventional and explore new possibilities of expression.
With its unique blend of language, rhythm, imagery, and emotion s provided by various poets, this volume has a timeless allure that captivates and I suggest you consider it at least during Poetry Month.
