A desperate deal. A catastrophic disaster. A father who will stop at nothing to return home.

Far from home, a father makes a secret deal with the devil to secure his family’s future.

Alone on their rural homestead, his wife and child continue to eke out a quiet living, quietly counting the days until he returns.

When the mother of all earthquakes rips North and South America apart, the family’s survival skills will be tested more than they ever realize as they fight to survive - and reunite - in the face of overwhelming odds.

What do people do once a mega earthquake hits. Scary for sure. I was gripped from the beginning, wondering what was going to happen, how will they survive. Ready for the next.

Another great book!

Justin Bell and Mike Kraus are a great team. I have read a number of their books and am always amazed by the story, the circumstances they create, and the ingenuity with which they write. I can't imagine a scarier scenario than this. After having been through a number of large quakes in California I can readily see how quickly things can deteriorate. Once the first domino falls the others are quick to follow. Lots of situations and resourcefulness in this book. Can't wait for the next one!

Aftershock: Unimaginable

This book as the three before it is an amazing read. The struggles the life keeps handing out. Earth quakes, cartels, so called friends and so many heart ache from loss of friends and family these are just a few of the situations that pauge the characters have two suffer through. Every minute of every day is riddled with the fear of never seeing your family again.

Interesting

As the story moves forward, Rico and Tara continue to make progress traveling from L.A. to San Diego where Tara’s father lives. The crazy DEA agent, Burnett has lost track of them. Mia is busy at home trying to hold things together.

There is a lots a tension, a little action and heart warming drama.

The further story of individuals who have experienced a large earthquake in LA. The character development is good. Good storyline. Experience the trials and tribulations of people caught up in the aftermath of the largest earthquake LA has ever had. Lawlessness, rioting, brining in the military to shut down the border are all played out in this book

What a riveting and compelling series. With the many different sides of the same tale, it keeps you on the edge of your seat, never knowing what twist or turn is going to come next. I can't wait for the next installation to become available. As always Justin knows how to tease the most out of each character, they become so endearing to you, you feel every joyous and sorrowful moment they live.

It a new ebook but still good

Yes this a grand adventure, but I had this feeling of dejavue all the way through.

In many cases it was way more than that. Specific scenes remembered!
Am I going crazy? I don't think so.

Book 4 keeps you involved from the beginning.

Surviving and trying to get home through the devastation and to stay away from the danger of earthquakes, other disasters as well as dangerous individuals who prey on others. Who wins in the end. Book 5 continues the story.

There was not a lot of action until the final 15% of the book but then it was major. It was a bit draggy with Mia constantly in conflict over her attitude about Gillian. The last part of the book sets up well for the next in the series.

Good apocalyptic survival tale with a Captain Ahab story line. I look forward to the next book but believe the author should be finishing up the saga. Keep up the good work.

Shattered - a review by Rosemary Kenny

Justin Bell and Mike Kraus' tremendous near-future 'what if...?' series, Aftershocks Book 4, continues the riveting survivalist drama in Shattered.
Reclusive survivalist Abe Wheeler and others are in a local bank when a mega-quake strikes, killing many and trapping others.
His LAPD officer daughter, Tara, is with Rico, who's heading back to save his family in Mexico, via Abe's woodland cabin, for new supplies. Abe's happy to see his daughter and accepts Rico's helped her, as well as himself. What does he tell them about the shocking events in San Diego?
What happens when raiders attack Abe's cabin?
Can anyone escape Ralph's treachery?
Who's Gillian and how does she deflect attention away from Mia and Max?
Have Rodrigo and his friends escaped?

You may have more questions than answers, until you get to the end of Shattered, Justin Bell and Mike Kraus' riveting, adrenaline-pumping, post-apocalyptic 4th novel in their earth-shattering series, Aftershocks...get it before it's too late!
