“The devil made me do it” is a phrase that will never pass my lips. Why would it when I have Delores, my undiagnosed autoimmune disorder, to make all my decisions for me? (Yes, I named her myself since the doctors couldn’t do it for me.) A get together with friends? Delores says no. I’ll have my prescheduled daily afternoon fever and fatigue at that time.
My two biggest regrets with having Delores direct my fate? One, my family thinks my illness is all in my head. And two, I set the love of my life, Peter Reynolds, free from my anchoring tether so he could fly. I never thought I’d see him again, but five years later he’s soaring in the limelight as one of the most talked-about defensive players in professional football. Oh, and did I mention he also happens to play for the team my boss just assigned me to as a social media manager?
Meanwhile, nothing much has changed for me. Delores still bosses me around, and I’m still hopelessly in love with Peter. What’s a girl to do?

I hope you guys have some fun with this story! Kind of a stressful time in my life when I wrote it but Peter is just the sweetest hero I think I’ve ever written. ❤️ 🏈
Insomnia, flared burning in my hands, joints tight, and a killer headache often cause restless nights during which I don't fall asleep until my eyes shut with exhaustion.
The best thing I can do not to go through the night floundering is read. So, often I will read some light book as a distraction, or catch up on reviews and wait until a "reasonable" or "normal person" time to post my reviews.
But, "Amanda" by Sarah Monzon?
I didn't want to wait to share my review. I've only gone through health things the past year and it has been crazy and hard. Well, "Amanda" was just the right amount of romance, comedy, and realness that I couldn't help nearly crying over the feeling of someone "getting it". Sure, I know others going through health things without answers as their bodies are attacked by unseen things that they are told are "in their head" but there are rarely books that show so much realness from an autoimmune disorder. Amanda and Peter are such a wonderful leading couple, I just loved them, I loved their relationship, their second chance at love, their friendship, everything! AND MOST OF ALL THE HUMOR. Plus, hey, John, he's such a sweetheart and I wanted to see more of him!
Monzon hit this one out of the park, ehhh, wrong sport, but you get the point. ;)
Anyway, even though my review is pretty much mush, I suggest that you read this book if you like rom-coms, have health issues, or if you know someone going through health issues that may not be seen all of the time.
Fantastic read! Super cute and fun! Amanda is awesome. And Peter is the sweetest, I just love him to pieces! Loved this book and can’t wait to read Betsy! Highly recommend!
I received a complimentary audiobook copy of this book. My review was not influenced in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.
I really liked the concept of this book. This is the first time I have read where one of the main characters was battling with an autoimmune disease. I would have liked to have learned more about it while reading. I wish the book was longer, gave the readers more to go off of. Also that the conversations were a tad bit more engaging, in depth. I thought at times there was some things left unsaid between the main characters.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
With each Sewing in SoCal book, I'm drawn into a world of sisterhood, romance, and the love of God that sees us through trials. Amanda has seen many heartache and as a person who's dealt with chronic health issues, I so could sympathize with her. When I wasn't nodding in sympathy, I was rooting for a happily ever after because Peter . . . Peter is the perfect hero and a huge reason I kept turning the pages. He was sweet, determined, and swoon worthy. Amanda is a great followup to the previous Sewing in SoCal books (which you don't need to read before this one but totally should. *I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. My review was not required and I loved this book so much I will be purchasing my own paperback copy as soon as it becomes available.
Y’all, I didn’t know I needed this second chance romance until I got it! Amanda & Peter were the cutest couple and it was rooting for them the whole time.
Sarah has this ability to make me loose myself in the stories she pens. I sit down and finish her books in one sitting, and normally grin like a buffoon the entire time. It happened again with this one!
I loved getting to be in the Sewing in SoCal group again! Though life is changing and taking them all different places they are still as close as family! Always there NO MATTER WHAT!
I loved that family is more than DNA was a theme used in this book! While it broke my heart that neither of the characters had very good/almost nonexistent relationships with their families, I loved that they found people who loved them for who they were. Every single piece of them!
Amanda was a strong character! Anyone who has gone through an autoimmune disorder is so incredibly strong!! (Diagnosed or undiagnosed) She put up walls because of people not believing her and her pain. It was easier to “fake it til she made it” with a mask on than be honest and get unfriendly remarks.
Until Peter…MAN I LOVED THIS DUDE!! *SWWOOONNN* He was such a great guy! I loved that he kept loving Amanda, even after all their years apart. He loved every piece of her and showed her that she was whole, even with Delores attacking her body. He showed her the power of your chosen family, what their reactions should really be. He had a pretty rough upbringing too, and he never lost sight of who he was or where he came from. He showed God’s love in every aspect of his life, and I just really enjoyed his character a lot. THE MP3 PLAYER SCENE…my heart might’ve exploded.
I loved that we got to see the SoCal girls again, and their romances are all blooming wonderfully! 🏈 I’m looking forward to Betsy’s story! I’m sure that one is going to be a trip!
It was just a sweet story that still had a lot of REAL LIFE woven throughout the pages! I really enjoyed this addition to the series. It might be my favorite! *insert all of the heart eyes* I rated it 4/5 stars *I received this book from the author**All opinions are my own*
“I’m fine!” Are these words familiar to you, even when you’re not? Does pain actually control you? Does it take all you’ve ever wanted and keep it from you? Do you let it steal your joy and happiness? Is it the biggest secret of your life? These are things Amanda is dealing with. She’s afraid that if she lets others know about her pain they will leave her. So she puts on a mask and goes about her life as if she’s fine. However, life doesn’t stay the way she wants it, and soon her life really gets crazy! The “Sewing Sisters” are back! This time it’s Amanda’s story and oh, what a touching story it is! I loved how we see the “real” Amanda and experience the healing power of love! The banter and tension between her and Peter were fun and enjoyable. They both had issues in their lives but with support from each other, they were able to dig deep and find healing. I loved how the author brought in the struggles of people who have pain, both physically and emotionally. She did it in a beautiful and loving way. These characters also found the strength to meet those battles through their friends and through God. There was drama, humor, and tender moments of romance. I think I love the whole group of “sewing” friends! Those ladies all have great personalities and quirkiness! I can’t wait to get to hear about Besty’s story in the next book. Sarah Monzon is a very skilled author. She has given us a wonderfully entertaining book to read. She brings such a fresh spin on writing. Each of her books holds lessons we can all learn. I truly enjoy reading anything this author writes. I highly recommend picking up this book, it’s fun and delightful! I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I'm one of the many people who battle with an invisible illness, so reading about a character in the same fight had me in tears from the very first page. I've loved every book in this series, but this one is my absolute favorite.
i have so many random thoughts about this book whirling around in my mind that I think I've created a new kind of brain fog -- bibliofog: in which a reader is so overwhelmed with all the fictional feels after reading a book, she is barely coherent. :-)
So excuse this disjointed list-like ramble, but that's where my head -- and heart -- are at right now.
That cover!!! Love the retro vibe, the colour blocking, the simplicity actually makes it stand out even more. All the books in this series are like that and they sure would make a literary statement on a bookshelf! Since I've been listening to the audible editions, I can't try that out...unless I buy my own paperback copies too....there's a thought.
I'm thrilled...well, maybe touched is the better word...to read about a heroine struggling with health issues. Specifically an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder. As someone who went through an excruciating journey with an undiagnosed disorder for years this read was both a bit triggering and cathartic. I love the idea that someone like me can be a heroine in her own story and that she gets the guy!
And, wowzers!! The guy!!!! Peter is high up on my favourite heroes ever pedestal -- might have bounced some of 'em right off the platform on his way up. No worries though, he always gives them a hand up. (You have to read the book to get the significance of that.) This hero is the definition of integrity and honour. And grit and determination. Anchored in his faith and steadfast in living it out in his life. And when he sets his sights on Amanda...
Whimper, my fainting couch has scorch marks and I don't even care! Squeallll...reunion romance alert! They both haven't stopped loving each other but there's all kinds of emotional junk in the way. The undercurrents sent my tummy into loop-de-loops. I was on the very romantical edge all the way to the end.
And sassy, smart-mouthed Amanda puts on a great front to the world, but the closer Peter gets, the more her facade cracks. Honestly, sometimes she went too far and I cringed a couple of times over what she said but Peter doesn't let her get away with anything. He calls her on it and forces her to reassess. Pries the vulnerability right out of her while she's kicking and screaming all the way.
Back to gushing over Peter. His caring nature. Tender acceptance. I wanted to smack Amanda upside the head for making him work so hard. lol But at the same time, I could understand why she is the way she is. Aaaggghhh, great character growth...for both heroine and reader.
There's plenty of SoCal sister bonding time. Amanda is the fourth book, and can be read as a standalone, but honestly, the series is so stinkin' amazing you'll want to read them all! I get so excited when the girls get together -- especially when they bring their heroes with them.
I could go on, but this review is already way too long. Just do yourself a favour and buy the book.
Y'all need to grab this book ASAP!! I loved it.. it was so good.. if I can have Peter (I practically wish I CAN!!) I'd snap him in a second 😁 This was more than romance.. it's about the difficulties we face in real life which sometimes ppl don't understand but no matter what .. we'll get through it with loved ones on our side and God's love. It's beautiful ❤️ It feels like blessedness to find such a fine romcom author.. the romance and comedy and life and truth .. everything was spot ON!! I'm currently having all the others books by this author download 😁.. making my budget cross.. who cares though!! It's Books 😉
You know sometimes we need books to escape the reality and just want to in indulge a good read.. Ahh!! Nothing better than that feeling and this author or this series have been ranked first into my list
Well , nothing like a Christian romcom to life up mood on a odd feeling day I highly highly recommend this whole series!! Trust me.. it'll be worth every penny and every minute you read
This series keeps getting better. It's so hard to decide which of the book I love better. The author literally stole my heart with this beautiful sweet romance. Sweet romance gets its definition from this book. The characters were amazing, the plot relaxing and so interesting. The book was too short for me. I did not want it to end.
I can't wait for Betsy's story.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
"I was a starved man who'd been invited back to the table, and I just couldn't get enough of her."
I love all the Sewing in SoCal books but Sarah Monzon has outdone herself this time with Amanda and Peter. What a heart-tugging, tearfully romantic story! Peter is an absolutely swoon-worthy hero - and he just may be my favorite from the series, which is saying a lot since I have loved Ben, Malachi, and Drew since meeting them and hold them dear in my heart. His sweet, loving, loyal heart is wonderful and I really enjoyed getting an in-depth look at the life of a pro football player. Amanda is poetic, introspective, and discouraged at the beginning of the book, which took me by surprise since she didn't come across this way in the previous books. Suffering from a yet-to-be-diagnosed medical condition is really difficult and the author captured the frustration perfectly. The hope, grace, and acceptance in love that her sewing sisters and Peter offer Amanda are real and heartfelt. And of course, there is plenty of comedy, snark, and laugh-out-loud scenes. I loved catching up with all the other ladies and their respective significant others. Now we only have Betsy left and I'm holding my breath for what kind of hero will show up in her life.
If you enjoy contemporary romance, you will love this book and the series. I received the book from the author and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are solely my own.
This is book 4 in the So-Cal series by Sarah Monzon - I have really enjoyed all four titles. Amanda does not appear very often in the earlier three titles. When we read Amanda's story, we find out why. Her undiagnosed autoimmune disease forces her to cancel plans. Due to disbelief by her family, she decides to keep her health problems a secret. But her former boyfriend, Peter, finds out the truth. Will his support help her to move forward despite her limitations?
I do know people who suffer from autoimmune diseases. I cannot imagine how much of that struggle that must be. The symptoms are invisible to everyone but the one who is suffering. Author Sarah Monzon does a wonderful job of relating the reality of this limitation. For me, I hope that it will help me to be more sympathetic and ask how I can support those who deal with unseen pain.
The romance side of this story is definitely a sweet one. I love how positively Peter is portrayed. I also appreciate the fact that he comes to recognize that sharing how he has overcome his past is different than profiting from his personal tragedies. The characters that surround Peter added a lot to the story.
As for the SoCal group, they definitely add some fun to the book. Especially Nicole. These ladies demonstrate how to be understanding friends. I look forward to the next book featuring these diverse women.
I read this book through Kindle Unlimited. Then I requested it through NetGalley, so that I could share my opinions with more people because I really liked this book. I want more people to know about this series. The review (including the 5 star rating!) is definitely my idea.
I have so much good to say about this book I don’t know where to start. I have multiple sclerosis; one of those “invisible” diseases. Sarah got all the emotions, the struggles, the ups and downs behind dealing with a chronic illness right; some of her thoughts and words could’ve come from my mouth. I am so thankful that my family and hubs support me as much as they can and the support group I’m in as well.
Peter is so faithful, loving, and patient. I admire he steadfastness. I am much more open than Amanda, but it’s come with time and intentional effort. I’m also glad that while it’s a HEA, there are still aspects that aren’t magically sorted at the end. This is like real life, ya’ll.
I can’t wait for Betsy to fall flat on her face in love!
I love a second chance story! Amanda and Peter are so good for each other ❤ I was so happy while reading their story. Good life lessons are learned in this book too. Loved seeing all the sewing girls be there for Amanda. *Borrowed from Kindle Unlimited **Going to purchase now.
Another wonderful addition to the series. This one touched me even more as I also suffer from a hidden illness. I do have a diagnosis for mine and only got that diagnosis through surgery but totally understand how people a lot of times don't believe in illnesses that they can't see. Looking forward to Betsy's story.
This was the best RomCom Real Tear jerking book I've read this year.
This has autoimmune disorder representation, which was a but shocking, I never really saw that represented in books. Amanda and Peter are such an amazing couple, I love them, I love their relationship, their friendship, their second chance at love and everything! And the humor!
I really liked the concept of this book. I wish it was more informative about it but that wasn't annoying in any way, I wanted the book to be longer and a tiny bit more engaging but I still enjoyed it so much!
4.5 stars This was such a sweet book and a fun addition to the series. I read it in one day and I would definitely recommend it! Amanda is the fourth book in Sarah Monzon’s Sewing in SoCal series about a group of friends who fall in love. They are all quirky and fun. Amanda has been keeping a secret from her friends. She has an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder, named Delores, that has made her life miserable. However, she is afraid to tell her friends, because her family believes that her autoimmune disorder is all in her head. But Peter Reynolds has a way of changing everything. When Amanda is assigned to Peter to help with his social media, she suddenly finds herself losing her battle to control her heart. She had let Peter go because of Delores years ago, but now that he is back in her life, Peter isn't going to be easy to shake. Can he show Amanda that he will love her no matter what and that letting her friends in will not be such a bad thing? Amanda was such an interesting character. She was a lot of fun, but she was also vulnerable. I felt so bad for her. She wanted her friends to like her and stick by her so badly that she pretended to be someone else. I also felt like she was so strong. She learned to overcome her disorder by leaning on her friends. And I loved seeing her open up to Peter and let him back into her life. Peter was such an awesome guy! I loved how he cared for Amanda and stood by her even when she tried to push him away. He was steady when she was weak and he helped her learn to be herself, the person she had been hiding. Peter had his fair share of hardships though, he didn’t grow up in a good home and was struggling to figure out the balance between his old life and the fame that football brought him. However, one thing he knew, he was going to stand by Amanda. Peter and Amanda’s relationship was super sweet, and I liked reading about them falling back in love. They had always liked each other, but now they had to figure out how to let each other back into their lives. Secrets have a way of keeping people apart so that they also have to figure out how to let the truth free, even on social media. It was fun to see old friends again and to read about their interactions. Amanda was such an interesting book, I really enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend it! It is a clean inspirational romance with characters that make you laugh and cry. These characters quickly become and feel like your friends.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.
“I’d never gotten it before, Mr. Darcy’s appeal. How was a man always scowling at you at all attractive? Now I knew. It wasn’t so much the frown—although Peter’s furrowed brow somehow caused a visceral reaction low in my gut—as the depth behind the intense look.”
Beautiful. Inspiring. Heartfelt.
Amanda and Peter’s love story came to a blinding halt when Amanda broke things off due to a secret. Years later they are being given a second chance, but can Amanda let him in enough for a fresh future? This intriguing story is really about letting go and letting God use our weaknesses to bring Him glory.
“This tearing down of one thing to be built into another? Was it really worth the pain to be able to experience the joy of flying?”
I truly felt Amanda’s hurt, fears and struggles with chronic pain. I appreciated a story that I related so well with and hope others are inspired by it, too. I felt her rejection, and the questioning when others turned away. Monzon shows how much hurt is caused by others’ rejection and when you’re afraid to be authentic because of how others might react. I loved seeing Amanda learning to value her worth and trading in her fear for joy with Peter. Another beautiful lesson was her learning to trust others and not going through struggles alone by trusting her group of friends, the SoCal sewing girls.
“a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”
Of course, Monzon throws in a lot of humor in the midst of this story. Updates on all the friends’ lives was really fun, too. If you love stories with real life issues, dashed with humor and guys you’ll just fall in love with, grab this series! She always weaves a thread of God’s acceptance, grace, and love that will capture your heart, too. I know it did with mine!
I was given a copy of this book through NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own and have been given honestly.
I've been a huge fan of Monzon's Sewing in SoCal books, and I was delighted to read Book 4. Amanda is the social media manager for the local sports teams, though so far she's avoided contact with star defensive lineman Peter Reynolds, who happens to be her former boyfriend. Amanda broke up with him when her autoimmune disorder started taking over more of her life. She didn't want to hold Peter back. But when her boss assigns her to specifically help social-media-challenged Peter, there's no choice but to face him again.
Peter is shocked to see Amanda, the woman who still owns his heart. He's shied away from social media, wanting to keep his past as a troubled foster kid from being fodder for sensationalist reporters. Amanda encourages him to use his platform as an NFL player to spread awareness about underprivileged youth. He asks her why she isn't using her platform to encourage those who suffer from similar invisible but life-altering diseases.
I found the idea of a heroine suffering from an autoimmune disorder to be intriguing. I am sure many readers will be able to relate to Amanda's struggles with Delores, which is how she refers to her illness. Peter's backstory was also interesting, and I loved his humility, gentleness, and openness. Overall, while this book didn't resonate with me quite as much as the first three in the series, you can bet I'll be in line to read the final book when it comes out. I have to see what is going to happen with Betsy!
Another fun book in the "Sewing in SoCal" series. Having read the first 3 books earlier this year, it was nice to catch up with Molly, Joceyln and Nicole again and learn more about Amanda. If you haven't read the other books, this story will stand alone, but you'll see relationships whose back-stories you don't have and maybe not fully grasp the dynamics of the sewing group girls. But this story can still be enjoyable on its own. I look forward to hopefully reading Betsy's story one day as well!
This book follows Amanda, who is a sports social media manager and is dealing with an unknown auto-immune disease that she is trying to keep quiet. Her old college flame, Peter, is an up-and-coming star on the Condors, the team that Amanda is tasked with getting out there and Peter (and his social media) have become her new project. While romance is not my favorite genre, I do always appreciate it when the characters have history and that makes it feel like the relationship doesn't move quite as fast, and I appreciated that about this one. While this book was a bit more serious than its predecessors, there were still plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I'd definitely recommend this one to fans of contemporary romance.
Special thanks to the author and NetGalley for an e-copy of this book. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.
On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Amanda by Sarah Monzon is a London Fog cake. Mysterious flavors entice you to eat more than you meant!
Amanda, a social media marketer for a well-known football team, is assigned to a star defensive player to get his social media presence up to par. She should be thrilled, but instead she's wary because it just so happens this player is the man that she considers the love of her life...who she broke up with five years ago. She did it to protect him. But maybe, she underestimated his ability to show up for her in the midst of her confusing undiagnosed autoimmune disorder.
[Copy received. Opinions my own.]
Book 4 in the Sewing in SoCal series by Sarah Monzon, Amanda is an interesting story simply because it deals with a character who's living with an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder. That, in and of itself, is intriguing. The romance between Amanda and her sweetheart, Peter, is cute, but it felt fairly shallow...and almost incomplete to me. I think I wanted a longer story that delved deeper into the disorder aspect as well as the deepening of their romance. But all in all, this was a delightful read.
If you enjoy a clean and light romance, Amanda is for you! It explores themes of undiagnosed disorders, estrangement from family, foster care, and social media!
Amanda A Sweet Romantic Comedy (Sewing in SoCal Book 4) by Sarah Monzon BooksGoSocial Christian | Romance Pub Date 22 Apr 2021
I am reviewing a copy of Amanda: A Sweet Romantic Comedy (Sewing in SoCal Book 4) through BooksGoSocial and Netgalley:
“The Devil made me do it” it’s a phrase that I will never let pass my lips. Why would it when I have Delores, my undiagnosed autoimmune disorder, to make all my decisions for me? (I named her myself since the doctors couldn’t do it for me.) If I have a get together with my friends and Delores says no, I don’t go. Instead I’ll have my prescheduled daily afternoon fever and fatigue at that time.
There are two biggest regrets I have with having Delores direct my fate? One, my family thinks my illness is all in my head. And two, I set the love of my life, Peter Reynolds, free from my anchoring tether so he could fly. I never thought I’d see him again, but five years later he’s soaring in the limelight as one of the most talked-about defensive players in professional football. And did I mention he also happens to play for the team my boss just assigned me to as a social media manager?
If you are looking for a fun, often comedic Christian Romance to read let me recommend Amanda :A Sweet Romantic Comedy (Sewing in SoCal Book 4).
I give Amanda:A Sweet Romantic Comedy (Sewing in SoCal Book 4) five out of five stars!
Delightful romance story that infuses much of modern life into the mix. Perfect beach read (I read it all in a day.)
Amanda is a young gal working in social media with a professional sports team. Her life is about to go on a roller coaster ride as she's been assigned to help get more eyes on Peter Reynolds. The problem is that Peter is her old flame that she dumped because of being ill (and not wanting to tell him.)
While Amanda is much younger than I am, I could relate to 2 things about the character.
1. She works in social media (something I do a lot of!) 2. She has an autoimmune disorder (named Delores as the doctors can't give it a name.)
I might have a diagnosed autoimmune disorder, but it isn't managed well enough yet to avoid the pitfalls Amanda experiences from Delores. As I was reading, I was thinking giving my own a different name might be fun.
For those who like their romance stories clean, this one does a pretty good job. No real language or sex scenes at all.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital advance reader copy. All opinions are my own.
Oh my goodness. Amanda and Peter's story has to be my favorite in this series. Amanda pushed Peter away because she didn't want her disorder, which doctors couldn't pinpoint the name of for her, to hold him back. When they're thrown together with Amanda essentially serving as his social media mentor, Peter is highly aware that he never stopped loving her. There was just profound beauty in reading a story where the main character has an invisible illness as this is not what you normally see in a main character. Usually you get petty character flaws but this is actual representation of a group of people actually out in the world living with the same feelings Amanda has. And Peter's steadfast love through it all. Yeah, it definitely brought tears to my eyes.
This was such a sweet story, and I loved it! Although there are a few books in this connected series before Amanda, I have not read them and I was still able to enjoy this one. Amanda suffers from an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder. Peter is her ex-boyfriend and love from college. When they meet again and have to work together, they find that there are still old feelings lingering. This was a sweet story of former loves finding one another again and overcoming past obstacles and internal struggles. If you are looking for a quick love story, this is a good one to go to!
Please note: There are a few references to the bible and God. I usually do not read Christian fiction so I was glad to find that it was minimal and well written into the story line.
I really enjoyed this book. It's got a lot of heart, a ton of laughs, and a great romance. And even though it's book four in the series, it can totally stand alone.
As someone living with an invisible illness, I could totally relate to Amanda. The stigma, the unbelief and judgment from family and friends. I've definitely experienced all of that. I really appreciated the authenticity author Sarah Monzon brought to the subject. Just the fact that she's shining a light on it makes me so happy. It's something that's so underrepresented in literature, so it was nice to read about someone fighting a similar fight as mine.
I already loved this group of ladies, but seeing them further support each other just makes me jealous that I don't have a friend group like this! Amanda was one of my favorite supporting characters from the other books. Her installment was moving and so sweet. Peter was an amazing hero and I fell in love with him too! As someone who knows multiple people who suffer from autoimmune diseases, this book gave some insight and a lot of empathy for those who struggle. I also thought the spotlight on foster kids/group homes was a nice addition to the story. Such a good story!
