He’s a rough, tough Outback shifter bodyguard, protecting his mate on his hardest assignment yet: her six-year-old niece's birthday party.
Delilah is the ugly duckling of her family, a struggling artist overshadowed by her stylish sister. After a chance encounter in an alley, though, she WISHES her biggest problem was her sister's perfect Instagram-ready fairy bread and constant attempts to set her up with Mr. Wrong.
Now Delilah has mysterious monsters after her, powers she can't control, and the hottest guy she's ever seen guarding her – ahem – body.
Euan has been struggling with loneliness and emptiness ever since losing his ability to shift. With his marsupial lion gone, he can't keep up with his all-shifter team, and worst of all, he won't be able to recognize his mate. She could walk right by him on a crowded street... or run into him in a dark alley and accidentally throw a giant scoop of gelati in his face.
Delilah needs a bodyguard. And Euan’s the only man she wants for the job, shifter abilities or not.
From there, it’s a deadly race against time to discover the reason behind Delilah’s mysterious powers, and unravel the secret of what’s lurking within the murky depths of Sydney Harbour…
Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!
While series should ideally be read in order, all of Zoe’s books are standalones and can be read in any order. This includes books within series.
Euan and Delilah were amazing, I really liked them. Rosie was my secret favourite! I love her and I would like to see more of her. Especially if we're to see more of Ruby - by the way, they're doing a shit job of keeping her existence secret. The story was a little over the top in the end (when it seemed a underwhelming in the beginning but I'm not complaining there - the scene at the party was awesome) but that seems to just happen when you put alicorns into play. I wonder if we'll be also seeing more of them and maybe even get a glimpse into their lives in hiding.
We've gotten to know shifter cop Euan a little bit in the previous two books, especially his tragic inability to shift into his other form -- a marsupial lion (an extinct Australian megafauna species). He's been worried, depressed, and otherwise feeling sorry for himself -- until he meets artist Delilah in an alley after an encounter with a very strange shifter, and finds himself pressed into service as her bodyguard.
I love Euan. His insecurity is so compelling, and makes him such a sympathetic character. Likewise, Delilah isn't really an "ugly duckling," just a normal woman, but next to her Martha Stewart-like YouTube star sister, she feels inferior. The way they bring out the best in each other is heartwarming, and their smoking hot relationship is wonderful.
Wonderful story that didn’t take forever to read (in other words just the perfect length for me) and it had a happily ever after ending! I’ve read just about all of of this author’s books. She is one of my favorites.
Delilah Park, an artist who hasn't sold any paintings in a while. She was helping her sister, Jenny organize her niece Emma's six-year-old birthday party. Being set up on a date by her sister wasn't want she wanted nor needed. She wanted a man who would take her on adventures.
She had no idea that her prayers were about to be answered just in an unconventional way. Something was passed on to her by a man she tried to help after she left her sister's house.
Euan Hawkins, a Marsupial Lion shifter shifter who couldn't shift into his animal form anymore. His animal was gone, he felt like a shell of his former self. Not only did he lose his animal, he also lost a dear friend, Sam on a mission that went terribly wrong.
One day he ran into a woman that nearly knocked him on his derriere. Turned out that she was searching for the Agency he worked for, they just didn't know how much their lives were about to change.
There was some evildoers who wanted to destroy the human world but Delilah held the key to stop them. She just didn't know how to unblock her memories but as she and Euan spent more time together. Things became clearer to both of them.
Loved how great she was with her niece Rosie when the latter made a decision that nearly devastated their family. Euan was her rock, he had her back and vice versa. I really enjoyed all the unexpected twists and turns they had to face in order to reach their HEA.
Catching up with old characters and meeting new ones was a treat. Looking forward to Trent getting his own story soon-ish ;).
EUAN is the third book in Zoe Chant's OUTBACK SHIFTERS series. It was fast-paced, adventurous and a wonderful read. Zoe Chant did a great job. I recommend you guys should give this series a try. Two thumbs up! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Euan and Delilah - another great edition to the series
This is book 3 in the Outback Shifter series. It has a bit of mystery and light danger and like the previous books in the series, there is an evil plan with shifters doing things for nefarious purposes. Euan is a shifter and he works for the Agency which polices shifters. Unfortunately, after an incident a year ago, Euan lost his shifter animal and can no longer feel it or access it. Delilah is an artist and works part time at an art gallery. The start of their HEA begins one evening when Delilah encounters a dying man who touches her and then disappears in a shower of glitter after telling her to warn the Agency. Delilah physically runs into Euan right after the man disappeared and he is assigned to protect Delilah while they try to determine what happened. The book is fairly low angst and has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, a bit of steam, a small amount of dangerous action, family drama, and painful pasts. There is growth by both of the main characters. Experiencing the journey of Euan and Delilah as they fall in love and work through their individual issues to get to their HEA gave me all the feels - you will definitely laugh, cry, swoon, and happy sigh. All of the shifters Zoe Chant creates are loyal, upstanding, loving, all around good people who generally want to make the world a better place and Euan is no different. I love this series and cannot wait to read the next book.
Another instance of being at the right place at the right moment, or was it wrong place, wrong moment? Delilah is going about her normal life when she comes across a man that needs helps, and because of that she gets involved in a very mysterious thing. Luckily she finds Euan almost at the same time, and he becomes her protector. Euan is going through a rough patch after losing his shifters abilities, and he is in a bad state, and is doubting himself, but even if he cannot feel his mate, he knows there is something special about Delilah, and will do his best to keep her safe, after a little pushing from his team. It's kind of cute to see how they both manage to get together despite having the certainty of the mating bond, at first.
The love story part is quite cute, and the mystery part is entertaining, with a lot to uncover and some nasty enemies that have powers beyond what they expect, making it hard for them to be face them. The story presents very interesting lessons about trusting others, accepting help, accepting yourself and getting beyond your limitations. As expected of one of Zoe Chant's books, there is a lot going on, and it really has a little of everything. This is a reading I really recommend.
I found this instalment better than Book 1, but not quite as good as Book 2.
Partly, I think it's because Delilah didn't quite gel for me as a heroine the way Ella did. I found her just a little too 'good and sweet' to be relatable (although I did love the fact that she was a happily introverted creative, and that she got to model that being a perfectly valid way to be to her 12 year-old niece)
And partly, possibly because .
Seriously, though, this felt like a fun - but very, very silly - instalment in the series. It's very much a grumpy-sunshine romance, and it's nice to see Euan - the 'grumpy' of the pair - growing as a character over the course of the book.
Apparently, there is a fourth one about Trent planned, but it's not out yet (I'll probably read it when it comes out though. I want to know how the series ends!)
A shifter who's lost touch with his animal. A human who stumbles into a world trouble and shifters.
Euan has lost his animal, buried him so deep he can not reach him. Out jogging to help he hears a woman screaming, turns to go see and collides with someone. Dililaha knows taking the alley could be dangerous, not to her this time as she tries to help a strange man, who after telling her to find the Agency tell them she doesn't understand the bright blinding light when he touches her, nor when his body disappears in a display of twinkling lights. Screaming she runs, right into someone, bright light flares from her fingers. While she's staring at them, Euan is staring at her. Thus begins the third book in this excellent series. Fast action, danger, love, and an ancient monster. Catches and holds your attention, from the first page to the last. All packed into a few days. Enjoy.
And this one really got to me. I like just about everything Zoe Chant writes, but this one is super fun to read. Delilah just wants her niece's birthday party to go well, but she meets a hurt man in an alley and now we had these powers! The story really moves from.there. You get to see the characters from the previous stories too. Euan has lost his lion and his pain dealing with this is palpable. Watching the whole thing come together was lots of fun.
The pace is breakneck and the tone is hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some action and some steam but not too much. The characters are vibrant and endearing. I would recommend that you read these in order. Enjoy!
Delilah is a woman who is an artist who tries to stay out of the limelight. She is on her way home from her sisters house when she hears someone moaning and goes to see if she can help. The guy who she sees grabs her by the wrist and tranfers his power to her as he lay dying. Euan is a shifter who has lost his ability to shift. Delilah runs into him and ends up being protected by him. She falls in love with him. He knew he was drawn to her but doesn't figure out she is his mate until he makes love to her. They work together with the rest of the team and Delilah ends up saving everyone. Euan and Delilah make a great team and their love is so strong. This is an exciting part of the Outback Shifters series. Definitely recommend this book.
This, like most 'Zoe' books, is fast becoming on of my favorite series. These Outback shifters are pretty addictive. Delilah stops to help when she hears someone in trouble. Little did she know the impact it would have on her life. Euan lost his lion during his last mission. He is trying to adjust to life without his other half. He stumbles upon Delilah and cannot do anything but help her. This will set them on a journey neither of them were prepared for. An amazing read with a HEA. Action, suspense and just enough romance. I can't wait for Trent. I'm sure there are going to be some surprises there. I received an advanced copy and this is my honest opinion.
Delilah is such a great character. An introvert who is pushed to social situations by her extroverted sister. She ends up with some kind of power, finds the love of her life and gets to talk to a prehistoric creature. This book is packed with an adventure and lots of fun times. I love this outback series. It's nice to hear about some specialties down under and getting to know these shifters more. Ruby is one of my most favorite shifters ever! She is to much fun in a small package. Read this series you will enjoy it so much !
It was a very strange situation 4 her but it's like she found her a very gruff knight in shining armor 2 protect her even though he didn't think he could compared 2 the others but deep down i inside and what the others said convinced him 2 at least try. Even though things went haywire in his past it will get much better in his future of he wants it bad enough and his job helped them they ended up saving a lot more than she realized. It was awesome what happened 2 him. I sooooo can't wait 4 more asap!!
Delilah left her sister’s place and decided to cut through an alleyway but she found a wounded man. He touched her and gave her his powers before died. Delilah was running out of the alleyway right into Euan and told him some of that man said to her. He took her to the agency and did everything they could with the help of the agency was able to save everyone from disaster. They were mates! Can’t wait until Trent’s story comes out!
Enjoyed it but took a while to get through it. This took me a fair while to read. Normally a book this short would be read as a coffee break read for me. I kept picking it up then putting it down when I couldn’t get into it. There is nothing wrong with the characters or story, it just didn’t grab me and drag me into the fun and madness. And it is madness with what happens but other parts of it, like Rosie and Ruby becoming friends, was sweet. Read through Kindle Unlimited.
Nice story, love the colloquialisms and speech. This story is about healing for the shifter, and about his co workers and discovery of his mate make that possible. Well, and including the rendering of the Sydney Opera House to torn girders by an ancient creature from the sea. Delightful as always.
I am so enjoying the Outback Shifters. I've been reading for over 50 years and have always enjoyed those set in Australia & New Zealand and their very unique language. Now with this series I am learning about new & extinct animals also along with more mythical shifters. Zoe always delivers well written adventure romances.
Euan is frustrated since losing his partner and cat, he just didn't know where to fit in. Delilah is just a normal human going about her business when she stumbles across a man in an alley. Enjoy their adventure with action and surprises abounding.
It was great to read a book with different kinds of shifters. I love this paranormal, shifter genre and having extinct animals as the actual shifter was wonderful. I had to Google the ones mentioned just to visualise them! Great work, I look forward to the fourth in the series.
Loved the story! I've read most of Ms. Chant work and all of this series. And look forward to Trent. When Euan thinks his life and work is over due a workplace tragedy, meeting and protecting Dela proves him wrong and reintroduced him to what he can do with the right motivation.
I absolutely adore this Outback Series! You are enchanted every time you read on of these books. The storyline is always awesome, attention grabbing & exciting! Ruby steals the show still but seriously who could compete against a baby Alicorn? I’m very excited for the next book in this series!
So much going on with so many different characters. There are new types of paranormal and just learning a bit about them is so cool. Will Euan be able to return to his normal and who will help him succeed. So cool to watch the drama and of course a wonderful ending.
Delilah and Euan Lost Ancient Tryst! 3.75***** Spoiler Alert!
Introvert artistic Delilah met Euan after Leon the Alicorn transferred his powers and knowledge to her in his dying moments. Barely escaping Lev, she collided with Euan, an injured sullen shifter from the Agency/ her fated mate to uncover Leon's cryptic message, and later saved Sydney Harbor from the gigantic slumbering, confused sea monster who was awoken by Lev and the other disgruntled Alicorns. Yes Delilah controlled the monster by returning it to the depths to sleep, while the ruling Alicorn body captured Lev and company for justice in their realm. Yes Delilah became an up and coming artist thanks to Davy and Jenny, her sister. ... They likely became HEA once Euan's lion returned and Aleeta took back Leon's powers from Delilah.
Great plot about a small group of powerful elite desiring world domination and for life to return to ancient times..sounds familiar?!? The past is past, enjoy the present. A good read for paranormal romantics.

I like the story is a real mess in it kind of entertaining what I didn’t like about the story there was no passion no somethings missing it is boring in parts and I didn’t appreciate that it took me too long to get to the end and I would recommend this book to my club members to tell them if they have nothing else to read then they can read this
3 1/2 star rating ( I round up ) I didn't like this story as much as the others. It just seemed to lag a little. There was a lot of filler(unrelated junk) beyond what the story needed. I manged to finish the book. It was easy to put down each time I was tired of reading, that says a lot. I usually have to finish a book when I start. This one just was okay.
Another great book by Zoe. With an unsuspecting heroine and a broken hero what more do you need. With her gaining some powers and him mourning the loss of his animal, they find ways to navigate all the action, adventure and family drama they find on their way to experience their HEA.
Love these series by Zoe. Great suspense, action, and a great fated mates couple each time. Love the comraderie between the shifters on the crew. Hope to see more of the alicorns and Ruby shifted with Rosie.
What a fun read! Lots of excitement, great characters, intriguing plot - what more do you need. Had a hard time putting it down kept wanting to read a few more pages and a few more pages! Another Zoe winner!
Shifters, Alicorns human mates and monsters from the deep a heady brew. The Aussie shifters tend to be very different think large extinct marsupials, a brilliant concept. A great plot and a happy ending what more could anyone want
