In her well-crafted debut novel, Blandford thoughtfully tackles the world of human trafficking with compassion and sensitivity. She layers each of her characters with individual traits and idiosyncrasies, creating a robust roster of engaging personalities.

Readers will find themselves easily rooting for Olivia, who will do anything to find her sister Claire.

This is a compelling exploration of the lengths we will go to for those we love. At times harrowing, the narrative trips easily along, despite the difficult subject matter. Although the circumstances are dire, the story is not overwhelmingly depressing, as the author deftly highlights the importance of friendship, loyalty and hope.

The Perilous Road to Her is instantly engaging. The character of Olivia draws you in with her dark backstory and dangerous life - and anyone with siblings can easily relate to her fear for her sister. The author did a wonderful job of creating a sympathetic character while still keeping the story moving at a fast pace. As I mentioned, the story definitely has its dark moments, but these are crafted well and realistically grounded. If you want an enjoyable read that still handles the issues of the real world, this is a great book for you.

👭🏻It is rightly said, "Family is the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter."

👭🏻This is the story of a girl named Olivia looking relentlessly for her missing sister, Claire. Olivia is a Detective in the Toronto Police Service and Claire,
her elder sister is a drug addict. Olivia tried real hard not once, but many times to help Claire get rid of addiction but failed miserably.

👭🏻Later, she found that Claire was missing and she had to find her sister anyhow but she fell prey to human trafficking. Greed and sex surround her as she is forced to work for the monsters who have built an empire on the desperate and unlucky. She faced hell lot problems and did everything to save herself from the trap and locate her sister.

Riffle through this book to unfold your answers to:

❓Did she save herself from the scandal, she caught in? ❓Did she find her sister or she lost her sister forever?

👭🏻You know when you read a book, you're either happy or sad by the turning pages, but I am completely satisfied with this one. The author's writing is so impressive and the narration flows absolutely perfect.

👭🏻The book cover and the title is fascinating, grabbing readers' attention and goes hand in hand. The storyline is quite interesting and author's vivid imagination is highly impeccable. The character development and personification is done pretty well and presented things super well. I was glued to the book throughout.

👭🏻The love for her sister Claire, Olivia had can not be expressed in words. She was ready to tackle every challenge, every obstacle for her. She even risked her life to save her. The readers will get a beautiful message reading this book and thus, I recommend this to everyone out there.

N.L. Blandford's debut novel takes us on a suspenseful ride as Toronto detective Olivia enters the world of human trafficking to find her missing sister, Claire.
Through skillful retrospective, the stage is immediately set and I quickly became familiar with the sisters' bond, family history and how they came to be victims of kidnapping and forced prostitution.
Character development is strong as the author toys with the multiple facets of human personality, ethics and motive.
The story moves along with a sense of intrigue and suspense through the entire book and I found myself thinking about the characters throughout the day, looking forward to when I would be able to continue reading.
Although a cautionary tale on a harrowing topic, it was not only educational but also an entertaining read.
Can't wait for the sequel!

If you’re looking for an entertaining story filled with action, heartbreak, and gritty reality, The Perilous Road to Her, N. L. Blandford's debut novel, is the book for you. I was drawn into the story from the very first page and couldn’t put this book down. Olivia, the main character, is a strong heroine with an admirable strength of spirit. In her quest to find her missing sister, she faces both mental and physical adversity. Based on a timely topic, the novel comes with a warning as there is graphic violence, and the plot involves sexual trafficking. I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next one from this talented author

Scary, gripping - couldn't put it down. Seeing a bit of the reality of human trafficking in North America is a harsh pill to swallow. This story leads the reader on a journey of fear, strength and resilience as Olivia searches for her sister in a world meant to position women as slaves. Truly harrowing tale.

Olivia's journey to find her sister is both real and raw. This fast-paced book reveals the seedy underworld of women being trafficked for the pleasure of wealthy men. If you're looking for a primer on human trafficking in North America, look no further. Definitely worth a read.
