Luca Cross invests in land and sells when the price is hot. His days are filled with one city after another while trying to live his best life in between. Going to his sister’s wedding was supposed to be one of those fun times – a well-earned break between business deals. What actually happened changed everything.
Selma Starnes was killing herself for a job she hated until she finally said enough. After seeing her brother Bastian give it all up for the woman he loved, she knew her life needed to change. Their wedding was supposed to be the perfect day…but fate had other plans.
Warning: Did they eat the wedding cake and fall madly in love? That’s the only logical explanation! Grab Book 3 in the Pink Springs Series and find out just how hard this playboy falls!
Alexa Riley is two sassy friends who got together and wrote some dirty books. They are both married moms of two who love football, donuts, and obsessed book heroes.
They specialize in insta-love, over-the-top, sweet, and cheesy love stories that don’t take all year to read. If you want something SAFE, short, and always with a happily ever after, then Alexa Riley is for you!

I really love this author...but her latest books haven't been great. To be honest...I couldn't even bring myself to finish this book. I just despise the tropes where the hero has been with many women and the heroine is a pathetic naive virgin. Over-played. I'll say it again...put them on an equal playing ground! For once...maybe even see a naive virgin hero and an experienced heroine...though not TOO experienced. Just tired of the same old same old.
I liked it but i didn't love it because like last time, the author chose to '' tell us'' than show us, and i HATE IT because we have zero connection between them, all the important stuff? and them getting to know each others ? OFF PAGE. We go from them starting being intimate to 1 month later in a blink without anything in between. Argh. I don't know what happened to this author :( she used to write the perfect novella's. *sigh* i didn't even need some big chapters about the missing stuffs. I liked the last one more because it was a slow burn and connection for months BEFORE the OFF PAGE stuffs. But in this one? they just meet each others. Again i felt left out.
Yes, yes, yes, this is Luca’s book, Cooper and Luxe’s brother, the charmer that’s always out of town. And Selma, Bastian’s sister. I adored their first interaction by the cake, very cute. Luca knows he wants her when he sees her, she’s hesitant, but gives in for the night. They have an incredibly sexy night together, but Luca wants more than a night.
Safe read, with an epilogue and a hea. I loved this series.
This is my first review so please bear with me, I used to really enjoy Alexa Riley’s fast paced insta-love novellas but I feel as though with her latest books she’s(they’ve) been getting kind of sloppy. The storylines (sometimes) have potential but are a delivered in such an underwhelming manner that finishing the tale ends up seeming like a chore.
The book is filled with unnecessary information and it’s just so, for lack of better word, basic. The hero is one dimensional, cocky, uninteresting and knows nothing about the heroine nor does he care enough to learn, the heroine is a bland doormat with no personality traits other than being a virgin and they have no spark. The writing is so unbelievably simple that it’s like reading a child’s book report on a romance novel, plus I feel like the protagonists have no dialogue, it’s essentially just narration of them walking about looking at each other and what they’re thinking (which isn’t very interesting to be honest).
I finished the novella nonetheless, but it took me quite a bit simply because it bored me, and that didn’t seem to happen to me with Alexa Riley before. I truly hope her new books are more like her older works but I’m not very optimistic seeing as the inmates obsession was also a huge let down.
°Virgin heroine °The hero is a one-night stand kind of guy °Switching POVs °Insta love/lust °Free of OW/OM drama °Possessive obsessed alpha hero °No cheating °No separation °No intimate scenes with OP °Epilogue: several years later
Not for me. There was just none of the romantic connective tissue that should've been there between Luca and Selma. It was just a cheap connection.
Luca was written as too uncaring and unfeeling. The only thing that mattered to him was his fun playboy lifestyle while traveling and his pleasure. He wasn't a malicious manwhore but a man who just went wherever the wind would blow him and that was in multiple women's beds while he lived a nomadic lifestyle. He didn't take anything seriously and just did whatever suited him in a hedonistic lifestyle that fit him. Very hard to take him seriously about anything let alone how quickly he fell for Selma.
Selma was so driven and serious about her company, her brother, and their growing family which now included Lux. She was such a nice heroine but too nice and just let Luca barge into her life despite how he left her in an empty hotel room after taking her virginity. She didn't even give him any hell for that despite her crying about it so hard. She doesn't let people in easily and doesn't seem to trust easily but somehow she just lets Luca take over her life. Her characterization changed too much in such a short time. She went from strong businesswoman to "I hope he picks me" settling for the first manwhore who showed her attention. 😐
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Virgin h Playboy/Manwhore H Friend's brother- Small Town romance Accidental pregnancy No cheating/sharing No OM Not really OW but she does see Luca flirting with a blonde all night while she was rubbing on him at the wedding before he invites her up to his room after cake and dancing. It was very icky and made him seem really sleazy. HEA 🌟0.5/5 Self explanatory
It’s cute story wit minimal drama that was mostly in the heroine’s head as a result of the hero having a job that required in to travel a lot. He made a big boo boo shortly after they met. So I don’t really blame her for some of it.
Honestly, it’s steamy, but not as steamy as Alexa Riley usually is. I’m glad I read it because I read the other two. It’s a interesting family.
Honestly though, I don’t recommend it. If it were a Kindle Unlimited book that’d be one thing, but I definitely don’t think it’s worth $2.99.
I just saw a mutual’s review on this a few days ago warning about a horrible manwhore and thought “How bad could it be? It’s Alexa Riley they don’t write disrespectful heroes?” Yeah, I WAS FUCKING WRONG 🤦🏻♀️ Why do I do this to myself?
⛔️Selma definitely settled for the first guy to ever pay her attention and Luca just chose her out of a LONGGGG line of MANY women.
Luca: -is flirting and feeling up a blonde OW at the wedding (while Selma is watching) and then decides to pursue Selma instead because WHY? We never find out what caught the manwhore’s attention but he’s EASILY led astray -compares Selma to OWs he has fucked in the past WHILE IN THE ACT of taking her virginity -is thinking about nameless OW while having sex with her 🤮 and how he’s never gone without a condom but he doesn’t care right now -ditches Selma in a hotel room right after taking her virginity -decides they are going to be together despite her protests -is constantly leaving her high and dry while he travels all over living his best life -knocks her up outside of being in an exclusive relationship
The storyline sucks too. Too much development off page. Lazy writing intended only to steal your money for shitty delivery.
Virgin x Manwhore Small Town Romance OW jealousy Separation- short Accidental pregnancy HEA
0/5🌟 Obviously. I should’ve just listened to the MULTIPLE BAD reviews 🙃
Libro: Small Town Girl (Pink Springs, #1) Autora: @authoralexariley 4/5 🖤🖤🖤🖤 . . #romance #romántica #steamy #reseña #review #books #smut #smutromance #recomendaciones #novelas #entrebooktagramers #alexariley #authors #Pinksprings #SelmaYLuca #love #amor
First things first; I love the cover of this book! Big city crush is the third book in the ‘’pink springs’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Luca meets his sister’s new sister in law, he wants her. Selma is attracted to Luca but will she let love blossom? The chemistry between Luca and Selma is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
I was very disappointed in this one. I didn't feel like these two had any connection at all. I don't mind sex in books, but it felt like that's all this was. Where was them getting to know each other? They didn't even hang out. No date, no nothing. They hardly had any page time together. Like literally. She was on her own most of the book and he was off on his own. I'm also wondering why Lux being pregnant was such a surprise. She said she was at the end of her book and also again it was stated in Juno's book. Like I said, I was very disappointed in this one.

Luca is the fun, laidback brother of the Cross clan. Selma is the former workaholic of the Starnes business partnership. Luca meets Salma moments before his baby sister Lux marries her big brother Bastian. Talk about a complicated relationship. Luca takes one look at Selma and decides she’s his future. Misunderstandings and sparks ignite the passion for these two but eventually they figure out hot to make it work. Great close out to the series!
Selma and Luca stealthy as can be, k-I-s-s-I-n-g. First comes lust, then a baby carriage, then comes marriage. Or so goes the third tale in Alexa Riley’s new series, wherein love and lust are pretty straightforward, but relationships may take a little convincing to make things go smoothly. And the alpha males do a VERY good job of convincing.
