The plot thickens. What's next?
Although this book is fiction, the premise isn't. That is why books like The Farm scare me. People have a choice of where they live and how they live their lives. It is not the government/politicians right to force people to give up their individualism and what America is based on "capitalism".
A subplot of The Farm is greedy politicians and Socialism based more on Animal Farm where all men are created equal, just some more equal than others....the difference? One is what could happen. In Boyd Craven's series, I see the situations can and most likely take place....but he lightens up the situation with a bit of romance, a fun quasi-mouthy kid and DOGS. Now.... Combine everything together and you get a entertaining book that you read and can imagine 'what would I do differently? Can I do that? What's going to happen next?
Write faster.... this series needs to finish quickly so readers will know how to prepare .
