My first sewing book! This was full of really helpful descriptions and instructions about sewing techniques. The contents and glossary made the information really accessible, and the illustrations were good. The only way this book would be better is if the images were photographs, as the illustrations could be a bit confusing. I am comfortable searching techniques I learnt in this book online, so the illustrations aren't a problem. I got this book from the library, and can imagine I'll buy one in the future.
This book has become my sewing bible, if my machine is plugged in it’s within a foot of me so I can thumb through the pages when I need help or a guiding hand!
I'd probably rate my sewing skills as being a confident beginner. This book is brilliant. Easy to follow techniques and tips. I'm looking forward to trying a few more dress making patterns.
