4 "Clare" Stars!

photo The Wedding of Molly OFlaherty - Sierra Simone_zps8zu9axvh.png

First of all, let me tell you: this will be a review not only of this novel (The Wedding of Molly O'Flaherty) but also the whole London Lovers series which also has an introductory short story (The Seduction of Molly O'Flaherty) and the first part of the actual story (The Persuasion of Molly O'Flaherty).

I was in the mood to read a historical romance and I actually was waiting for this story to come out so this was perfect. After reading Simone's Markham Hall series and reading about Molly and Silas, I was pretty excited to read their story! Obviously, The London Lovers series tells their journey as they fall in love.

Molly O'Flaherty is a fiery woman who lives with a painful secret. She also has a business (which happens to be in a difficult situation) and now she is 'forced' to marry. Silas Cecil-Coke is one of her hot wealthy friends and she happens to be in love with him. Silas is also afraid of his feelings for her but he wants to help and decides to ask Molly to marry him. This is when all starts.

“You want to marry me?” she asked disbelievingly. “Why?”
Because I love you.
Because I can’t stop thinking about you.
Because I’ve found heaven, and it’s you and your perfect mouth and your perfect pussy.

Obviously, something happens (especially, in my opinion because of Silas) that makes them suffer both. Sometimes it was a bit too much because what happened is not a thing that I enjoy.. You will see if you read it. And of course, these two are extremely sexual people. We could see that with Julian and Ivy in the other series, and we see it again with Silas and Molly. They are so hot, so kinky, even sometimes (for me) too much. Again Sierra Simone tends to use words like 'slut' or 'whore' and I do not like that. Still, it was very erotic and I really enjoyed the sex/hot scenes ;)

God, this woman.
This woman.
She was making me forget that I wasn’t supposed to be in love with her. She was making me forget that charming, happy, playful Silas would never grab a woman by the throat, never finger her without her express consent and yet here I was, doing it anyway.
“See, my love?” I said, my fingers still curled around that gorgeous throat, my other hand rubbing her into a squirming and wet state of ecstasy. “See how I won’t play fair? See how I’ll touch you and tease you? See how I’ll fuck you into giving me what I want?”

I think I enjoyed the short story the most because it was so beautiful and just the two characters loving each other. I like the cheesy sentimental part of it. The end, I really liked it, so sad for Silas' family but still so beautiful and hot, of course!

“I love you,” I said against her lips. “I love your mind and your cunt and that smile that hardly anyone ever gets to see.” She moved her lips to mine, but I pulled back ever so slightly. “I want to hear you say it again. Say that you choose me. Say it.”
“I choose you.” It was a breath, just whispered syllables against my mouth, but those syllables meant everything.

Therefore, my final rating for the series is 4.5 STARS. The three books were always between 4 and 5 so that is what I think a good rating. If you enjoyed before Simone's writing and also if you like historical erotic romances, you should give this one a try! :)

Molly will have to marry Hugh. It is an arranged marriage and one that she cannot escape from. No matter what she promised to Silas in the end of the last book, she already knew that this was their last night together.

Molly does not love Hugh. Molly does not want to get married. Molly does not want children. Molly does not want to stay faithful to Hugh when they get married.
Molly wants to keep her company. Molly wants to sleep with Silas wherever she feels like it.

Silas loves Molly. Silas has realized that she is the only woman for him and he wants to marry her and have children with her and get rid of Hugh. If Molly wants to keep her company, she can keep it. Silas is doing his best to help her.
But still Molly does not want to marry him.

Fate will mess about their decisions. Before the book finishes both lovers need to grow up and stop being so selfish.

My God! The sex scenes in this one….
Dirty talking, erotic fantasies and role playing. Silas and Molly is an explosive couple.

I absolutely love this series. I do not read much historical erotica, but these books certainly have changed my mind. I need to explore more this genre.

The Wedding concludes The London Lovers Duet series with delicate poignancy all wrapped up in the most sensual erotic scenes and exquisite prose, provoking a satisfying depth to the story and feelings of pure emotion. Towards the end I read with tears streaming down my face, but in many ways my tears were the most satisfying element of my read. This story made me feel so much for the protagonists whom demonstrate great development as the story unravels during this second part. It's about hope, acceptance, sacrifice, longing and love. The London Lovers is about a hero who rescues the heroine and then she goes and rescues him right back.

I felt the impending doom for Molly, her uncertainty and then the realization as her character develops through the prose. Her behavior, at times, boarders on the selfish but totally reflects a human authentic quality in her. Silas dominates convincingly whilst showing understanding of Molly's circumstance and needs demonstrating so beautifully his caring, genuine nature. Depicting him as the true gentlemanly good man he's professed to be from the beginning, making him the perfect hero for Molly.

The atmospheric turn the story takes develops into a touch of perfection for the climax of this two book series. The soul wrenching sadness evoked my tears and sealed a 5 star love for a story that's also delightfully sensuous and downright naughty. Its sexy and pleasurable coupled with loving care matching others needs and fulfilling desires. This erotic historical is delicious, decadent and emotional. Their proclivities have the power to arouse reader's sensibilities and pull on their heartstrings making this a #mustread story for all erotic romance readers.

Note: The story is told from the alternating perspective of the hero and heroine in the first person narrative. ★★The Wedding of Molly O’Flaherty is a 40,000 word novella and is the second of the London Lovers duet and intended for mature audiences only★★

The Wedding of Molly O’Flaherty begins right where book two ended; the fight for her shipping company continues, Silas is determined to help Molly and win her love and Mr. Cunningham needs to be stopped. Molly is an independent and intelligent woman who always acts to ensure her father’s company remains profitable and in good moral standing. Her devotion is admirable but Molly must discover whether she is willing to sacrifice her happiness and heart in exchange for a loveless marriage that may render her powerless in the company she covets.

description

Silas, the ever-charming gentleman, is simply irresistible. His love for Molly is unwavering and he do everything possible offer his assistance and secure Molly as his wife. Knowing Molly can be stubborn and will resist any outward help, he acts in the only way he knows. To say Silas is a sexy and dominant man is an understatement because the connection between he and Molly is combustible. They’ve always been very open about their sexual proclivities but Silas shows his true side with Molly and her response is exactly what they need.
"This was what Silas did to me now. He melted me, molded me, and it made me happier and more content than I’d ever been."

As all the forces come into play, Molly is forced to decide what she really wants in life rather than do what is expected. In confronting a difficult situation, Molly finds strength in taking a stand with the help of her closest friends by her side. This is a turning point for Molly and it is symbolic of how she is able to truly trust Silas in every way. Once she recognizes that Silas loves her for who she is, the answer becomes very obvious.
"With my hand cupped around her throat, I felt her speak her next words more than I heard them. “What did you say, Mary Margaret?” I murmured. “You,” she repeated, louder this time. I loosened my grip so that she could turn in my arms and face me. “I choose you.”

description

For me, the story of Molly and Silas is that of acceptance and unconditional love. With Molly being so stubborn at times, she was afraid to accept what was always right in front of her, but once she realizes what Silas offers, there is no turning back. Their journey is filled with passion, friendship, love and mutual admiration.

In true Sierra Simone fashion, the story telling is eloquent and combustible at times. The characters are memorable and the alternating point of view chapters add depth to the emotions and motivations of Silas and Molly. For those who want a substantive but hot read, I recommend this series.

The Wedding picks up right where The Persuasion ends. While Silas is very persuasive, Molly and her convictions to her company are stronger. She can't follow her heart, her love, her Silas.

This book is deep, emotional, sexy, and it is about a connection that Molly and Silas have that is strong and never wavering. Molly's strength and desires to keep the company her father left her is fierce. She has always been in control and now having to marry one that she doesn't love, one that will take control of her company is making her question......follow her old dreams of keeping her company or follow her new dreams of being with Silas forever.

 photo f47ee2265cd834d5f361d37b15174464_zpsu3vfnpd8.jpg

I loved everything about this book. I loved how Molly's strength was also enveloped in her vulnerability. Vulnerability that only Silas saw and who knew how to love and keep safe. Silas and his commitment to have Molly were remarkable. He was always there to remind, catch, and take Molly - he knew her so well and he was not going to let her go that easy. Their sexual connection was off the charts........

The author takes a sensitive subject matter in the story and makes it one of strength. One that Molly has never discussed but a matter that she will not let happen to another. Of course she gets help from those that love her unconditionally- Silas, Julian and The Baron. They would never let her down or have her confront an issue without having her back.......Unconditional Love for Molly.

I will say in closing - this series was magical and sexy and perfect. It was a historical that felt proper and naughty. Sierra Simone weaves her words to fit the period and I loved reading every minute of this series.

This review is for both books because I'm a little lazy ;) The London Lovers is a spin-off series of Markham Hall series. I was really excited to finally read about Silas and Molly. I totally fell in love with Silas in the original series. Compared to Julian, who was a big jerk, Silas was this charming and polite gentleman. Too bad he didn't stay like that. I just wanted to punch him a few times, now. But I still liked him better than Julian, after all, he managed to keep a few drops of his charm.

Despite my little rant here, I actually enjoyed the story. I liked how Molly was not entirely without a spine, that she knew how to stand up for herself. She and Silas were really a great couple. Especially the ending was very beautiful and sweet. And, of course, the sex was hot and dirty. That's what this series is basically about. The storyline is solid too but it fades compared to amazing sex ;)

The way that Silas and Molly seemed so put together in Ivy and Julian's books but were utter disasters in their own lmao

The plot: (Prologue begins) Boy and Girl have been friends for a decade (they run in the same kinky circle). Boy and Girl declare their love for one another and decide to make a go of a monogamous relationship. Boy freaks out and BANGS GIRL'S FRIEND. Girl walks in on boy banging her friend. Girl punches boy in the face. Boy flees to France for 8 months (Prologue ends).

Girl now has to marry in order to save her and her late father's company because the board says so. Boy returns to France after hearing about Girl's troubles. Minutes after setting foot in London, BOY BANGS GIRL'S FRIEND AGAIN. Boy then has the audacity to propose marriage to save Girl's company, he also wants a baby. Girl slaps him and walks away (good for her). Boy is sad and needs comfort sex. While getting a BJ from Girl's friend, he finally realizes that he's in love with Girl. Naturally, Girl walks in while Boy is receiving his epiphany BJ. Boy tries to apologize and declare his love for her, but Girl is like "nah" and walks away. Girl gets engaged to board-approved fiancé. Cue more apologies, groveling, sexy times and exposing of powerful predatory men. Friends, you're probably thinking that I just spoiled the entire book but NOPE. The epiphany BJ happens within the first 14% percent of the book 🙃

Did I enjoy this book? Yesn't. It was fine. I just wanted more from Silas and Molly's romance. Silas was such a dumbass. The audacity of wanting Molly all to himself when he's banged her (former) friend multiple times. I actually think that Molly let him off too easy. Additionally, I think the book should've been longer. It's jarring to see Silas go from "I'm definitely NOT in love with Molly" to "JK I LOVE HER AND I DON'T WANT HER TO BE WITH ANYONE ELSE." And like I said before, it doesn't help that he realizes this mid BJ that he's receiving from another woman. Instead of 2 novella sized books, I think that Silas and Molly should've just been one large (400+ page) book. There was so much to unpack with Molly's past as well as her grappling with her and Silas' dynamic in the bedroom when she's used to people seeing her as this unstoppable force, and there was very little room to explore these things with everything else going on in the books.

There's also a heartbreaking subplot with Silas' brother and sister-in-law 🥹 It's devastating and there's a sex scene that happens right after it, and I was like "CAN WE NOT? MY TEARS HAVEN'T EVEN DRIED YET" This is what I mean about the books being too short 😭 there needed to be more space to let things BREATHE.

But I’m once again asking for a novella/spin off series about The Baron

@ Seasoned Romance Readers: We all knew what was coming when Molly forgot to drink her contraceptive tea........

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Even when I wanted to throttle the MCs (mostly Silas) you could still buy their connection. They're both skittish about relationships for different reasons but the love is there, they just suck at communicating. But before some of my friends/followers add this to their TBR, here are some things you should know:

1. The scene(s) where Silas are with the ow are NOT fade-to-black (unfortunately)
2. There are group sexy times in this series. In the previous book, Molly finds a very sexy loophole to her horrible fiance's fidelity clause. There are four enthusiastic participants in this scene. In the Markham Series (Ivy and Julian's books) Silas has a threesome with the MCs. They talk about the threesome in the previous book. Julian is also Molly's former lover and in the past, Molly's had threesomes with Julian and Silas. So if you require your MCs to only touch each other-which is totally fine, i'm not judging ❤️-this is not the series for you. Every character in this series has seen each other naked 😭

For the first time ever. I'm speechless. I mean, I have thoughts...but I'm trying to find a way to form them, to where I don't come off looking like a hornball. Ok. I'm just going to let loose for a moment..
OMG THE SEX IN THIS BOOK HOLY MOTHER OF ALL SEXY FUCKING HOTNESS!!!!!!! I mean, there's stroking and choking and spanking and OIL!!! And Violet!! Omg that scene!!! And dirty talkin!! And tight trousers, and petticoats, and stockings. Oh my! And to go along with all this greatness, there's the taboo of all the beautiful timeless fucking!! Cause yes. That's what they do in the 1800's. And they do it hard. And fast. Ok. There. I said it. You see what you do to me, Miss Simone. You turn me naughty!!! And I'm going to have one hell of a time cleaning this review up for Amazon!!! This might be my dirtiest review I've ever written. Please forgive me!

Moving along, to the story, Sierra never fails to deliver in that area also. Always filled with the best kind of angst, mystery and suspense, she will have you on the edge of your seat, flipping pages faster than you can say SPANK ME!!! There's also a seriousness to this story. But Sierra writes it tenderly and with care and thought.

So we have Molly O'Flaherty about to wed one despicable man named Hugh. An arranged marriage so to say. But we have Silas. Sweet, sexy, dirty, naughty, caring Silas. I simply love him. He will do everything in his power to try to stop this scam of a marriage. He's in love with Molly. And he goes above and beyond to prove it. But will it be enough? And will their timing be off once again? Just when things are looking up....BAM!! Life throws the most devastating curve ball. Everything changes in a blink of an eye. Will these two be able to come back to each other?? As always, you're just going to have to trust me when I say...READ THIS SERIES YOU WILL NOT BE LET DOWN!!!

Sierra, I love your writing. You never fail to captivate me with your beautiful, timeless, flawless words. You cast a spell on me and instantly transport me to another century. And you never EVER fail me in the kink department. I wish I could crawl into your mind for just one day!! You amaze me!!

If you have not picked this series up yet, then you need to stop what you're doing and go BUY IT!!!! And while you're at it...just go crazy and 1-click every single book that Sierra Simone has written. You will not be disappointed.

Great conclusion to the series. Sierra Simone can write excellent historical romance with just the right amount of spice.
Molly is trying to save her company by marrying someone else. Silas is hell bent on helping her get out of that forced marriage but can he really save her before it's too late?
Passion, lust, lies and intrigue weave a tangled web. As the story unfolds, love will be revealed but will it conquer all???
Do not miss this. Great writing and a strong heroine.

This picks right up after The Persuasion with a heart-broken Silas because Molly decided for her company and not him. Still he keeps doing everything to get her to marry him.
After her almost fifteen years long nemesis has been taken care of, with the help of her three best friends, and the news Silas gives her, Molly starts to believe she could have the future she wants.
The conclusion (with very emotional and sad events) of Silas & Molly's future will bring a smile on your face, albeit with a lot of hot, steamy sex!

Once again, Sierra Simone proves why she’s a must read author of Erotic Historical Romance. Her unique brand of emotionally engrossing romance with red-hot, kinky sex always has me coming back for more. The London Lovers series has easily earned it’s place on my favorites list.

 photo twomofinal_zpstcjnca3s.jpg

This conclusion to the series picks up right where The Persuasion of Molly O'Flaherty left off. Silas is devastated when Molly chooses to continue her fight for her company, O’Flaherty Shipping Lines, but he won’t let that stop him from doing whatever it takes to help Molly and, hopefully, win her hand.

The first half of this book had me on the edge of my seat hoping that Molly could find a way out of her situation and get revenge on the man that had been her nemesis for years. When the major plot conflict was resolved early on in the book, I admit I was a little worried. I shouldn’t have been, as the rest of this book was equal parts devastating and beautiful. And it had a twist I never saw coming. In the end, I couldn’t stop my tears.

If you’re looking for a hot historical that will hit you right in the feels, you don’t want to miss out on this series. So, grab a fan and some tissues and dive into The London Lovers series. You won’t be sorry.

She's so stubborn and strong and he's so adoring and protective and even when I wanted to strangle one of them I still liked them both. The book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling like the other book in this series. this was a really good book it was hot and steamy and I really liked how the series ended.

I have a lot riding on the outcome of this book.

A child. A cat. A kidney. All promised to Sierra if I get my needs satisfied by Silas and Molly.

For those of you unfamiliar with the story, my long lost, red haired vixen of a cousin Molly has to marry in order to save her family shipping company. The board of directors have deemed it essential for her to become all respectable like a good lady or they sell their shares and the company is ruined.

Engaged to foppish Hugh, our heroine is resigned to her fate although she is the embodiment of a good time girl. Sexy Silas, I really fancy the breeches off him.

You know in scary movies where you get the music that builds and builds to a frenzy - think Psycho - do the noise now in your head.......the engagement party. Sweating! Kids. Cat. Kidney! Gulp!

Aren't curtains lovely? They really are. You can shut them and shelter from the sun. You can shut them and hide away from the dark. You can shut them and hide behind them and do whatever naughtiness your heart or other body parts desire.

I sit here before you, children, cat and kidney at the ready, with a wedding invitation clutched in my hand.

"Sierra Simone requests the pleasure of your company at the marriage of her beloved Mary Margaret O'Flaherty to..... There will be a splendid supper followed by dancing and frivolity."

I need a plus one. Any takers?

Fantastic set of short stories that equal one book. Though, you really must read the whole series, actually, the series, Markham Hall series before too.

Just a reminder, these books are a series of short novellas, I mean for some of these books, they are super short. If that annoys you, and it often annoys me, you are forewarned.

i really loved the ending this had, like the epilogue made me swoon. it had some unexpected plot lines, but they worked well with the story and really solidified molly and silas as characters and their relationship. i’m really glad i decided to pick these books up- they were such fun, quick reads!

The Wedding of Molly O'Flaherty was a phenomenal conclusion to this duet that I could not get enough of. This last book captured everything that made me fall in love with these characters in the first place, and heightened that to a whole new level. What Sierra Simone gave me with Molly and Silas was everything in this story. It was passionate, heated, and full of so much pull and emotion that I felt every word of. From the very first page of their story I was completely consumed with everything they were sharing, and was hoping with everything in me that these two would figure out a way to work it all out and be together.

The opening of this book finds Molly realizing many things about the predicament she is in. It also finds Silas desperate to do what he can to be with her, and to show her that he would give her the world, if only she would give him the chance. Throughout this story the two of them are put to the test to see just how far they would go for one another, and through every page Sierra Simone allows you to get it all with them. She lets you see their hearts, she lets you feel what they feel, and she lets you fight with them through it all as they try to end up in the exact place they both want to be.

I think what I loved most about this book was how much it pushed these characters, and how much it allowed them to grow and evolve. Sure they were still who they were at their core, but this book's events forced them to look deep inside themselves and see who they really were, what they really wanted, and what they were going to do to go about getting that. Both Molly and Silas were put through the wringer a bit in this book, and my heart went to them again and again through it all. I felt and loved and lived every word of their story, their fight, their struggle, and their mesmerizing journey in a way that was so real and enjoyable. I truly can't say that enough.

I have LOVED every word of these historical serials by Sierra Simone. They are so consuming, so real, and so easy to just sink right into. These characters were so real, so easy to love and feel for, and just so dynamic. The world of these books felt so magical, and it had some serious heat and spark through every page that I loved every bit of. These stories and characters and words pushed my heart, my feels, and just about everything else in the best possible way.

I truly can't recommend this series enough. The writing was exceptional, the heat and pull was out of this world, and everything I got with these characters made me love them even more!!

I LOVED the Markham Hall series, which this follows and honestly everything about this book is amazing. We get to see a development of two characters from the previous series. Molly was always made out to be a very strong woman who ran her father's company, something that was unheard of at this time, and now we learn of everything in her past that made her that way. I appreciated the trigger warning in the beginning of the book, something that was missing in her American Prince series. Parts of what she went through are very relatable, and the patience and devotion to her safety Silas shows her after she shares it with him just makes me love his character even more.

Seeing Silas' devotion to Molly and making sure he helps her save her business, protects her from her creepy boss, helps to protect a young girl from the same fate as Molly- he is PERFECT.

The ending had me in tears, which I did not expect from this author, but it shows how well developed the story was that we got so attached to Silas' family, which was the ultimate embodiement of happiness for him. He goes from this man who can be very dominant and rough with Molly, to this man who, without a second thought, travels to visit his dying brother and automatically takes guardianship of his nieces and nephews. A man that can do both? We love to see it!

Oh, unf. I have loved every word of The London Lovers. Silas and Molly were such a fantastic match and they flew off the page with Sierra Simone's talented and passionate mind.
Molly overcame so much and Silas' devotion is swoon worthy. Fortunately, he likes to take your breath away in other, more exciting, ways.
Silas is a package and a half. He keeps Molly (and us) on edge with his dirty talk and his tenderness. It's an enigma and I love hearing all the sexy details coming out of his mouth.
This conclusion provides resolution for Molly. Her character was so very strong and determined and justice was served through the help of her devoted friends and Silas. She is a champion and you can't help but wonder how many "Mollys" were broken because of the situation they were born into.
If you read the first London Lovers, you will read this one. You have to have loved both. Sierra Simone never disappoints and I can't wait for the next journey.

Silas with kids = BOOK HUSBAND MATERIAL 👀

Now, this book. Silas tried to grovel and get behind his dubious actions from the first book.Molly too, I adored her for the decision of doing something for herself but also freaking out because she is the epitome of woman in a man's world

I loved seeing Julian and Ivy so much, even in the first book and Silas teasing Ivy! The imagination of group scenes between these four definitely should have become a real scene in the book. There was some surprise when it comes to Silas's family and it hurt to read! And the letters he wrote her.

Spice was once more quite amazing. Silas was bordering on some primal/breeding kink and I was here for it. And again, the praise, the dirty talk! 🍑

I enjoyed this one a little more, we have a happy ending and that's all that matters!

I now desperately need Castor's story, Sierra!

TW: pedophilia, sexual assault (In the past), attempted rape of a child

I really loved this last installment and it cleared up any doubts that I had! A solid conclusion, I am officially a fan of Sierra Simone.

trigger/content warning: graphic sexual assault

The Wedding of Molly O'Flaherty picks up immediately after the first book, with Molly and Silas separated after their night together. Molly navigates her impending marriage and strives to help another young woman who's pursued by her assaulter. Silas attempts to save Molly by buying more shares in her company and deals with tragedy.

I feel exactly the same about this as I did with its prequel, it's entertaining, but nothing special. The romance is adorable, imbued with so many tropes and attributes that I appreciate. For example, I really enjoy when characters want to be together, but there's something in the way separating them. It's something other people despise, but I enjoy the angst it provides. In this case, it was interesting to see a couple separated by societal standards and Molly's need to be engaged to another man. It was still jarring to see sex explored in such a free, open manner in a historical novel, but if studying history has told me anything, it's that people in the past were obsessed with sex.

The characters were their same, flawed selves. Molly continues to defy the barriers of her time, trying to run a business and not allow assault to be pushed behind closed doors. I admired how persistent she was in exposing her past assaulter and ensuring he couldn't hurt another woman in the same way. In addition, I loved how she realised her own freedom and autonomy was more important than owning her company anymore. Even if she hadn't been with Silas, she finally accepted that she was more important than a business. Again, it's strange to see a woman from this time take charge of her own narrative, and I really admired it.

I don't want to repeat what I stated in my review of the first book, but Silas was the soft male character type I love, but some of his actions made me uncomfortable. I loved how he finally got the large family he wanted - as he so cockily reminded us of in the end - but I was also irritated with how dismissive he was of Molly towards the end. Of course, she doesn't want to enter another engagement 5 seconds after ending her first one. Why would you be so offended? Some of his inner monologue about Molly continued to make me uncomfortable, but I also acknowledge that this is the type of male character he's been intentionally written as.

Sierra Simone is my favourite romance author because she includes feminism and diversity in a genre that typically rejects them completely. This isn't as diverse as her older books and is definitely on the more subtle side, but I appreciated seeing characters who were interested in sex with the same gender in a historical fiction novel. I know, it's not really something I should be excited about since it's so insignificant, but how often does it happen? If you're after context: both Silas and Molly express that they enjoy sex with individuals of the same gender as them.

Furthermore, I appreciated the discussion about sexual assault and how Simone allowed her characters to take successful action against it. Through her characters, she comments on how men refuse to believe women, and how assaulters can manipulate women by threatening their position in society. Again, it's something I feel continues to happen in current society, and I liked that she was emphasising how disgusting it is instead of brushing it under the rug.

The Wedding of Molly O'Flaherty is a quick and easy read that doesn't contain much substance. For someone like me that hasn't been able to read anything in a while, it was perfect for my current mood.
