Minerva Coolidge, ex-biker-princess turned supermodel, doesn’t expect poetry from her six-foot-six, ex-Special Forces, ex-biker boyfriend. But it’s high time he declared his love for her.
She has everything else: friends, family and a meteoric rise as the face (and bottom) of Delilah’s Intrigue, a luxe lingerie line. She was even invited to walk the catwalk at a prestigious charity gala. But her man, Big Mike, won’t say those three lousy words no matter how much she hints. And putting him in a headlock would be trashy.
Minnie decides the charity gala, hosted in a sumptuous penthouse, with the city at their feet, will be the perfect place for Big Mike to finally declare his heart. But her plans are upended by one disaster after another, culminating in the murder of her catwalk rival.
Minnie’s the reason Big Mike, a global security expert, settled in the city and now guards people more at risk from cholesterol than terrorists. Then his woman narrowly escapes death on his watch. Was she the intended target? He’s determined to eliminate the threat to her. She’s equally determined to help. Even if Minnie wasn’t the intended target, Big Mike has to find the killer before Minnie’s snooping makes her a target.
And this crazy-brave, shoe-obsessed, reckless, enchantingly pretty disaster magnet of a woman wants him to tell her he loves her? He’ll show her.
A high-octane romantic comedy with a silent alpha-protector hero, a street-smart heroine, chilling danger and her obnoxious cat. Download it today for a wild ride.
Susan Amanda Kelly is the Amazon bestselling author of the romantic thriller series Lethal in Love. She's a sucker for an alpha hero with a heart. And the kind of heroine who tells him to go to hell but only after she's done kissing him... And dogs. And cats. Another captivating story in the life of Minnie the supermodel and her world. She is smart, funny and nobody's fool. People misjudge her as she is an underwear model but they don't get she was raised in a motorcycle gang and got smart at an early age. Love this series and all the characters. Minnie is over the top supermodel who loves attention and her beau Big Mike is so adverse to being recognized it makes him cringe. He just found out there is a web presence on social media calling him the Beast and his picture is everywhere. He is horrified and though he loves Minnie feels like he needs to go work overseas where he can be anonymous. They work together to solve the mystery and continue their relationship. Highly recommend this series. I am jumping on to book a five as I am captivated and totally entertained. Perfect if you like quirky, funny romance with a dark side.
Minnie and Mike are fun characters. Minnie was always creating chaos and Mike was always rescuing her. I enjoyed the wild ride to uncover who murdered Grace Ang Olga. Mike's over-the-top protection of Minnie was sweet. Their love story was crazy and unconventional. Would recommend this book to a friend.
I love these two together. Big Mike is everything that is alpha and (over) protective. Minnie is as flighty as a whole flock of sparrows, but Big Mike is just so down-to-earth he can’t help but ground her more outrageous flights of fancy. I adore her deviously brilliant mind, however her center-of-the-universe thinking regularly made me want to wring her perfect little neck in this book. There were still tons of shiny red herrings to be distracted by, but this time I wasn’t quite as surprised by the villain, though it did take me until the end to discover the definitive proof. And now that we have some of those details about what Rocco’s been up to, I’m very curious to know what’s going to happen next.
I just couldn’t get over Minnie’s utter selfishness. It got to be way too much, especially the way she talked down to Big Mike. I finished it, but only because I was so far along before it really got to me. Look, idc how beautiful a person is, if she isn’t willing to listen to her partner and talks down to him (whether it affects him or not) it’s not ok with me. Also, setting him up like that for a photo op? Talk about underhanded and devious…yea, no, Big Mike would have been better off without her.
I love this series because it is just fun! The characters are stereotypes that don’t want to be stereotypes, the dialogue is hilarious, and the sidekicks include under 20s and over 40s. It makes for an enjoyable escape on a trip or long weekend. I found myself laughing out loud several times in each installment.
I have read all the books in the series and enjoyed them all, waiting for book 5 with anticipation. I love Reading about sassy, assertive, strong well written female characters that can save themselves and the people they are with. I like that Mary and Crash is feature in this book thoughout the story. Love to read a book written with Minnie,Big Mike,Mary and Crash as the MC solving crime.
Fun opposites attract couple. She’s a supermodel, he’s a security expert. When her self promotion gets him fans it hampered his jobs. During a charity show a model was murdered. Mike and Minnie hunted for the killer to save his credibility and avenge her friend.
This series just got better with this, the fourth, book. Hard to believe, but true. Minnie and Big Mike show us the perils of fashion life with many twists. Hunting a killer and helping friends is all in a day's work. I can't wait for the next book.
Hard to wait on the next book in a series when there so good. I only do very few series anymore because of the wait but I with these books. The women in these books are so funny. Keep them coming.
Another fun book in this series! This is Big Mike and Minnie’s second story. Such fun. This time a sniper shoots one of Minnie’s fellow models. Great fun reading all they go through to figure it all out. Humor, mystery, romance - fun fun book!
Big Mike is solid, strong, takes charge and best at what he does. Minnie is beautiful and reckless and headstrong but he couldn’t do without her. She makes his world, what women wouldn’t want that? This book was sooo good I couldn’t stop reading.
This book was hilarious ,cute ,mildly suspenseful. I figured out the killer but it was fun getting there. This book gave me that relaxing feeling I need from a book.
