One last twin swap. What could go wrong?
Twenty-six-year-old Dani’s identical twin sister calls her out of the blue with a colossal problem. Sophie needs to jet off to Mexico to save her friend from a botched tummy tuck but her boss won’t let her take any PTO. Dani, eager to repair their strained relationship, leaves her glamorous LA life behind as a top social media influencer to save the day. Dani’s dang good at pretending to be her sister, but good enough to teach high school kids in rural Oklahoma?
When Sophie gets stuck in Mexico for an entire month, Dani not only has to teach Economics and Life Skills, but she has to direct the school musical. And that boss Sophie hates so much? Yeah, it turns out Principal Beck is entirely too good looking and single for Dani to ignore. Rushed high school musicals, fiery school board politics, and cozying up to Sophie's boss, definitely weren't on her sister's pre-approved syllabus, but Dani never was one for sticking to the plan. From USA Today Bestseller of YA Fantasy Nina Walker and YA Contemporary Romance Bestseller M.F. Lorson, comes a brand new Romantic Comedy pen name––Grace Costello. This dynamic duo combine laugh out loud comedy with emotional feel-good romance that will keep you flying through the pages.

I really enjoyed this book! Sophie and Dani are twins and when Sophie calls up to do a twin swap Dani agrees to help her out. Though it has been awhile since they have seen each other and Dani is finding she isn't as synched up with her sister as she used to be.

Dani is a IG influencer and Sophie is a teacher and that is not an even swap as they both try to do each other's jobs lol.

There was a bit of enemies to lovers which I love those types of romances. Dani is volunteered to direct to school play and they are setting her up to fail but they might have set her up for something that she's actually good at.

This has a lot of oh no's as their covers get blown but social media may save the day!

I recommend this light hearted twin swap!

These are always fun but I guess there's real life consequences when you are an adult with a job, whatever I don't want to grow up.

Thank you @bookofmatchesmedia and @gracecostello for the e-ARC on this book tour!

All you have to say is romcom and I am basically running to read whatever has the label. When BOMM dropped the exciting news that this novel was up for review. I could not resist. I will make room and lose sleep for a good romcom and man oh man I was not disappointed.

Sophie and Dani are twins and have finagled many twin swaps together while growing up. When Sophie needs Dani to cover her teaching job for one last twin swap, Dani comes to her rescue putting her influencer job on the side. What could go wrong with one last twin swap? Well, you’ll have to read to find out the hilarity that ensues.

I loved the chemistry between Dani and Beck and was impressed with the clean atmosphere of this duo throughout the novel. The back and forth charged tension along with the grin-evoking scenarios had me flipping pages to find out the ending. I personally love when romcoms have the enemies to lovers background that is sliced through with well thought out banter and realistic and swoony chemistry. These two had it for me but I do wish that it would’ve moved a bit slower with them. The buildup is always the most exciting in an enemies to lovers romcom for me.

The sisterly dynamic was a frustrating and yet heartfelt addition that I enjoyed. I preferred Dani from the start with her spirited and positive nature. She had relatable flaws and her hopes to reconnect with Sophie was utterly endearing to me. I wanted more from Sophie overall. She frustrated me with her anger that I felt was misplaced and it colored my perception of her even at the end. Don’t let that worry you. Each of the persona dynamics fit the story so well and added to my overall enjoyment.

I would recommend this to all of my humor loving romcom readers. This is the perfect lighthearted, fun and swoony read for your cozy nights or sunny days. Thank you to Book of Matches Media for the gifted e-ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.

This was the most beautiful romcom I’ve read in a long while and I want more like this! More by this author duo!!! I hope they’ll come up with lots more ideas and turn them into wonderful stories, because this really touched me and made me incredibly emotional!! I basically fought my tears through the last 20-30%, but my makeup was perfect and I was so close to destroying it completely. 🙈

Now, let me start off this #bookreview by saying that I immediately clicked with Dani. Not only is she my age, but I loved that she was an actual Influencer, did unboxings and basically lived online. That was so cool, because I’ve never read a book with that theme! So, everyone who grew up with Social Media can definitely relate.
But she also has a passion - arts and theatre - and she loved what she does in that scene. Her feelings, her passion, her love for this art could be felt in every chapter, every page and every single line and that filled my heart with so much warmth. Basically reading this book felt like being in this happy and safe bubble and I didn’t want to come out of it and face reality again. I wanted to stay in this story! So much so that I even completely forgot about any reading updates. Whoops

The relationship between Dani and Sophie was a difficult one and even though sometimes I was mad at one of them for acting like they did I never had a single moment of doubt for anything that was mentioned in the book. They both made mistakes and while that did cause some trouble between the two, they ultimately stood up for their own mistakes and didn’t want to blame it on the other, which was very mature. I was sure that at some point Dani would blame Sophie for the lost partnership because of the unboxing video, but that never happened and I loved Dani even more for not blaming her sister.
One more very specific moment for which I loved Dani? That absolute power move with the “raise your hands” scene towards the end. I lost it all, I was cheering her on so hard.😂

And then that romance! Gosh it was perfect! Not only was it enemies to lovers and a slow burn, but you could just feel that these two characters clicked with each other. It just fit perfectly and that just showed how well written all these characters were! Of course there was quite a bit of drama, angst and the romance-typical big gestures involved and yes it was a little cheesy in the end, but these things BELONG in the romcom genre and I absolutely loved every single minute. And the epilogue? *insert big heart eyes*
Honestly, this story is made for a big screen. I could totally see this as a movie. It was just great!!! 💖💖💖

Misguided twintentions lead to an amusing mess

Dani is an insecure, self-absorbed young woman hiding from her own failures under the cover of being a successful & confident social influencer.

Sophie asks Dani for help so she can bail out her best friend in Mexico. Dani takes over her sister's position and proceeds to make a pretty complete mess of things.

The story is about as believable as most twin swaps, but it does well enough that it doesn't insult your intelligence. And Dani is a bit of a disaster, but she's a charismatic one. She's amusing, & you can't help but sympathize with her, even while you're shaking your head at her decisions and the inevitable trainwreck you know is coming.

I think my biggest frustration with the story was that, while Dani deserved responsibility for her bad choices, Sophie didn't own enough of her responsibility for her own lousy decisions that contributed to what happened. And Beck shouldn't have been using his position to spite Sophie. I would have liked them to own their mistakes apologetically, too.

However, despite a rather cheesy denouement & overly pat ending, it was still a good - and entertaining - story. I also really enjoyed how Dani reconciles her past with her present to create a more meaningful future. It was great for an evening of happy escapism!

*Romance level: passionate kisses, nothing explicit or graphic; secular attitudes about sex outside of marriage; fade-to-black sex scenes

*Language: light; about 2 dozen of the common swears

*Religion: secular; 2 casual uses of the Lord's Name (ie in vain), but not as curses at least, fwiw

Sophie and Dani are twins and what’s the use of having someone who looks exactly like you if you can’t pretend to be them and vice versa in time of need? When Sophie calls Dani asking her to take her place as a teacher in a high school for a week Dani agrees without knowing how much trouble it would be to pretend to be her sister when they haven’t been in touch for close to three years now. When one week turns into a month, will Dani be able to hold her own against evil high schoolers or will everything end up in a bigger mess than either of them could have imagined?

I loved the fast pace of this one! I love how it immediately jumped to the topic while also giving us only the necessary introduction. Being an impatient person by nature I like books that are fast and where things keep moving. I enjoyed each and every carefully constructed scene, how we saw Dani handle her teaching duties as well as her relationship with Sophie’s colleagues and also her treatment with the students.

Another thing worth appreciating is the romance between Dani and Foster. They had such perfect chemistry. It was a case of enemies to lovers but more like misunderstood and holding a grudge to discovering the person you know is a completely different one while in this case the person was different from the one he knew haha. I loved the way Foster paid attention to every little detail about Dani and the way she reacted to him.

Overall this was a perfect read for me. The kind of book that I am always in mood for and the one that lifts my spirits. Would definitely recommend if you like rom coms.

Thank you Book Matches of Media and the publisher/author for providing me with a free digital copy of this book for exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

This was such a fun romance story! Twinfluence follows twin sisters Dani and Sophie as they do their final twinswap. Dani, an influencer living in LA, agrees to take over Sophie's life for a week - including working as an economics teacher in Oklahoma - while Sophie travels to Mexico to help her friend. Dani must attempt to teach Sophie's classes and gets thrown into directing a production of Oklahoma by Principal Beck. While Dani develops a bit of a crush on Beck, she knows Sophie would despise this as they're basically archenemies.

This was so cute and I really enjoyed it! I initally thought this would be a dual POV book between both sisters on their twinswap but I really enjoyed following Dani so much! Dani was such a fun and relatable character to see navigate her change from big city Influencer to small town teacher. It was so fun to see her trying to navigate the school setting, coordinate a musical, and try to stay away from Beck (even though that proved a little difficult).

I loved the writing in this book! I loved how it flowed and it was super easy and fun to read. I was hooked on the story and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next to Dani. I really enjoyed the later scenes between Dani and Beck. There was some really great chemistry between the two and their scenes were pretty romantic and cute. The plot was slightly predictable, which is why it is 4 stars, but I don't think that really took away from the story. But I mean, it was an enemies to lovers so I really can't complain too much about it being predictable since I love that trope so much. As much as it was romantic, it was also filled with some great humour but also real life emotions. So basically, the perfect romcom!

Overall, LOVED this! Can't wait to see what else these two authors put together!

Thank you to Books of Matches Media for the e-ARC!

Twinfluence follows Dani Sparks; 26, instagram influencer, and twin sister to Sophie Sparks. When Sophie urgently needs to go to Mexico, she requests her sister's help to take her place at her teaching job for the week, which Dani sees as a way to repair the relationship between herself and her sister! One last twin swap, what could go wrong?

Reading this felt like watching and early 2000s rom com, except if instagram influencers were a thing back then! I was pretty much hooked from page 1, and ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. Whilst this story is predictable, it was hilarious and so cute!

The tension between Dani and Beck is 🔥🔥🔥, and even though there a couple of times when she ends up walking directly into his 'rock hard chest' 😂 I forgive that because their interactions were all so funny and adorable! Also there's no steam in this book, so if you prefer a clean rom com then this one is for you!

At first I felt Dani's character was a bit shallow, but she definitely grew on me and I came to love her. She's the complete opposite to me personality wise, but I would love to be friends with her character! Especially when she made a Friday Night Lights reference omg (clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose 😭❤️).

If you're looking for a feel-good, nostalgic romantic comedy, then I would highly recommend picking up Twinfluence! I'm definitely excited to see more from this author team because I very much enjoyed their debut!

Grace Costello, a pen name for two well established authors who decided they wanted to try writing a rom com together, has debuted with a fun, heartfelt romantic comedy that I just about gobbled up. Our main character, Dani, is a 26 year old social media influencer living the "dream life" in California. It's only when her estranged identical twin sister asks her for a favor, to pull one last switch, so that she can go help a friend in Mexico, that Dani gets a chance to really reexamine the life she's been living. She realizes that maybe her life has only been perfect on the surface...

Covering for her sister's high school classes, Dani gets pulled deeper into the social world of her sister's school, develops relationships with the kids... and one HAWT Principal who seems to hate Sophie. Let me just state that in between the sweet and heartfelt moments of Dani's emotional revelations and growth, the authors threw in enough sizzling romantic tension that I absolutely became "hot for teacher." I mean Principal. Foster Beck *sigh*

I loved Dani and Foster's relationship and it had all the best hallmarks of a rom com relationship, but really what sold me on this book and will have me purchasing whatever the next Grace Costello title is, was the vulnerability that Dani showed throughout and the way that she and her sister were able to reconcile and become close again in the end. That side of Dani's character was amazing to see developed and I adored the way the authors handled this book. 4.5 stars.

Twinfluence is a hilarious and heartfelt new romantic comedy by Grace Costello (pen name for USA Today Bestselling author Nina Walker and M. F. Lorson). After reading this book, I'm convinced this duo must secretly be long lost twins. This is exactly how I picture #twinlife: mistaken identities, occasionally swapping lives, and the constant struggle to balance the need for individuality against the closest relationship possible. To say that I enjoyed this book would be an understatement. I did not want to put it down.

I love when a contemporary rom com includes deep character development and Dani's journey throughout the book is anything but superficial. A social media influencer who has lost touch with her twin sister and her own personal goals, Dani struggles to make things right even through the endless bumps along the way. Her transformation feels authentic and relatable in today's age of social media fame. Unfortunately, her twin sister's reasoning seems a bit ingenuine and is glossed over for the sake of moving the plot. I'd have liked to have seen a realistic cause for her departure and the subsequent twin swap, especially since it is noted several times how out of character it is for her.

Enter the highlight of this book: the love interest, Foster Beck.

-high school principal, a.k.a. the boss (forbidden love)
-rival of Dani's twin (enemies-to-lovers)
-skilled pianist who's good with the kids and passionate about his work (swoon)
-oh yeah, he's hot too

To summarize, Foster Beck is everything you could want in a book boyfriend. The chemistry between Dani and Foster is sizzling hot from the start, even if it's more tension than romance in the beginning. The progression from reluctant colleagues to flirty friends to hot and heavy is *chef's kiss*. For those of you wondering, this is a clean (fade to black) romance, but it doesn't change how satisfying their relationship is.

This book made me laugh out loud, cry, cringe, smile, and everything in between. Fans of Sophie Kinsella and Christina Lauren will adore Twinfluence. If you're in the market for a contemporary rom com, I highly recommend checking this one out.

Thank you Book of Matches Media and the authors for providing a free copy for review. All opinions are my own.

I loved this book! Who doesn’t love a good twin swapping adventure? This book had a great female MC and some really quirky, secondary characters (teachers & students included). I adored Dani. She was outgoing, fun loving and possessed a passion that burned like a thousand suns. She was funny and I was really rooting for her for the entirety of this book.

After being estranged from her twin sister for a few years it was really nice seeing Dani try to reconnect with Sophie. I admit, Sophie pissed me off for a good portion of this book because she wasn’t exactly the best sister to Dani but I’m glad that they were able to reconcile in the end.

While Foster wasn’t the best male MC, he wasn’t the worst either. He and Dani had some cute moments but he was generally broody (not in a good way) and was a bit of a jerk to Dani throughout. Regardless they did make a cute couple and I liked how things were resolved between them at the end.

Honorable mention-Ben. He was hands down THE BEST student in this story. He was that person everyone loves to hate. He had a serious attitude problem but he had me cracking and I enjoyed his scenes. Overall this was a great story and I enjoyed listening to the audiobook.

Content: Clean, Kissing, Innuendo, Fade to black intimacy, Mild language.

This was the first romcom book I have ever read and I have to say I was very impressed. It was lighthearted and fun & made me feel all the feelings.

I rooted for the main character Dani. I loved her personality, I loved that she would do anything for her sister and I loved her personal growth throughout the book.

The romance was beautifully written, it was definitely a forbidden love with a slight vibe of enemies to lovers but it played out so well and the chemistry was intoxicating.

I would have enjoyed seeing more of the sisters relationship throughout the book and I would love to see another book with the characters. I would totally recommend to romance, or romcom lovers!

I really enjoyed this book. Dani is an awesome protagonist. The relationship between the two sisters is difficult, complex, emotional and heart-warming. I adored the swoon worthy chemistry between Dani and Mr B was simply wonderful. There are enemies to lovers vibes and the slow burn romance is a pleasure to see. The story was so much fun to read.

Many of us will be able to relate to Dani (an IG influencer) and those of you that teach (like me) will definitely love Sophie and you can imagine their twin swap being hilarious.

Highly recommend for a fun and enjoyable read.

I loved this book! I love how Dani and Sophie are twins but they are so different! I really enjoyed how Dani was trying her best to mend her relationship with her sister, even if it meant leaving her glamorous life to teach in Oklahoma!

As soon as I got the enemies vibe from Foster, I immediately had to ship them. I mean who doesn’t love a good enemies to lovers trope? And the scene where she screamed “this is a closed rehearsal!” was priceless!

Being a huge theatre nerd myself, I love how this book had a side plot involving a musical! It gave me all the nostalgia from my years on the stage!

The epilogue was the sweetest!

I liked the story, but the editing--or lack thereof! How many times did the author mix up principal/principle, waive/wave, and more! Also, one time, the author stated that there were 7 board members: 5 women, 4 men. Do the math!

These hiccups made me pause and took me out of the story. Editing is important so people like me don't have to put the book down in frustration because what the author wants to say and what they do say is different. A good editor makes a difference. They create a smooth reading experience for the reader, whether the reader realizes it or not.

And it's a shame because I really like the story and want to read more by the author, but without a good editor, I won't be picking up another book by Grace Costello.

"One Last Twin Swap. What Could Go Wrong?

Actual rating: 3.5/5 stars

I received a free e-ARC copy of this book from Book of Matches Media in exchange for an honest review. Twinfluence will be out in stores on April 6th, 2021.

This cute and light-hearted standalone rom-com novel is just super adorable and funny that reminded me so much of The Parent Trap movies and the antics of the Olsen twins!

With the premise of a pair of twins - one being a scholarly teacher in a small town and the other a famous Instagram influencer - reconnecting after a falling out that happened between them many years ago, Sophie and Dani decided to do one final twin-swap that will help Sophie head over to another country to help a friend while Dani takes her place as a high school teacher. Things are obviously bound to go wrong with this arrangement, but the risks attached to it were something to keep an eye on.

The amount of fun and laughter this book contained was really amusing, and I just had a really great time reading it, and it was so easy to get into that I didn't realize that I was flying through the pages. Everything just happened in a snap and quickly, so there was never really a dull moment as the story progressed. While the entire plot itself was predictable, I still had a good time because the characters' antics were something that made the reading experience even more memorable. It was also amazing to see how they have all changed in many ways in a short amount of time, and that kind of character growth is something beautiful to read. It is definitely a worthwhile light comedic read that is a perfect reading break.

The different relationships that Dani had with the other characters was something I absolutely loved. I always love seeing twins be so different from one another, but also be identical at the same time (and not just with their appearance), such as in the case of Dani and Sophie. Their sisterly relationship was something really comforting to see, and I'm sure anyone with a twin (or a sibling!) can highly relate to them. Dani's relationship with Foster was just as equally amusing, and I find myself swooning at their budding romance. Though I wished their reunion scene was fleshed out a bit more, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Her other connections with her co-workers and students were something really nice to see and blossom, too.

I also enjoyed how this book wasn't just about romance or family, but it also showcased the ups and downs of social media, and everything good and bad in between. The constant pressure to maintain an amazing social media image can be both fulfilling and putting a lot of heavy weight on one's shoulders. So I really liked seeing how it can affect people greatly, and that it isn't all glitz and glamour.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who just wants a quick, light, and feel-good feelings in their rom-com novels.

A huge thank you to Book of Matches Media for the free eARC!

I ended up loving this book so much more than I thought I would getting into it! This was so much fun and cute and so reminiscent of my fave twin swap films like the Parent Trap, Olsen twins movies & the Princess Switch!

One Last Twin Swap. What Could Go Wrong?

SO MUCH stuff went wrong and I had the best time reading about it 🤣 This book focused on Dani, an Influencer Instagram, as she’s called by her twin sister, Sophie, who she’s had a rocky relationship with these past years to come help her do one last twin swap. Sophies flies out to Mexico to help out a friend and Dani steps in to take over her teaching job. What Dani doesn’t know is that their broody but very sexy principal, Foster Beck, hates Sophie for reasons Dani comes to uncover.. on top of that, she’s given the role of being the head of the upcoming school play 🤪 As a teacher at heart, she’s definitely up for the challenge of playing teacher but as something blooms between her relationship with Principal Beck, how long will she be able to keep up the game? 👀

This book had me laughing and crying in the best ways! Dani was such a fun, modern character to read about and to relate to. Being a part of a community on Instagram myself, I definitely understood a lot of the struggles she’s had in keeping her social media status and she showed the ugly and beautiful realities of it. Also, I appreciated how this book highlighted the importance of giving the arts department in schools the same amount of funding and support as the other departments.

I also really loved Foster Beck and their relationship! The bickering and tension between them was palpable and filled with delicious, slow burn goodness!! I was a bit bummed that this book wasn’t as steamy as I wished but the romance itself was swoon-worthy all througout so that alone made up for it until the end.

I enjoyed the sibling relationship between Dani and Sophie! They’re as relatable as they could be and my heart just warmed to the idea of them finally getting back those yers of not being close again. I wished we had more depth in Sophie’s character as well especially that we only had Dani’s POV all throughout

Overall, this book was one of the best romcoms I’ve read this year and I highly recommend it if you’re up for a fun, light and nostalgic read! Such an amazing debut novel from the new duo, Grace Costello! I’m so excited for what else they have in store in the future! 💛

PAZ !!!!!

Great Story & Narration🎧 An Entertaining RomCom!

Twinfluence
A Standalone Romantic Comedy
By: Grace Costello, Nina Walker, M.F. Lorson
Narrated by: Kelley Huston

I enjoyed this audiobook immensely, it is an original story that is well written with interesting storylines that are captivation from start to end. The characters are likable, easy to relate to and connect with. Identical twins Dani and Sophie used to be very close, but they have drifted apart, living in different states and busy with their careers did not help matters. Dani keeps herself busy as a social media influencer, gaining new followers and sponsors drives her, the money helps too. Sophie chose a quieter life with a teaching job in Oklahoma. When Sophie calls Dani asking for a favor, to do something they did often when they were younger, twin swap. School is starting, but Sophie needs some time off to help a friend, she can not ask for time off, so she asks Dani to step in and pretend to be her for a week. She says yes and hopes this will bring them close again, like they used to be. Sophie is off to Mexico with her friend and Dani is living her sister’s life as a teacher, a big plus is she gets to help the kids put on a musical production of such a fitting show, Oklahoma, a not such a big plus is Principal Beck watching her every move. A twin-swap what could possibly go wrong, LOL. This is a fabulous, feel good romantic comedy, it is a cleverly plotted story with a perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. Thank you for this enjoyable and entertaining story.

"one last twin swap, what could go wrong?"

Twinfluence follows Dani and Sophie as they embark on one more twin swap, as Sophie’s best friend
Nova needs her help to recover from surgery, therefore Dani agrees to become a schoolteacher for
the week her sister will be away, cue some old-fashioned mishaps and scenes that are meant for the
big screen, this book was completely hilarious and such an action packed fast paced engrossing read

I really enjoyed this story and it had so many laugh out oud moments, as well as cringing moments that you just wanted the ground to swallow Dani whole, you felt that invested in her. Dani is a well written character who I immediately warmed to, and I could not help but root for her the entire
book. Sophie however I feel she came across as a little selfish in places and is struggled to connect with her, but Jeanine was an awesome side characters, I feel she complemented Dani so well, especially with calling her out

I really like the modern twists on this book, like the fact that each chapter is hashtag named, and that there is mention of the positive powers of influencing and social media, I feel that was great as you don’t very often see much positive notions highlighted.

Plus, the romance in this book is so swoon worthy, and I really liked the fact that it was kept clean (sorry SMUT lovers) as you could feel
the tension and budding romance build, which felt a lot more believable and relatable

I did love the fact that there was suspense in the book in regard to the swap, as I spent majority of the book trying to guess if they would be found out or called out, and the plot twist with that secret was amazing and completely unexpected. Also, the books ending was so cute and such an aww moment, that’s definitely what you want from a Rom Com, this book completely nailed its genre and
it’s a fantastic read that I would recommend to all

"One last twin swap. What could go wrong?" Apparently everything, lol. I liked this story and enjoyed getting to know Dani and her back story with Sophie (since she agreed to do the swap because she wanted to mend their sisterly relationship). It was also fun getting to see the life of an influencer and what goes behind the scenes. The chapters being titled with hashtags were perfect and made it fun; and it was also great that the twin swap wasn't one-sided, but rather, at times, Sophie had to also help Dani out. The chemistry between Dani and Foster was off the charts, but while I had been enjoying their story, it was a huge turn off for me when their relationship started getting physical since it felt that was the only basis for it (keyword "felt" since they do talk and get to know each other, but it wasn't shown so much). Honestly, after that point, I kinda had to force myself to finish the story, though it did pick up with the performance nights and her using her influencer powers for good.

The narrator did a great job with all the voices, and I especially appreciated being able to tell the twins apart when they were talking with each other. The rest of the characters were played well (from Beck's smooth one, to the elderly ones as well as the teenagers).

Overall, a nice rom-com story, perfect for people looking for a Sweet Romance (as opposed to a Clean(&W) one) with a mix of Cali and Okla/small-town lifestyles. ~ 3.5 stars

Content:
Language: several d**n and s**t
Sex: it's never on-screen/graphic, but it definitely happens. There's innuendo, references to past encounters (she spends a day "having loads of amazing sex"), as well as allusions to certain body parts (her showing cleavage, his body responding to their passionate kisses, etc).

his was such a fun read! It made me feel nostalgic about all those old twin movies. Parent trap and the Olsen twins! I really enjoyed reading this book! So a solid 3.5 star! Round it up to 4!

Sophie and Dani are so different from one another and I liked that there wasn't any malicious thoughts between them or cruelties about how the other person has more or less. Both are teachers at heart but Dani took a different direction and became an instagram influencer. Something happens and the twins drift apart. But when Sophie calls for an emergency and ask her to work in her stead as a teacher for a week. Dani takes the next plane over and wants to help and  mend their bond! Little did she know that a spark will light up inside her and she finds her true calling. Sophie has a frenemie at school and Dani has been warmed... but Sophie didn't tell her how handsome he was! Dani and Foster Beck get to know each other slowly and they get close. SOOOO there's no steam in this book but it's fun either way. If you guys know me i love me some steam!! But I was fine with it in this book.

This book was from Dani's point of view and I really liked her as a person and she was so though and just put up with a lot of things thrown her way! I thought she deserved a lot more credit for everything!!! Sophie seemed a bit distant and I wished I had a bit more insight into her character and saw them more together...  this was a sweet, quick book and it was perfect to get my mind off and just enjoy the book!

The story starts of with Sophie calling her twin sister Dani after having a small falling out. One last time Sophie asks Dani for a twin swap while she goes to Mexico to help out her best friend when she decides to get a tummy-tuck a few weeks before her wedding. Dani decides to say yes since it will only be for a week and she also wants to fix their strained relationship. Now as a Social Media star Dani, in LA who went to school to be a teacher but didn't end up taking the test to become one, is headed to Oklahoma to pretend to be her sister. It will be a breeze right? Its something she always wanted to do anyways and her type A sister can plan out a weeks worth of school work nothing can go wrong. Well add in a hot principal who doesn't hide any distain he has for Sophie and then makes her be the director of the school musical, determined to see her fail.
Okay so, I don't normally read contemporary romance books. This book though showed me a new light to them because after this book I read three more within the next week. I loved it so much. It was so funny and the writing was fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about this book. It was a fantastic read and it was so quick. I read it in one sitting! I then went on to read Grace Costello's other book and it was just as good. This is the work of a writer duo and they did a great job of keeping Dani's voice as one person. You should definetly read this book if you are in a slump and just need a quick fun read to get you over that hump because this book will 100% do that.

This book is written together by Nina Walker and M.F. Lorson. This is a feel good romance that can be read in one sitting and enjoyed thoroughly.

Think of the movie The Parent Trap, and then dive into this story. What sets this story apart are it's twists. Twins Dani and Sophie have drifted apart but when Sophie asks for one last twin swap, Dani thinks of this as a way to mend bridges. Sophie is a teacher in a high school while Dani is a social media influencer. As Dani steps into her sister's shoes, she finds herself out of depth and taking decisions that might cause problems for Sophie later on. Honestly, what can go wrong when you suddenly take over another person's life (without knowing the current situation) and start to work on it. This is a recipe for disaster that may be good or bad in the end (I hope! I cannot reveal this)

As the story develops, there is a budding romance, sibling rivalry and bonds to be mended, and finally, kids to be taught. There are misunderstandings, a musical, teenagers and finally sisters who really need to talk to one another. This last part is the most important and acts as the guiding force in changing Dani's direction in life. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and even found some parts of it to be quite funny. This is a light and pleasant read that will ensure that the readers have a great time connecting with these delightful characters and learning a lesson or two along the way! This is indeed a must read!

this book caught my attention on tiktok. i had never read anything about a twin swap romance before and was practically salivating getting my hands on it. needless to say, it did not disappoint.

this book was super light and superrrr fun!!! Dani is a social media influencer who received a desperate message from her twin sister, Sophie, asking for a twin swap. Dani drops everything and goes to teach Sophie’s class for a few weeks and catches the eye of the hot principal. this book had me smiling. it was so cute and so unique! this didn’t really feel like a true romance book but rather it focused on Dani a bit more than her romantic relationship. however, the Hero was definitely really hot and the chemistry was sizzling. i did NOTTTTT know this book had fade-to-black spicy scenes. to say i was disappointed would be correct. but i still enjoyed this book. the only thing i didn’t really like was the relationship between Sophie and Dani. they are twins but rarely talk anymore and it made me sad :( Sophie dropped everything to help her best friend and begged Dani to fill in for her teaching position. i didn’t like Sophie at all. i felt she was extremely unappreciative of Dani and made me feel so sad for Dani. i had hoped they reconciled their relationship by the end of the book and i guess they kind of did but it wasn’t anything drastic. idk, Dani deserved a better twin sister lol.

This was a very cute, if implausible, story about identical twin sisters swapping roles for a few weeks when one of them had to go to Mexico to help a friend who was undergoing surgery. The main character, Dani, a social media influencer who stepped in for her sister Sophie as an educator in a small town high school, was fun, and I could sense the author(s)' wit in her character's thoughts. I only wish they had fleshed out Sophie's character more since I really didn't feel like I got to understand her character and innermost thoughts.

Now for the bad part. I removed 2 stars for the cheesy, predictable ending, but, more importantly, for the atrocious and distracting editing. I was absolutely shocked that I only found one other reviewer who commented on that. Maybe I notice more than the average person since I'm an editor, but I don't know how anyone can miss numerous misspellings (such as Santa Clause), periods that were missing, inconsistencies, etc. I don't like to nitpick but I come from an era when books went through meticulous scrutiny by publishing houses and professional editors. Since so many Kindle books are now self-published, these errors have become normal in this new age. I just find it sad. I really hope the authors take note of this for future books because they really have potential since it was an enjoyable story.

4.5⭐
🎭👯‍♀️Uhh.... I think beck already had feelings for Sophie. I don't like that. I wish we got his pov.

🎭👯‍♀️Loving the theater shenanigans 😂 That's some horrendous bunch.

🎭👯‍♀️Dani is straight up scared to confess. She's not even trying, just waiting for the disaster to strike.

🎭👯‍♀️Oh my god Benjamin....why? I kinda liked you.

🎭👯‍♀️I know Dani messed up but still.... She tried to do the right thing. Maybe it's because we got only Dani's pov but I really hoped the mending would be from both sides not just her groveling. That girl was trying so hard I felt really bad on her behalf. Did we see a book where the hero groveled this much because he lied? Go figure. I hate how her sister barely respects her because of her career choice. Beck did the same when he found out. Okay he was hurt I have to give him that. But the coldness after she came back was kinda too much. I was glad she didn't quit being an influencer and respected her accomplishments. Yes she worked hard to reach that level too. You can't just dish that.
I hoped to see more of the theater kids, like coming to Dani's side after the disaster or something. I loved how Dani connected with those kids.
Man I loved this book except these two things. It was a five star book for me but thn those happened and now I'm confused how to rate it.

4 glowing stars for Twinfluence.

I’ve always enjoyed stories about twins swaps. I don’t know why but I blame the Parent Trap for starters. 😂
Although Sophie and Dani share the same face they are entirely their own person. After a rift between the twins Dani is eager to repair her relationship with Sophie so of course she agrees to take over Sophie’s life while she goes down to Mexico. What starts out as a quick swap quickly changes to more long term and years ago that would’ve been fine but Sophie and Dani no longer know the other one as well as they should.

I throughly enjoyed watching Dani try to repair her relationship with Sophie, while discovering herself and gasp falling for the one guy she shouldn’t. Sophie’s boss Foster Beck! I loved the tension between Foster and Dani. I loved the growth of Dani. I loved the student and teacher relationships and using your voice for something good. My only complaint is the fade to black scenes. I like my reads a bit spicier but overall this is the perfect spring fun read.

TL;DR A cute fun read about twins swapping life’s, good romance tension, and lovable characters.

I was given an e-ARC copy of this book to read by the author and I’m so grateful! I needed something light and easy to read and I wasn’t disappointed.

This book is about twin adult sisters who do one last twin swap. Obviously you expect things to go sideways with that premise.

Usually, stories where all the things that can go wrong do really gets on my nerves, but this was not that! You immediately fall in love with Dani, the main character and are truly invested in her success! Sure, I felt like she really didn’t try all that hard at “being Sophie” and despite some mistakes made, you were rooting for her the whole time. I loved Jeanine and her maternal support and liked knowing that Dani had one ally from the start.

Dani was the main character and the story was more about her, but I felt like we didn’t really get to know much about Sophie at all. And with Dani being an online influencer, I expected to read more about her daily posts and how they would have changed throughout the course of the story.

Overall, I loved this book! I’m a sucker for this genre and I’ve followed Nina Walker from the beginning and read all her books and will continue to do so!
