Rate this book
Onward! Toward an adventure that they didn’t expect. Alex, Leeha, and Bridget are about to learn what’s going on at the Lake of Ruins. What they find there will provoke Alex to seek vengeance.

But the gate at the Lake of Ruins is not what he expected. Even God is silent about it. To be frank, Alex’s God is not only just silent but completely mute. Now he knows he’s on his own. But, as he moves through this new world of his, Boromour, he is not completely alone.

Leeha and Bridget help Alex adapt to Boromour, and to his new powers; powers he wants to unleash on those doing dreadful things at the Lake of Ruins. But this is not a time for a power showdown. Rather, it’s one for stealth, cunning, and -- as strange as it sounds -- close friendships.

As for his Chakras, Alex learns that gaining power is breaking his body, and he needs to train harder than ever. Opening his Chakras will either kill him or make him a force that Bomorour has never seen before.

This series contains the unabridged text (Meaning adult), mayhem, monster girls, fluffy tails, and just plain lots of magic.

This turned out pretty well. I wasn't sure through the first half of the book because there really wasn't much world building or magical progression. There also were only the 2 other characters for a while. The MC talked about how hot his companions were but he only had sex 1 time. The story picked up in the second half. A couple of new characters were added and the premise was changed little bit. Overall I enjoyed it.

Mc is dumb. So many spells can be made up with the entirety of the English language and he doesn't even try other than the most basic stuff. He is also deciding not to kill what are probably rapists and definitely murderers because his elf wife doesn't want him to be a bad guy? (While they are standing over mass graves with clothed men and nude females) Which makes sense to him because they were raised to see them as animals. You know because kidnapping and mass murdering sentient animals is acceptable behavior if you follow his logic. It's like strolling into a concentration camp, and letting everyone but the leader live because the rest was raised that way.
He also says he wouldn't even kill a dog back on earth, if he didn't need to. Which you know, why was that in question.

Mc mainly gets handed everything he needs. He needs a way to see in the dark, sure magic eye can see in the dark now even though it only saw magic before.
He thinks a bag of holding would be nice and a few sentences later he gets one.
He wants a wiki so good elemental gets one imprinted on her brain.
He has his heart explode when opening a shakra, but it's ok because his elemental put her heart in there temporary.
I could go on.

The god is also not very smart. His solution to lower overpopulation in hell worlds isn't to increase them in size, have them fight other hell worlds or simply just nuke them. No, he opens a portal from a hell world to the world the Mc is on, presumably gives him a quest to close it, and gets mad when he does. There was also no explanation why he went MIA for all the angels without telling them anything. Either the characters are meant to be dumb or the writer is not capable of writing smart characters.

But if you turn of your brain or just want popcorn fiction it works for that.

Audiobook review
D. Levesque is a clown; so get ready to get that pie slapped on your face.
First off, Levesque style of writing is that of a self-masturbation. Meaning, he isn't writing for you but himself. Biased? Yes, I am. His other books are a hot mess. However, I gave the first Elemental Summoner a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. While I still found some splosh of his rubbings on some chapters; I would still have rated his book as "okay". So I gave the second book a chance. It was like a playboy from a truck stop toilet. He really shat the bed with book 2. While there are a ton of problems with book two, there are really two problems with it.
1) The MC, world and characters are constantly getting updated with new powers and abilities. The "God"of the world keeps on changing things to the point where you question if there is any balance and consistency with the characters or the world. Making things confusing and just stop caring about the story.
2) The overall MC's emotional direction. The MC doesn't know whether to kill humans or not. Humans that have been raping and killing other sentient species. In a world where there isn't any real law on protecting slaves or the Hague for war crime tribunal...the MC decides to only kill on self defense. Why subdue their enemies like the 1960's batman? " Because it's wrong and you shouldn't be like the bad guys." This conversation took place with the MC with his non-human wife...in front of a mountain dead and raped bodies. By this point...I checked out as this book was not worth it. NOW, if I got isekaied to a medieval world where common decency, law and the hague did not exist …well I would be making a pile of dead guys. My problem with the author is that he cannot decide what direction his protagonist should take. His promise to look for justice is nonsensical as he has already killed a few racist henchmen on his way to the piles of dead brutalized victims.
Thats my main problems with the book. Now, here is a list of nit pick of the other problems that made this book suck.
-The MC is a retard - The MC can’t stop making earth refence and no one gets it - The author gives the MC what he want as the story progress (example:I could use a coffee = A character hands his a cup of coffee…with cream. Or I need a bag of holding *boop* You have looted a bag of holding - The MC is overpowered without any effort- The MC and his side characters have no concept of stealth as they talk, laugh and yell during a stealth mission - The GOD keeps changing the world, making world/characters no longer consistent - The MC gets what he wants and complains to god - The MC gets his harem but for some reason he makes his OWN MAGIC in to a woman and has sex with it. The magic is part of him; so says his manifested magic…makes you think. - The MC is in charge when he doesn’t know anything of the new world and his women are subs…subs who hate being slaves of humans. There is a ton more…but I don’t have time. This book is written by an author who has the mind of a horny teenager that I am pretty sure is taking an intro to writing a harem novel. The characters are clumsy, the created world has no strong foundation, the stats are all over the place, the powers are all over the place, the plot makes no sense, the motivation of the characters makes no sense. If I could, I would give him a 0 star rating. Anyone else here in the review that's giving him 3 stars plus…is on drugs.

so, so good

Okay, reading about Levesque I notice he’s an old gamer like myself… I might be slightly older but to find out about his past and games he’s played makes me smile. This book was much more better than the last book when I talk about annoyances… sure, he was still F bombing god and all but it kind of toned down somewhat. I truly hope that is a trend… now, this series is really such a great one, the world building is so superb, the side characters which are kind of moving to the forefront are also very good. I’m enjoying his harem, they’re pretty well rounded and I can only imagine what other kind of girls will be brought into the fold. Leo and Tommy are an excellent surprise to the group. One thing though that is forgotten, the author completely forgotten Targ lol… what happened to the man that was told to wait by the beachside cave entrance that gets sick if he betrays them? So much has happened and not a peep out of him…. Also, where is Bryan? I’m interested to see if Sara will get back to her family. There are so many more questions I have. I’m glad he at least got his beer, but seriously Coors? Give the man a red stripe or grolsch at least…not dragon urine 😂🤣. I can’t wait to jump into the next book… onward, lads!

Really getting into this series

Really enjoying this. Love the interaction between the characters, how they are leveling up and taking on additional teammates. Of course, gotta love an agressive white tiger catgirl. Also enjoyed how team Alex put the hurt on the evil doers and took on 2 young human apprentices. I can really relate to Alex's conflict about human ingenuity vs human destructiveness and self centeredness. My only concern is how cavalier they are about recharging. They wait for days to do it and arent concerned that events could ruin their plans. After all, it's not a hardship for Alex and Bridget to get frisky, so like why wait?

Looking forward to seeing the Mage Society and City Sovereigns take it in the shorts. Time to pay the piper boys!

Power up

So this author like to accelerate the power progression of his MC's. This book is no different as Alex has many changes and powerful coming along with a lot of pain. Nothing free it seems. Alex has given himself to change his new world and help it thrive. He slowly is and will be converting the racist and bigoted humans of his new world to make all the races get along. But first he needs to close the demon portal... Small task that is large but lots of learning and change in the way. This was a fun book but you need to enjoy OP characters to fully enjoy this book as there is no weak MC power wise. I enjoyed the book and will read the next.

Entertaining but weak dialogue

I love the concept so far and I take a liking to Alex as a fellow gamer and shut in. Him discovering his own powers and what he can do with them is excellent character development and I love how the author go about introducing ‘video game mechanics’ in this series compared to others. My biggest complain is, even though the characters are likable, they come off as pretty bland with their interactions. Dialogue just feels average and what you’d expect reading these harem style books. So far it’s got me hooked though and I look forward to reading the third book. I also appreciate the sex scenes gets my blood pumping.

Different but good read!

This is the second book in the series and was a bit hard to get through at times. The story became convaluted and became really simple, which is a shame because the first book had good storyline. It's not that the storyline changed, but it became so simple, and the MC powers were all over the place. All said it was good for what it was but became a 6 grade reader with penthouse wishes!

Fun and entertaining indeed.

When god puts you on another world after you take a bullet in the brain you know things are going to get interesting. They do. Alex saves his new world and sets in motion a plan to save the other races from the humans by saving the humans from themselves. Action, death, sex and more sex but all is good

A Great continuation and Excellent Book!

The story continues and the plot thickens! Characters grow and new are added. I'm very happy that there are other males added and not all other males are antagonists. I am finding this storyline very engaging and will most likely pre-order the next book!

Interesting use of AD&D game mechanics + harem sex.

Is the MC growing and developing? Check.
Does he now have 3 women (elf, elemental and catgirl)? Check.
Has he got "disciples" - young human mages? Check.
Is the story still evolving & interesting? Check.
Is there still tons of sex? Check.

Entertaining w

Alex is trying to change the attitudes of the humans towards other races. He also needs more power to prevent demons from invading his new world. A cat girl comes into his life after he and his group rescue kidnapped mages of various races. I like the action, humor, and lust/love. I look forward to the next book.

So this just got silly, and not in a good way.

The characters became comically predictable. The story just got lost. The dungeon was pointless. The ending was contrived. This took what was a solid start in book one and just threw it away.

A fun ltrpg read

The adventure continues and boy it's a lot of fun I really enjoyed the second book and I also like the spicy romance that's in it as well and seems to be a little bit more realistic that way but it doesn't overpower or overshadow the story.

A nice addition

This is a good continuation of the story. It is headed towards gamelit, so keep that in kind as the story goes on. The MC is likable as well as the supporting characters.

Nice fun book

It's a nice easy guilty pleasure of a book but you need to read them both. If you like isekai animae or books then I think you should enjoy this. If you want to tax and confuse your brain read something else. If you want an enjoyable read give it a shot

Review based on how much I enjoyed it...

Look it's not war and peace but I liked the characters and the simplicity and sometimes these days combine that with escapism and big boobed elves and really it's a nice way to while a way a couple of hours.
More please!

Great book !

This series is taking shape in a great way. Not sure how many world destroying events can happen in one story. Hopefully this gets interesting without forgetting to develop the characters. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

This book was more a slog than the first one. It had less happening compared to the first book. It felt like there was more talking than anything.

I will pick up the sequel though.

One think I don't understand is that the cover doesn't match anyone in this book. Who is it?

This is good.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was difficult to put down. The story and characters continue to develop and grow. Alex and the ladies confront the portal and make new friends. I look forward to seeing what comes next. This book is definitely worth reading.

Great Book

These stories keep getting better and better. While you may feel they are over the top, they it's fantasy/science fiction and you can't tell me that's not why we read these types of books.

Even better than book #1

The journey of Alex our MC continued. The story gains a lot of momentum and tons of action.
Not ending in a cliffhanger but the projected changes coming for this world and the humans in it make me pick up book #3 in a moment.

Get it!!

I'm not sure why I waited so long to continue this series. Good writing, good story, kinda fast relationships, but it does not break anything. Pick these up, as they are good!

Leaves she says he is older than dirt; I may be older yet I still enjoy a good story. He has created interesting characters and developed fun plot lines. I am anticipating enjoying the next book.
