For 22 years, Summit and Sage got their hands on every fantasy and paranormal book they could find and watched every movie from Harry Potter to the Underworld series. Each day they talked about how they wished the world of magic and supernatural creatures was real...
Summit spent a family vacation in New Orleans and sparked a series of events that she could only dream of. Now she is facing a prophecy that is foretold that she has to fulfill. Who knew touring an American city could lead to such an adventure? In the words from Summit herself...bring it on.
Sage was intrigued when she received the phone call to save her best friend from an unfortunate incident. Little did she know, it roped her into Summit's new realm of bullshit and now she is thrust into the adventure with her. In Sage's words... "you are so lucky I love you."
Now they are both fighting against The Darkness and saving the world they had just learned of.
It is the first RH (Reverse Harem) book that I read and I must say that I was fascinated by it. From the first page you are immersed in the story and it is impossible to let go. And that ending, all it does is leave you wanting for the second book. Summit and Sage are interesting, funny characters, and they will stop for nothing to protect those they love. I love their relationship and the development it has during the story is quite satisfying. Each character is unique and they feel so real that it makes you worry about what is going to happen to them. Xavier, Lincoln, Kelen and Rhett are incredible, I can't wait to see how their brotherhood relationship develops with respect to the girls they love. The mythology of this story is fascinating. Every detail is well cared for and you want to know much more about this world. I had some reluctance to read an RH book but I think my decision was the right one. Moon Blessed is an amazing book to start reading in this kind of genre. I can't wait for the next book.
This books follows two sister, summit and sage, as they discover they aren't exactly what they have been told (although they suspect they aren't normal humans).
This book is so-so for me. I didn't mind parts, but the writing felt a little clunky. Very blocky and missing a flow that I typically see in book. Some of the descriptions or mental dialog felt excessive, and I found myself skipping over a few parts just to get back into the thick of it. It also felt like a million things happened during the book and it just kept being added on and on and on and on. The book could definitely have been split up, possibly adding some more character interactions in, and slow down the pacing.
The general plot of the book is fast and heavy, but the romance was not. Although both sisters have/do meet their mates fairly quickly, the relationships between them confused me. I did not enjoy the Summits mates interactions the first couple days after the initial meeting. Both mates were complete assholes, wanted nothing to do with the sister or mates, and did a complete 180 in less than a day. There was no development and suddenly they're happily mated. There is also a sexual scene with summit and her mates in which no prep happens and I cringed so hard. I have never had a reaction like that before, I was taken aback by the progression in the scene.
I don't think I will be continuing with the series. Even though I have questions, the awkward writing style, frankly unsettling relationship development, and off pacing are enough to convince me not to keep going.

This book was absolutely thrilling and intriguing! Such a uniquely original story full of action, love, power, family, and so much supernatural goodness you’ll be filled to the brim!
Embry Fox created such a wonderful world full of magic, creatures and powers I have never seen quite like this. The story woven was so brilliantly told, with details that made me feel as though a movie was playing before my eyes. I loved the detail and descriptions, such lovely visuals to paint a picture for the reader.
Even more so, I LOVED the relationships that grew and flourished throughout this book. Both between the twins and outside. Such beautiful dynamics were built and it made the story that much better. Family above all else, and that is exactly what this group is, family. Blood or not.
I loved this book! I can’t wait to see where Embry takes us with book 2!
This was a great start to a new series. I found it hard to put it down. The story is told from multiple points of view which helps the story flow. Kick Ass FMC' s , their hot men, great world building and a few twists make this a great read. I highly recommend. And that cliffhanger at the end! Can't wait for the next book.
I really enjoyed this book. It has great characters. It’s got romance and paranormal creatures which are two of my favorite things. Summit is a great character. She loves all things supernatural and paranormal. She doesn’t like to be told what to do. She is a fighter. Her best friend Sage is the opposite of her. Summit goes to New Orleans and ends up with a job offer. While she is touring headquarters some things happen: she finds out lots of things about herself and the world she lives in. She also finds out things about her best friend Sage. Together Summit and Sage take on new responsibility’s. Read the book to find out what happens to Summit and Sage. Also find out what secret their other best friend Sarah is hiding.
Honestly, it feels as if there are to many elements going on. Great story but feels as if it could be several books not just one. Some of the time lines don't add up. It starts with one girl not knowing supernaturals exist to finding out she is one. Then a prophecy, to twins, to her best friends being her sisters. It was too much. Has the potential to be a great story without all the extra elements thrown in.
Really enjoyed this intro into The Zeita Chronicles. Embry has a brilliant flow with words. I love the twins and their attitudes, how they differ from each other but are a force together. They are going to be an amazing fighting duo. Can’t wait to read more 🤩 ❤️
Fantastic paranormal romance! Really enjoyed the plot and the characters! I’m really curious what’s going to happen next! Isn’t that the purpose of a book to leave you wanting more? Well this book certainly succeeded. Great read!
Super unique storyline with lots of action and suspense! I love how all the characters mesh really well together. The twins, Summit and Sage are thrown on a rollercoaster ride, but thankfully they have alot of support. The ending is a cliffhanger, but it's so good!
Liked this book more than i thought i would, the blurb didn’t really excite me much but as part of a challenge i took a chance, I wasn’t ready for it to end & i love Summit’s character how she’s sassy & stubbornly herself
Love this book! I can’t believe this Embry’s first book. This book is full of emotion and love that it is bursting. Getting to know the girls and begin this journey with them has been amazing. I need the next book!
