It will be the best thing you have done for sure!!
I'll be honest, Good Vibes Good Life (his book) was a great and easy read but I remember feeling like I wanted more. This book is it. It's completely, well balanced, easy to understand but deep. Vex has nailed this one. One of the best books you'll ever read!
This book is honestly amazing, it has some really good practical exercises in it too which can help you to change your thought process or evaluate past trauma. It has some amazing guidance in it and really puts things into perspective. It’s like therapy in a book. 100% recommend!
I was already a fan of Vex King’s first book Good Vibes, Good Life and i was was eagerly waiting for his next book! I’m in a journey of healing and this book is a blessing in disguise. I felt a sense of relief while reading and i love how his writing style— articulate and deep. Thank you Vex for the practical exercises to try out and the guidance. ✨
This book felt more like a biography. I felt it has negative undertones at certain parts of the book which is sad because I was so excited for the release of this book.
The introduction to the book set a tone I wasn't sure was in alignment with the description and title of the book. It was a bit misleading and felt a bit like the book would be set up as an autobiography. The first chapter gave a lot of technical information and explained how the book was compiled and what you would find inside. I was surprised that the basis of the book was based on yogic principles or ideas and practices.
I felt that the individual chapters were a recall of how the author has helped others, which does give a great example on how to use the techniques, but that it lacked connectivity to the purpose of the book. I felt like a quick guide could be written on the activities themselves and it would still be beneficial without the introduction to each exercise.
This isn't to say that there aren't Little seeds of insights and wisdoms but I found there is very little I took away from this book other than a few lines or quotes to remind myself about my own personal work. For me the exercises were not inspiring, however for another they may be just what was needed.
This book felt more like a recollection of the authors experiences mixed with exercises for the reader to make a book that might be valid for today. This was not my cup of tea but for beginner who is hoping to find practices or activities to sit in silence and work on inner trauma, this might be helpful - That is if your trauma is light and does not require the assistance of a professional.
This book is beautifully written with lovely illustrations and It creates a positive message it helps to overcome Hurdles that always stay in your mind it’s a book you Can’t put down you always want to read more.
This book has helped me in finding myself and to complete heal from my personal traumas and insecurities. I do not want to give away anything from the book, but it's very well written and forces you to reflect on your own life. The exercises recommended in the group definitely help you get perspective on life. It's a great read and a mix between a self-help book, guidance, practical, and meditative all mixed into one.
A good book if you're getting started with self-help books, but if you've already read some books on this subject it might read as repetitive. Great exercises for meditation if you need that. An extra point for the book being aesthetically pleasing, and the illustrations are really pretty.
The first book of yours Good vibes , Good life.y god I absolutely loved it. I had bought it as i thought it should be a my kinda book. And woah little did i know it would really turn out to be my kind.
And later i went on to hear so much of your book. It changed my thinking. My life. My thoughts and what not. I often read that book in between some days when i feel low. It uplifts me and my mood in so many ways.
Similarly i pre ordered your new latest book , Healing is the new high, months before the launch. As i was sure this too would be becoming my favourite just like the first one.
So i loved this one even more than the first one. I am from india and so much is happening around us that with already so much mental strain, our minds need positivity and strength to over come these tough times. I felt so happy and lighter after reading this book.
Would love to read your Journaling guide too. And would be honoured if i receive a copy of the same. After-all it’s written by one of my favourite, upcoming and such a talented author !!!
Please please check my Instagram. I tagged you in a post that i created for your new book. The day i received it from amazon.
This book is incredible for a whole body, mind and soul healing experience. So often healing books are knowledge only and lack practical steps but this book ticks all the boxes. I recommend everyone read this incredible book, Wow! Next level healing 👌
There is a lot of wonderful advice and guidance. I appreciated the appropriate and practical exercises that he offers throughout the book. He lays out the book in such a way that it works. I can see this being beneficial for those who need to heal from past traumas. It can also show you why you react the way you do and then guide you to addressing why and healing. Vex King writes in such a genuine and relatable read that it makes it easy to follow and grasp.
It's an amazing book.Everybody talks about healing and how important it is to heal but no body talks about how to start and this book exactly tells you that.I am just half way through this book amd i am in love with it.
The impact of this book will very much depend on the what the reader was expecting from it.
I would say it’s better if we not expect too much out of this book when it comes to exploring and understanding trauma. Expect to get some comfort and some level of understanding when you open this book and some basic easy exercises to do in between.
want to start this review by saying this is very out of my comfort zone and I do not believe I was the intended audience for this book - the following review by no means takes away from the knowledge and wisdom of vex king.
But also - what on earth was that
Feel like the book was either way too spiritual (even when he said at the start multiple times it should be relatable and isn’t too intense) or the guidance was like such common sense like “think before you speak” kinda vibes. I tried to go in with an open mind but this really just wasn’t for me.
I do think maybe his other books more focused on positive affirmations and manifestation could be more suited to my lifestyle - can see why this book was a post divorce read for Helen but don’t think I’ll be diving in her post divorce book collection again.
There’s several good practical exercises in this book and I like how the chapters were structured. It was a super quick read but nothing really stood out to me as new information.
I promise you I'm trying my best, I really do. Every year I tell myself that all the books of self help and all the ones about habits and time management are good and probably I'll lear something from them, but so far only one has been life changing (The Courage to Be Disliked: How to Free Yourself, Change your Life and Achieve Real Happiness is a masterpiece!!).
This book is a little different than the rest that I've read so far since the author is trying to make you do some exercises and trying to make you go through some deep thoughts, and I loved that he was trying so hard to make it as easy as possible for the reader. But, other than that, it's nothing revolutionary or something memorable.
I loved this book. The author makes you do little activities in between each lesson to help you be more grounded with areas you are trying to be more open with. It’s about acknowledging your trauma (not necessarily saying it’s going to heal you) but noticing what is there and why it’s there. Is there anything you could replace with it. I loved this book. It’s a good read for the morning.
I just want to highly recommend this book to everyone. I’m so grateful for reading Good Vibes Good Life was meant to be and helped me so much getting out of the dark place. I purchased at least 5books I’m and have them to my friends. I love vex king and his weekly newsletters are very helpful too 😊 Thank you 😊
I can’t remember how I came about Vex’s IG account maybe it was divine intervention and eversince then I am always looking forward to his posts which helps me a lot especially on my mental health. I treasured his first book more so his second book.
Truly it was carefully written to help the reader not just by having a good read. He goes really deeper from his first book. Just from the title, there is already a sense of excitement what the book has about to offer.
Looking forward to your next book. Thank you for always sharing and ready to help other peope through your words.
I listened to this on the Hay House Unlimited App. I was blown away. First I loved the narration. Second this is so fill with amazing stories and practices for you to enjoy. I must say that I really enjoyed everything about this book but the very best part for me was the ending in the closing thoughts and the afterword/dedication. Wow. Wonderful book Vex. Highly recommend. Thank you. I probably missed some things so will definitely listen to again.
I am still reading the book, and I want to take my time reading the book and doing the exercises to get the most out of the book, but so far I’m really liking the book! Vex uses stories of other people’s life’s to build a picture of how important it is to deal with issues and then gives exercises to heal deal with those feeling and emotions.
