Lila Morris feels like she's been pregnant for years and is trying everything she can to bring on labour as her due date approaches. Joanne Baker and Max Jenkins have bought the cottage of their dreams and everything seems perfect. But life always has a few surprises in store. Roxie Walker is really excited about the new baby that will soon arrive on Sunflower Street. She just hopes she'll have time to throw Lila the best baby shower ever before labour begins.
Rachel Griffiths is an author, wife, mother, Earl Grey tea drinker, gin enthusiast, dog walker and fan of the afternoon nap. She loves to read, write and spend time with her family.
Lila is longing for her baby to arrive, she feels she's been elephant-sized for just too long! Joanne and Max have bought their very own cottage and are looking forward to moving in whilst Roxie is eager to hold Lila's baby shower before she goes into labour - can it be done?
It's such a joy to return to Sunflower Street and catch up with the residents again - I feel as if they are friends by this sixth book. What a smashing place to live! Full of wonderfully created characters - and pets - there is always something happening to keep the reader on their toes. This, especially, is a beautifully written instalment with everything handled smartly by the author making it such fun to read as well as a bit tense from time to time. And, best of all, there is just a little hint at the end that there may be more to come - I really hope so. Another gorgeous read from Rachel Griffiths, worth all five stars! If you haven't come across this feel-good series before, then I recommend you indulge yourself and lift your spirits!
Thoroughly enjoyed this continuation of the stories of Sunflower Street. What i particularly liked was the great friendship between Lila , Roxie and Joanne. These are great books, easy to read and so enjoyable so if you haven't read the series yet, please do so.I A very good heart warming story
I can’t read enough of these books. I am in pain with a torn muscle around my shoulder so am needing to keep occupied. What better way than reading Rachel Griffiths amazing writing about people on Sunflower Street. Wonderful books you must all read them.
Another fabulous story by Rachel, following the lives of Roxie, Lila, Joanne and their families. She has a way in her storytelling which makes you feel you are part of the book. Can't wait for the next one
Yet another great book in the Sunflower Street series although I confess it's not my favourite!! It's a bit emotional and the furbabies are on great form again! This is such a great series.
I love these books. All the characters are so well defined, and it's been great getting to know their individual stories. I am glad that there are still lots of people to investigate and stories to come.
Sweet and heartwarming Our favourite couple who started the journey to sunflower street and the initial pairing which got me hooked on the series. Loved reading this book, always an easy read and doesn’t take you long to get into and then realise the story is nearly over.
I’ve read all the Sunflower Street series and always look forward to the next one. They make you smile and it’s great following all the characters in every book. Keep writing them.
Loved being back on sunflower Street where Lila baby is due. Her friends are all there for them both, especially Roxie and Joanne. A fab read by Rachel Griffiths xx
Another amazing read! Rachel is my comfort author and I swear I can read one of her books in a day simply because they make me so happy and content. Already excited for the next book in the series!
A really good read and I am loving how the characters are moving forward in their lives but have the backbone of friends to help and be there for them when they are needed.
Its one of those that I often think, where can the author go next and where do you take the characters to as you feel you are part of their lives as the book is so well written.
I have my fingers crossed that the author has another one in the series to read.
