"A good solid fist-slinging gunslinging read." William W. Johnstone Nobody knows the law like a man who's been on the wrong side of it. Sam Stranahan's an honest man who finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. He arrested for robbing the Bozeman stage...a crime he didn't commit. He's on the run, and on the chase.

Nobody knows the law like a man who's been on the wrong side of it! Sam Stranahan's an honest man who finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. His ride through hell and back has made Sam's next step clear: pick up a gun and make sure some justice finally gets done, with or without the law.
What did I like? Ok, this is really a great western with so many things happening that it kept me really turning the pages and could not lay it down. Every time I thought that things would work out a monkey got thrown in and off it would go again.
What will you like? Another well wrote and thought out storyline that has so many twists and turns that keep everything so stirred up. For a while, I thought the bad guys were going to win and I wanted to cry, then out of the blue Stranahan pulled a rabbit out of a hat and off it went again. Great ending and another great western.
This was one of the most difficult books I've ever rated. The errors in broken sentences and homophomes would give me cause to rate the book a two and one-half.
I'd rate the story as a five if there had been any back story about one of the significant characters (a "soiled dove"). Needs must, the most I can give, with a stretch, is four and one-half.
Overall, a three plus, but if you can ignore the homophomes and broken sentences, I recommend this story. As a matter of fact, I give it a strong recommend.
5 STARS worth of old west era action packed Shoot-em up adventure full of old west type physical fights with some not fair. Going on excitement filled with Indians who are emboldened due to the massacre of Custer & the 7th Cav, so description of a man staked out and just so much more! A western with grit western readers love; don't want , I definitely recommend highly.
This is a very interesting story, with good characters and development that western stories need. The characters were fun to read. The author did a very good job. Very relaxing book to read and well worth it.
Fine classic western, desperately needs editing. Heard some smooth CANTORS sing, but horses CANTER. If there are further books in the series read them, too
