When he catches Shasta Ludlow in a bad part of town looking for castoff treasures for her art, police chief Gideon Trace immediately recognizes two things about the beautiful, feisty human.
She is his mate, and she needs a daddy.
Though Gideon manages to hold back the savage, primal need demanding that he mark and mount her right then and there, he makes it clear that Shasta will obey him from now on, and when her reckless behavior continues to put her in danger he spanks her bare bottom soundly.
But an alpha shifter's instincts can't be held in check forever, and Gideon knows that soon it will be time to take what is his, claiming Shasta first in his bed and then in front of his entire pack.
Publisher's Note: Wolf Daddy includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.
While this story does not indicate it will be a series, there is plenty of room for another book or two. The story has a daddy-dominant wolf shifter, Gideon, and a human, Shasta, who has little tendencies. The story is full of mystery, suspense, danger, paranormal, some daddy-little girl talk (not age-play) with a touch of voyeurism, quite a few discipline scenes, some role play scenes, and explicit sex.
Shasta is an artist who enjoys repurposing refuge. She has an eye for turning someone else’s trash into works of art. She will get caught by Gideon when she is going through a construction dumpster one night. She isn’t happy when he keeps referring to her as a child.
“I am not a child! Let me go!” “Not a child, but you are a little bit of a thing. Are you ready to behave yourself so we can talk?”
Gideon knows the minute he meets Shasta, she is the one, and keeping his wolf at bay isn’t easy, but this must happen slowly. “Claim—take—knot—mark” It doesn’t take long for him to discover the simple things, like allowing her to continue finding her treasures in the dumpster, which brings her so much joy. But he wants her safe, not doing this at night, not by herself either. Then he plans a date, taking her to the city dump!
“Well, it sounds like we better get busy. Come on, my little dumpster diva.” “I thought I’d take my little dumpster diva to the city dump.”
The plot of this story will have Gideon and Shasta meeting when she is dumpster diving and them him taking her for a day at the city dump to find more treasures. It doesn’t take long for him to recognize she is his and that she is also a little, something his Daddy dom craves. Together, there is a connection, and it doesn’t take long before she acquiesces into calling him, Daddy. Their relationship progresses quickly, changing to intimate, and him allowing her to know that he is a wolf. She promised him she would not go out dumpster diving by herself, does so in a bad neighborhood, overhears a crime, and is caught up in a murder. Her Daddy Wolf isn’t going to be pleased with his little girl—and she will be punished.
“You need a keeper, little girl, and I want you way too much for my own peace of mind. I think I’m exactly what you need, little girl. I’m the daddy here. I do all the handling.”
The story has the good, the bad, and the evil. While most of the pack accepts the relationship and soon to be mating of Gideon and Shasta, there is one who doesn’t—and she is determined to cause trouble—even if it means the death of Shasta. Evil from the past will come back into play (where a second story may evolve.) The mating ceremony is shared by all of the pack, or those who accept her as their new luna.
“Follow your instincts, and everything will be as it should be.”
I am not usually one for a daddy romance, but I was blown away by this story. The author did a fantastic job of drawing the picture of the little, she wasn’t a bratty girl who needed a firm hand. She was an independent woman who just needed someone to care. And the Daddy was everything I would hope for in an alpha male. I love how he was able to take his time and they both got the HEA they needed. I really hope the author has more stories in store for the wolf pack because the storyline was interesting and kept me enthralled, and left me wanting more. This was a wonderful read and I look forward to more by this author.
This was such a fun and sexy read! It had action, romance, suspense and even some sprinkled humor throughout.
I love paranormal romance - the magic, the mystery, the fated mates! Yes, please :) I also love the Daddy/little girl kink, with the protective alpha and the carefree little girl.
Needless to say, the blurb hooked me and I’m so glad I got a chance to read the delicious blend of my two favorite romance genres in Wolf Daddy! I’ll definitely be on the look out for more in this series.
It’s safe (with exceptions, see safety spoilers below!), has no cheating and only mild OW drama. The romance was sweet and had buildup to the ILY’s that I really enjoyed. Gideon was awesome and Shasta was hilarious and adorable in her own way.
The mating ceremony and the Luna title was a bit different and the voyeuristic aspect of that claiming was outside my comfort zone but overall, it wasn’t too bad. I still really liked the rest of the story.
The Wolf and what will happen to Maura is still to be determined so I’m definitely ready to see Gideon and his pack pull out all the stops to protect their own from these two. Which reminds me, I get Gideon is law enforcement but I wasn’t expecting him to be so lenient with K or Maura. I was ready for some violent retaliation so when he lets them go and Maura ends up with Wolf, I felt a tiny bit of frustration that Gideon didn’t eliminate the threat immediately but . . . but I still love him and Shasta and will be ready to read their next chapter.
Favorite Moments/Quotes: I loved Shasta and how she was totally smitten by Gideon and his acceptance of her dumpster diving habits, lol! It was a unique twist in the story and made both MCs memorable!
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. (Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have to be at work early (like 3am early) the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Alpha Chief of Police of Wolf Junction Gideon, he is loyal to a fault, controlling, demanding at times, sexy as all get out, extremely protective of those he loves and cares for. His path to being the leader of his pack wasn’t easy in fact his father before him ruled with an iron fist he was brutal and mistreated the pack until the day he was beaten and sent away. Shasta is an artist that uses other peoples discarded items and turn them into art and often goes dumpster diving in the evening in dangerous area which isn’t safe. But legally she wasn’t breaking any laws by dumpster diving, but she was in a rough area and one evening Chief Trace pulls her out of a dumpster demanding to know what she is doing at that time of the night in a rough area no less. He realizes that she needs a daddy he intends to be that for her because she is his mate although, she is human and doesn’t realize what that means but soon she will know. The chemistry is instant and intense. The magnetic pull can’t /won’t be ignored especially when the wolf knows she is theirs. She promises not to go dumpster diving alone but some things are too good to pass up and breaking that promise while out searching she overhear a mob hit she manages to not get caught by them however, a body is thrown on top of her of course she is going to be in trouble with Gideon when he comes to her rescue. Gideon is protective of her and knows she isn’t going to learn if he doesn’t punish his little girl for breaking her promise and putting herself in danger. Gideon and Shasta troubles aren’t over so will they stand together, will she understand what it means to be his mate and can the two of them find happiness?
Plot: Shasta is a young artist who finds her inspiration in discarded treasures. That's how she finds herself in a dumpster one night in a not-so great part of town, and that's where Gideon, a cop doing security for a friend, finds her. He realizes right away that she could be the Little Girl he's been looking for. She is a little prickly, a little bit of a brat, but all she needs is some guidance and some love. She takes risks, though, too many as far as Gideon is concerned, but this Daddy has just the cure. Oh, and he's a werewolf.
Commentary: So, a werewolf Daddy. I've read some stories from Renee Rose that have the same premise, and I really like those. This one wasn't as smooth as those, although I was caught by the idea that Shasta didn't know about shifters and then she would have to become the Luna of the tribe. I'll be honest, I always associate the term "Luna" with Wattpad. But anyways, Shasta was young, even aside from the DD/lg aspect, and I think too young and inexperienced to be an effective luna. The story showed her using her authority toward the end of the book, but I felt it a little unbelievable. She was cute, though, the way she made her art, and I liked the setting (mostly because I'm familiar with it!).
This was a fun read that I got through in a single fairly short sitting. I loved seeing how he had to fight himself while wooing her, and how the pack stepped in to help her when it was needed. So good to see that he turned his back on the ways of the past and wooed rather than forced, but it was the way he supported her that really warmed my heart. I hope we see more of this world and how the other wolves find their mates--plus what happens with his father. Can we hope that more will come...
I would first like to say that this is the first time I am reading a product of Morganna Williams, so I did not know what to expect about her writing style.
The couple in this book is mainly Shasta Ludlow and Gideon Trace. Shasta is an artist that finds her material out of the dumper. Gideon catches her in the dumpster. I would not find that romantic in the least bit. However, the author used the dumpster to her advantage to say the least. Their couple’s development was fast. Granted the book was short. The conversations between the characters are not plot developing or couple developing. It is more small talk than anything.
In this book, Shasta witnessed a murder that Gideon rescues her from. The antagonist reveal is not who I thought it would be. Shasta and Gideon pairing led the majority of the book with a mating at the end of the book. There are moments in the plot that could’ve have been elaborated better with the holes of Gideon’s family past. The book is written from multiple point of views.
The “romance” scene was steamy. I will never judge on the amount of romance scenes in a book, but more the quality of the scenes themselves. There is a ton of romance scenes in the book. It included spanks, anal play, and voyeurism. The scenes were not short either, but carried out in an appropriate length. The female main character does refer to the male main character by “daddy” a lot more than how I would assume someone in that type of relationship would refer to their significant other, but I could be wrong. I was note expecting the intensity of the romance scenes to be as steamy as they were, but I was not disappointed.
The ending of the book tied the book together and the character’s conflicts were address. Also, the author seems to be writing a sequel or series to this book due to the nature of how it ended.
With that being said, I give the book a 4 out of 5. There was romance, plot, and some cliche. However, I feel like there was plot holes that could have been filled.
With thanks.
Disclaimer: I did get this book for free through Booksprout. However, I did not get paid for a skewed review. This is an honest review with no intentions to sway readers to persuade sales.
A riveting read, totally enthralling Gideon Trace is Alpha and Chief of police At Wolf Junction and he has a loyal and well-established pack which has be attained after a very rocky period when his father Maddox a brutal Alpha had ruled until the fateful day he had been challenged and beaten and then had been ostracised. Shasta is an artist that uses reclaimed materials to make useful and beautiful things out of and enjoys dumpster diving late at night helping herself to discarded materials before they are taken away to the local tip. Until the fateful night she had been hoisted out by a mountain of a man demanding to know what she was doing so late in such a dangerous area going through dumpsters. This had been the start of a wonderful relationship and they had found themselves on their first date at the local dump with Gideon having to chase his tiny whirlwind as she charged up and down mountains or material with no regard to life or limb. The fact that he was a wolf shifter and also the Alpha of his pack meant that she had to fully understand the full implication of becoming his packs “Luna”, she would help him rule his pack as his mate and more importantly as her “Daddy”. After she is threatened by one of his pack females Maura who arranges for an attack at her workshop and subsequent demise, this was thwarted and she had been unable to prevent the formal “Mating Ceremony” and was banished from her pack, the entire state with a threat of death if she ever returned. Just as things seem to be going well for the pack it seems that an ugly head has re-emerged locating Maura, he advises her that she is to become his Luna and that they would soon be returning to Wolf Junction to take back his pack. Yes, Maddox Trace has found someone that hates his son’s mate as much as he hates his son, they will both bring about their demise and take over the pack. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Wolf Daddy is a delightful shape-shifter romance penned by Morganna Williams. In this book, readers meet an adorable Little, Sashta D. Ludlow, and a strong shape-shifting wolf and Police Chief, Gideon Trace. Gideon is also the alpha male of his pact in Wolf Creek and needs a mate. Sashta, a petite and adorable artisan, primarily uses repurposed materials gathered from her adventures dumpster diving to create her artwork. During one of her dumpsters diving escapades, she is discovered by Chief Trace. Immediately their connection is electric. She exudes her Little traits and Gideon realizes she needs a protector and keeper. She brings out his protectiveness and possessiveness. They begin a relationship. He cautions her about dumpster diving alone and the dangers involved. She disregards his cautions and is nearly discovered when local thugs killed an informant and throw his dead body in the dumpster, she is in. Terrified she reaches out to Gideon. Can he get to her in time? Will she be safe? What happens when it is discovered she can identify the killer? Read this book to discover what happens.
This is the first book by Ms. Williams that I read, and I was quite impressed. I enjoyed her writing style, her use of dialog, and her skill with descriptive language. They all contributed to capturing and maintain my attention. Her skill with plot pacing was spot on. Nice job, Ms. Williams!
Sasha is in a really bad part of town dumpster diving. She's looking for treasure people throw away for her art. (Someone else's trash is someone else's treasures!) She gets caught by Gideon, who happens to be the Alpha Chief of Police at Wolf Junction. Gideon knows that she's his fated mate but she's also needs a daddy. It's great how he explains to Sasha about a wolf shifter, her role as the Luna of the pack and how she would be able to help him rule his pack as his mate and he would still be her daddy. There is action, twists and turns, danger, suspense, violence, spankings, discipline, domineering and plenty of hot steamy romance. I really enjoyed reading this intriguing wolf shifter romance that has a “daddy/little” undertone with a touch of discipline. I found the plot well-written & entertaining with interesting characters that display realistic & believable emotional feelings. It is about: a police chief & alpha (Gideon Trace) of a local pack discovers his mate (a rather naïve human female, Shasta D. Ludlow) dumpster diving looking for undiscovered treasures to continue doing her art naturally he has alternative plans in store for her future then the situation changes when she witnesses a murder. There is: a vindictive pack female (Maura), a banished ex-alpha (Maddox Trace), a caring stepfather now a pack elder (Jackson Harris), mates, mating ceremonies, action, adventure, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, deceit, betrayal, danger, threats, conflict, extreme violence, memories, discipline, spankings, vulnerability, defiance, complications, emotional turmoil, disagreements, protectiveness, contentment, love, steamy scenes & a satisfying conclusion. I suspect that there will be a sequel to this book & I look forward to it with eager anticipation.
What a storyline!! Shasta is an independent woman who has a penchant, at times, of putting herself at risk. You've heard the saying, 'One man's trash is another man's treasure'? Well, Shasta is an artist who uses what others throw away to make the sculptures she's starting to sell. The first time Gideon, chief of police and pack Alpha, sees her doing this was when he was watching an apartment complex for a friend of his. She just dove right into the dumpster in the middle of the night! When he finally catches her, Gideon realizes this little, curvy woman is his mate but he doesn't want to be like his dad. He's not going to let his primal instincts take over and not give her a choice. As the new Alpha, he's trying to set an example to the pack. He wants to woo his mate and have her choose him. Let me tell you, between the Alpha dominance, the wolf instincts, the penchant for putting herself at risk plus the danger coming from the plot that ran through the entire story all combined to make this an exciting read. I'm hoping this is the first book to a series. Hint, hint.
This is the second book that I have read from Morganna Williams and I have to say that I am starting to like the way that she writes. Perhaps I have been missing out. There are so many books in the world but it's hard to find a book that has the main characters actually dating first before things get streamy. I never thought that I would see in a book where there are a few warnings here and there. But I have to say that I really did love the flow of the story and the pacing was very well done. No part of the story felt rushed and all of it seemed to flow seamlessly. I know that I will be rereading this book in the future. It earned a spot on the shelf of books I go back to reread when I want a familiar story. I even did a a whole blog post of it. Check it out if you want to read more of my thoughts on the book.

A fabulous story. I loved these characters so much. Shasta is a free spirit who does what she wants when she wants. She is rather taken aback when Gideon puts his foot down and won't allow her to go dumpster diving anymore alone. This is a story that will make you laugh out loud, smile and shake your head at her shenanigans. You will not want to put it down.
The interaction between Gideon and Shasta were absolutely wonderful. The characters are well written and interesting, the storyline is full of twists and turns.
I loved this story. It's very well written and described. So easy to read. All the characters are very real and rounded. I loved sassy and strong Shasta, she really needed strong and sexy Gideon. Their chemistry is off the charts. There are plenty of hot spicy sexy scenes and spankings. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. I am delighted that I read it as it's a very enjoyable read.
This story has everything. Dominance, suspense, romance, and a happily ever after with room for more stories in this world. If you love your Daddys werewolf style and a very creative Little, then this is the story for you.
She finds junk in the dumpsters and he is a sheriff and a daddy. The storyline was super and exciting. The chemistry was sizzling and I enjoyed how they got together. Funny in places.
Morganna Williams is rapidly becoming one of my favorite writers. She combines humor, heat and heart into a seamless concoction of fun and suspense. This is my third book by this author and I can attest to her versatility. Gideon, the alpha of his wolf pack, meets artist, Shasta, when she is dumpster diving for material. His Wolf immediately recognizes Shasta as his mate. However, forces within and without his pack, are determined to keep the pair separated or worse. This rollicking book ends on a happy note but with those dark forces still active. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next story.

Shasta is a short human Helion was dumpster diving Gideon was patrolling the area when he caught the pheromones and just knew she was his mate but then there's the wolf Maura who swear she will be Luna and Gideon's mate who cooks up a scheme to get rid of Shasta

I really liked this story! It has romance, sex, a mean girl, a bit of danger, and a happy ending. There is also the hint of a story line that will continue through a series, so I hope there are other books!
I read this through KU and I might buy it. It seems to be the first in a series. It does have a bit of steamy scenes 🔥🔥🔥which I love, but I know some people don’t, so if that isn’t to your liking then you should pass up this book. It is a Daddy Dom but doesn’t have age play just punishment/funishment. I do like some traditional fore.play mixed into s.e.x.y times but this is mostly spanking fore.play only and Knotting. It doesn’t take long for the H/h to get together which I liked👍🏻 the rest of the story was more about the plot. He knew what he wanted and she didn’t need much convincing😉. It has action, romance, steamy scenes. multiple POVs and not just the H and h. I was kinda hoping for better retribution to the bad guy K. But I am bloodthirsty😜. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I liked this book. It had a little bit of everything. Love, steamy scenes and some relationship angst. It also had a touch of paranormal, shape shifters. I would recommend this book.
This is a knotty (!) story with very strong characters featuring a dumpster diving artist and a whole police department of wolf shifters. Shasta is the diver, and she accidentally witnesses (audibly) a cold blooded murder. Gideon, a new age pack alpha, takes her into his protection and ultimately as his luna even though she is human. Lots of interesting twists and turns to this shifter romance including treasonous jealousy and some very graphic violence. The action is hard hitting tempered with sweet love and pack protection. The discipline is harsh, the sex is fierce and the love is all empowering. Even though we are treated to an HEA, there may yet be disaster on the horizon. 5 Star I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Shasta is one spunky and creative girl! Dumpster Diva doesn't mess around when she sees something she can repurpose into her art.
Gideon is one hot chief. And he also happens to be a wolf shifter. When he sees a little bitty thing digging through his dumpster, he had no idea what he was getting himself into.
I absolutely loved these two!!!! Shasta is feisty, quite a handful for Gideon, and he never tries to squash that side of her. He does however expect his Little girl to listen to her Daddy and when she doesn't...those are some HOT punishments.
When trouble comes knocking, the pack steps up and I am here for it!!!! Things get pretty dicey but the pack take care of their Alpha and Luna.
I'm crossing my fingers that we see more from this pack.
