Included in this boxed set:
Pennies Once upon a time, I was an eighteen year old psychology student. Now, I’m a man’s property. Stolen and sold, I’ve been decorated in bruises since the day my world changed two years ago. I suffer in silence, I crave freedom, but I never break. I can’t. Until he arrives. Elder Prest, the only man to look at me and see me. The only man more ruthless than my owner.
Dollars Once upon a time, I was a mute captive who wished for death. Now, I’m stowed away on a yacht. Saved and taken, the thief who stole me demands my voice, my past, my everything. I won’t give in. But Elder refuses to take no for an answer. He pushes and cajoles, slowly discovering who I am. Until I find out he plays the cello to escape his demons, all while his music conjures mine.

Triggers Involved : Rape and Torture (not by the H)
Plot Summary : Pim had a simple life until it was all destroyed. Taken and sold, all she knows is pain now. The only things she has control over now is her voice. And she refuses to give that to her captors. That is until she meets Elder. His intelligent eyes look straight through her and she knows that he might be the most ruthless thing she has ever encountered. She believes she has nothing to give him but a part of her knows that if she lets him, this man will break whatever is left of her.
Overall Opinion : This Volume includes the first three books of the series. It's full of pain and so much suffering. All of peppers books have tins of triggers so please proceed with caution with this one.
Elder and pim have a take that is not for the faint hearted people. They have an HEA but the path to it is gruesome. The books end on a cliff hanger and I would suggest that you have all the books nearby because this author has some deadly cliffhangers.
Pepper's books are dark but they have such deep angst and emotion that you can't help but be sucked into them. I love them so much for that reason alone. Her heroes are never heroes to begin with but the transition is what entrances me the most. I would highly recommend this series to all the dark romance lovers out there!
Volume 1 of the Dollar Series was spectacular! Pennies This is my second reading of this book and it still devastates me and shatters the realm of hope. Poor Pim, she wishes for her nightmare to be over, either Alrik kills her or a white knight rides to her rescue, but if hope was pennies she would be a millionaire. Sadly Master A does not tire of her and a dark knight rides in, not to save her, but to use her like everyone else, and then leave her in her misery. Elder is dark, deadly, and drawn to Pimlico, but he is not there to take her away, he is not the shining knight she hoped for. Fabulously written story making me breathless and keeping me glued to the very end! Dollars I forgot how emotionally draining and heart palpitation invoking these stories were! Poor Pim, just when I thought she was finally in a good place, with a good man, she develops a whole other set of problems... like who is she now? She was someone with HIM, but now with Elder, she does not know her place and who she is supposed to be. But then there is poor Elder, while fighting his own inner demons and past misgivings, he is trying to figure out the best way to make Pim see herself, how he sees her. Pepper Winters writes these stories that stick with the reader, making them riveted and immersed in the words she pens, leaving them captivated and absorbed until the last page!
Pimlico has been a slave for about 3 years. She was abused by her "master." Pim decided that her way to survive was to be mute by choice. This angers her captor. He uses pain and hurting her in any way to get her to use her vocal cords.
Elder likes to control. In many ways, he himself is a master. But he not like Pimlico's abuser. In fact, Elder is intrigued by Pim's mutism. He sees her speak with her eyes, facial expressions, her body language - something her master cannot.
Where her master has failed, Elder has succeeded. This makes Pim frustrated because she doesn't understand how it is that she communicates to Elder.
Though, Elder exercises control in all things: he cares for Pimlico. He treats her with kindness. All he wants is for her to speak. With her voice. To use her vocal cords once more. To repair, to some extent, what has been broken in her.
It's safe to say that their relationship goes beyond what words could describe.
Pennies (Dollar Series 1) Wow! Gritty, and twisted in a captivatingly written story that only Pepper Winters can conjure in that gifted mind of hers! My heart ached for Pim (Pimlico). And what about Elder Prest....my curiosity is piqued. Mind blown and the series is just starting!
Dollars (Dollar Series 2) The outstanding story continues with the emotional and intriguing heartbreaking events. Pim is recovering from all she went through for two years and suspicious but slowly evolving. The enigmatic, mysterious Elder is a complicated character that I want to know more about and can’t wait for book 3!
The thing I love about Pepper Winters is that she creates characters that feel like real people. They are multi-faceted, flawed, and yet they still feel redeemable and you root for them to have a happy ending despite everything she puts them through in her novels. This is the first 2 books in the dollar series and it starts out in a very dark place. It may not be a love story for every audience, but I enjoyed seeing Pim begin to recover and her strength is beyond what I could ever imagine. I can't wait to see where they end up in the next 3 books.
I didn't know where this book was going to go. I didn't really read any reviews about it, I thought the one 20 second clip I saw was enough to entice me to read it, and I'm glad I did! This book is a roller coaster of emotions.
Pennies This is dark, and there's a warning, and you should heed the warning if you're bothered by these kinds of topics. This isn't happy, there isn't a definite ending, although I feel like there is an ending and a slight tease leading up to the next book.
This story is about Pim and how she gets thrust into a new life she didn't ask for. I liked it, and I don't want to post any spoilers, so let me just say I'm really excited for the next book and to learn more about the characters. There's a comment at the beginning of the book that people aren't who they seem, and I love a good mind fu**. Bring it!
What I liked: Pim's perseverance What I didn’t like (and yet did like): So many questions!!! I need more now!!!
Writing Style (POV) First Person, dual POV Grammar: Fantastic Dialogue: Lots of internal dialogue, and it was crazy and broken, but it needed to be!! Sexual Content: It doesn't specifically describe any sex acts, but there is mention of rape, assault, and mistreatment. Level of Violence: Lots of violence and mistreatment of Pim, and some gory scenes at the end. Cliffhanger? More like a lead-in to the next book. Series? yes, a 5 book series Will I Recommend This Book? Yes Recommend The Author: This was my first book by the author, and I can't wait to read more!
Dollars I love Pepper Winters' writing. It's so descriptive, and relatable. I love books where I get to watch characters grow and develop, and I can't wait to see Pim grow. Elder has his own issues, but he's trying to let Pim heal. My favorite scene in the book was Pim in the storm by herself. Pim is becoming a different person, and I love that she is changing for herself by herself. I'm addicted and I can't wait for more Pim & Elder!!!

The first two stories of the Dollars series now available together in this boxed set - and this is everything I love about Pepper Winters- her dark, intense, depraved, and provocative storytelling you that makes you her captive.
Pim has been living in a tortuous hell- powerless, abused, hopeless. She’s damaged, on the brink of no return. Until Elder. We see her transported from one prison to another- one a known torture, the other with Elder to be determined. Is Elder the savior? Or another master? Or, can he in fact be both?
Poor Pim- what a survivor. Every time I think there’s no going back for her, she’ll be fully broken, she proves me wrong. She finds power in her own subversive ways, holds on to aspects of herself the best she can. She might not be free, but she finds small moments of autonomy that sustain her. First in her voice, then in her complicated dynamic with Elder. Elder, the delightful enigma with his own demons. A man with secrets, a man battling himself. In the way Pim captures our hearts and empathy, Elder has my curiosity. I want to know and expose him fully, and I have a feeling Pim will inspire more in him as this series progresses. He pushes and challenges her- but something in her pushes him, too. And it will all come back to trust- can Pim trust her new captor?
Pepper is such a master storyteller. With beautifully scribed prose, she always transports us into worlds dark, delicious, depraved and so vivid. The way she opens her characters’ hearts and psyche to us. She puts them through so much pain, endless obstacles, all to give us a raw and unflinchingly visceral look at who they are- and then she unravels them for us completely in their pain and torment.
Gripping, intense, depraved, and beautiful- this series will consume you, leave your reeling, and craving more. You won’t be able to stop with one story- you’ll ravenously read the entire series in one go- and you’ll still be thirsty for more of the Pepper Winters dark magic.

There are some serious triggers in this book but THIS BOOK IS SO WORTH READING IT...its a journey of healing and finding yourself in the midst of chaos. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this Box Set.
Silence and hope are strong motivators Pennies - Tasmin is abducted from her Mother’s charity function, renamed Pimlico and sold to Master A, Pim’s worst nightmare, but she survives by keeping her silence, writing to No One and hope. Enter Elder and Pim’s hope sees a light that burns out. Yet Elder’s demands to spend a night alone with Pim is short-sighted though he discovers one of her secrets, but causes deep consequences for Pim. When Elder reads Pim’s secrets in the car, will it be enough to give him a conscious to rescue Pim from her fate? Is Elder truly the hero? You are left with a cliffhanger.
Dollars – I loved reading “Life after Alrik” for Pim who thought she would die in her captivity. Yet, Pim is troubled by so many triggers and struggles how to fit in to being somewhat free. I find Pim’s trust irresistible in Elder and especially how the storm that changed everything between them was both breaking and freeing to Pim.
An incredibly intense and captivating read that will have you hooked from the first page. This series is a powerful love story that delves into dark and often challenging themes, making it a difficult yet profoundly compelling journey. The author's writing is masterful, weaving a narrative that is both heart-wrenching and deeply emotional. The characters are well-developed, with their intricate relationships and personal struggles drawing you into their world.
This series is not for the faint of heart and it's important to pay attention to the trigger warnings as it explores sensitive and heavy topics. However, the depth of the story and the raw emotions make it an unforgettable experience. I found myself staying up way into the next day, unable to put it down, and I don't regret a single moment. The "Dollar Series" is a testament to the power of love and resilience in the face of adversity, making it a must-read for those who can handle its intensity.
Pepper Winters is one of my go to authors, she has the ability to break me and then rebuild me. This, like all of this author's books, is an emotional tale. The plot is well crafted and it is so easy to lose yourself in the lives of the characters the author creates thereby bringing everything to life. I would say that you have to be prepared for some gut wrenching moments, so if rape and abuse are triggers for you maybe look elsewhere, however if you enjoy your literature on the darker side dive right in. I'm not going into detail of what happens, that's all in the blurb, however from a personal perspective I found reading both the Indebted series and Monsters in the Dark prior to this you will recognise some of the characters. That said, you will lose nothing if you just read this story as it is outstanding in its own right.
This is really hard to review as I love Peppers style of writing, her topics, her storyline’s and her characters but this one is taking me a bit longer to fall in love with. I read Goddess Isles and fell hard straight away, this is more of a slow burn.
After receiving so much abuse from her previous master, I understand that it would be hard for the heroine, Pimlico, to trust but the hero, Elder, has proven over and over that he’s not like Alrik. The two steps forward, three steps back is a little wearing. A little appreciation wouldn’t hurt, a small smile even for god sake.
We find out more about Elder by the second book and he’s a lot more endearing than in the first. I feel frustrated for him and can’t wait to see if they get their happy ever after.
A very dark read which, although a slow burn, it’s still a page turner that keeps me wanting to see what happens to them.
This series of books is a beautifully written, darkly intense masterpiece of emotion. I devoured these books, losing sleep in the process, because I could not put them down. I was captivated by this dark story full of pain, torment and struggle. Pim has been living in hell with no hope for any redemption, praying for death. Until Elder appears, but will he be her savior or another villain? This series is one of my all times favorites. Pepper Winters has an amazing ability to unveil her character’s very soul with her beautiful writing. I can’t recommend this amazing series highly enough. You need to start it today!!
Not sure what I read! I am so emotional right now. Pim just takes my breath away. She is dealt such a terrible hand, but she is still so strong. This first volume really sets up the story, takes you on a roller coaster ride and leaves you with a little hope in your heart. I was sent a copy and I am choosing to leave my honest review.
Pennies and Dollars:After two years in captivity Pim was rescued by Elder Prest. But instead of setting her free he kept her for himself. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Pepper Winters is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books. Can't wait for the next book.
The plot is unpredictable, the behaviour of the characters, too. At one point I had to skip a scene because it was too gruesome and I was too stressed out about what would happen to FMC.
The character development, the thought processes, the psychology behind the characters... *chef's kiss*
Be prepared for an emotionally charged read that will suck you in and make you lose time as you will be so wrapped up in what will happen next. You will feel the heart wrenching pain of Pim's journey. Hang on tight!
I absolutely love this series. This was my third time reading it and I just love Pim's resiliency and strength. The development of the trust and relationship between Pim and Elder is amazing. I was hooked from the first book.
