Dharmify is a daily practice to clarify what matters from the unlikeliest of sources. Dive into my colorful stories to hear important lessons from drug dealers, cross cultural prison experiences, strippers, near decapitation, back breaking, butt wiping, business building, and slightly crazy adventures in India, Mexico and West Virginia. Follow my tale as I take you through the lessons of my youth. Based on elements of yoga practice, the Sikh religion and the entrepreneurial spirit, Dharmify is a simple journal technique to enhance your habits, love life, family, community and wealth any time and anywhere.
Short summary: Buy the book ! This is autobiographical, spiritual and self help.
This category of book is usually glorified positivity and out of reach concepts that look nice on a shelf but are hard to read past the second chapter, they are longed winded blah blah blah blah …blah blah
This book will not be condescending like that. The author takes you along with him like a friend.
Longer summary: Essentially Hargobind takes you through various autobiographical stories to tell you you will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration.
He shares honestly, with humor and wisdom. An incredible amount of principles are explored in this book. Read with curiosity and empathy and finally with intention to follow Dharmify.
This book was very generous, he doesn’t hold back. I loved that because it doesn’t leave you feeling like you almost had the concept but just need that nexxxtttt thing. It’s practical while still being entertaining. He shares his failures, successes, fears, and best way he’s found to move through it and save time. He explores Walking through life with two bags; Successes and Traumas.
No b.s. self exploration.
I could feel Hargobinds energy reading this and it brought me a forward moving feeling. I almost felt sad coming to end of the book.
Random side note: one of stories that I literally laughed out loud reading was the enlightened Guru in India liking Baywatch “underwater scenes”. I lived in a conservative Middle Eastern country at the time and Baywatch was indeed the most watched show in the world! No internet, just impromptu satellites everywhere. The extremely conservative culture would all sit around to watch and comment they loved it because “the beaches in America look nice” … jokes 😂
Hargobind has a way of capturing the reader from the beginning. I finished the book in a day because I could not put it down. His life experience birthed an amazing technique he calls Dharmify to help you find contentment in life. It can be used for any aspect of one’s life. I’m grateful for the tools in this book.
Most insightful, honest, and hilarious book I’ve had the pleasure of reading in a long time. Harg has quite the story, and I’d advise you read it to learn from his mistakes, and build your own future.
