"This book, these poems, leave me speechless; they are explicitly political, proudly feminist, and as beautiful as words can be; they strike me as something close to the embodiment of energy, catching you up, whipping you away in a whirl of image and idea."-- The Nation "Powerful in their beauty and mystery."-- Library Journal

Not much to say of this poetry book from the 90’s. Enjoyed it but was never overly impressed. A few standouts made this worthwhile. I like David’s voice but I wish the form varied a bit more from poem to poem.
