This story is a masterfully written emotionally gripping story that takes you through the full range and thoughts and feelings as the ELH deal with tragic loss and the desire for revenge. As good of a tale of grief, loss, revenge and healing as you will ever find.
This is a well told, action.packed.emotionally solid story. The author knows how to describe dynamic combat. And he uses it in the.service of characters who have deep emotional stakes in the events.Vengeance vs duty. I recommend this highly.
It was 25 pages of good story, followed by 29 pages of the same crap at the end of every book. A glossary of terms is should never be considered story line. Especially when it's been the same for almost 20 years.
As far as novellas go, this one's crazy short. It's practically just two battles in a particular event and not much else. It's pretty well-written and I enjoyed the encounters on their own. But the overal brevity of this works against it.
