Doubt is a habit. You aren’t born a doubter. You learn to doubt over time, after being hit with the injustices and instability of this world. In this book, I’m going to try to help you go back in time…and regain what you lost. The wonder of faith is a pure thing—a childlike thing—and it’s the only thing that works to access God and draw in what you really want. He doesn’t respond to need. He doesn’t respond to begging or pleading or wishing. God responds to faith. Doubt has roots. From the beginning of my walk with God in 1974, I decided that if I was going to be a “believer,” then I was going to believe. I had a lifetime of doubting people behind me—but I learned in the Bible that God is not a man that He should lie. I also learned that the roots of doubt must be pulled up in order to make way to receive from God. I began a new way of thinking all those years ago that I am still using today. It’s brought me joy. It’s brought me success over the many challenges I’ve had. And it’s brought me great favor and full peace in a world filled with trouble. Doubt isn’t what you think. It’s not a passing thought. It’s not pondering the Word of God or reasoning with God, or even with others. Doubt is an inner-lifestyle choice—a bad habit of taking your own word over God’s, your thoughts over God’s, and putting more stock in the words of others over God’s, too. That’s not what living a successful life as a believer is all about! In this book, I hope to help you shut doubt down and develop a mindset that sees God’s truth as bigger than the doubts of the mind…or anything else. Whatever you do consistently becomes a habit. Yesterday is done, today is here, and tomorrow is coming—the lessons in this book are some of the most important ones I’ve gathered about the nature of doubt, where it came from, and how to stop letting it sway you in life. If you are ready to get back to a place of childlike wonder and to learn how to use the authority God has given you over your own mind, there is no better time than now. Start fresh today. More peaceful, joyful, favored, and blessed days are available, and, like me, you’ll see them come as you develop a habit of never learning to doubt.– Jesse Duplantis
He knows the word, prays and knows God. I have been watching Jesse since I've been a Christian, that's a while. I recommend this book for everyone. He tells it like it is and loves the Lord so much. I saw Jesse once in Georgia, it was great and said he paid for the rental that night for the event. Great man who loves the Lord. Thank you Jesus for Jesse.
He looks like a sheep, but underneath, he is a ravenous wolf! It's all phony. He is deceiving God's people. Read KUNDALINI WARNING - Are False Spirits Invading the Church? By Andrew Strom. God showed me that Word of Faith is operated by the Kundalini spirit. Jesse is a false prophet. This is a powerful spirit. It's a test. Read your bible. Kundalini twists the Word of God. Word of Faith tells you you need to tithe in order to be blessed. But where should you tithe? Is it definitely Jesse? Do you believe in the fruits of their ministry? So he can get even richer while you stay poor. Does he not know what he is telling you is a lie? Or it's always God's will to give you wealth and health. What about Job? His story is our story, that we will lose things in this life. Doesn't mean we don't have enough faith. Read Jesus Goes To McDonald's by Luiz Alexandre Solano Rossi. Having a great life is a lie. When you become a Christian, the devil is after you. Everyday a battle, not a cushion. Or not to question those in positions of spiritual power. Yet Paul called out false teachers! Word of Faith movement is a bunch of garbage. If you accept it, you will, like me, have years of struggle, where you are looking for a "sign" God is with you. The only sign is His Word! They talk about not being "religious," as if an empty undiscerning mind ready to accept false doctrines is the Way to accept God. You must hold on to the true doctrine. Matthew 24:10-13 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Once saved, always saved is a lie. To be saved, you must confess you are a sinner, that you put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior and will submit to Him in all things, including every part of your life, and with His help, that you will stop sinning. The deception here is really great! The manipulation is subtle, but with the Holy Spirit's help you can detect it. Truth mixed with lies is LIES. The positivity, the blabbing out promises without faith, the holding God hostage- Sure you can hold God hostage, but will He really find no falsehood among you? Joel Osteen is bewitching you, and lulling you to sleep. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB4QF.... See if these teachings really stand up to the light of the Word of God.
I recently finished reading "I Never Learned to Doubt: Lessons I've Learned about the Dangers of Doubt and the Freedom of Faith" by Jessy Duplantis, and I must say it was an eye-opening read that hit close to home for me.
Duplantis uses personal anecdotes and biblical stories to explore the dangers of doubt, such as how it can lead to fear and insecurity.
What I appreciated most about this book was Duplantis' honesty and vulnerability in sharing his first encounter with God, and his response had me in belly-rolling laughter.
Overall, I highly recommend "I Never Learned to Doubt" to anyone who has struggled with doubt and unbelief. It's a delightful and thought-provoking read that will leave you feeling encouraged and inspired. After reading "I Never Learned to Doubt", I finally found answers to questions I had grappled with for a long time—the book's blend of personal stories and philosophical insights made for an engaging and well-rounded read. What stood out to me was the author's honest and vulnerable approach to the dangers of doubt, which challenged the idea that we were called to treat faith like some mental exercise. I highly recommend this thought-provoking and inspiring book to anyone who has struggled with doubt, fear, and unbelief, regardless of their background or beliefs. Its wisdom and insights will undoubtedly stay with you long after completion.
I loved this book and highly recommend it. He’s an excellent speaker too and you can just hear God’s delight in what this child of His is doing. Share the gospel. Share your faith. Philemon 1:6 says that our faith becomes effective when we acknowledge every good thing in us in Christ Jesus. That means you’ll walk by faith when you know who you are, whose you are, and all that you’ve been given. Christ in me the hope of glory. Faith > Doubt
This book by Jesse Duplantis has given me much to think about on the topic of doubt. I’ve been Christian for almost 50 years now and I’ve never thought about putting doubt out of my mind the way Jesse has brought it about. I’m very glad I don’t doubt the fact thatI love Him and I want to please and follow Him through his Gospel.
As usual, Jessie’s way of expressing his faith in God is so awe inspiring. This book helped me to truly rely and trust God’s Word for He said it. Thanks Mr Duplantis for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us.
A profound lesson by a man who walked in the flesh as much as anybody could and ignored God until by prayer of his wife and his mother he came to know the grace of our Lord.
I love to watch Jesse Duplantis preach! Why would I doubt he would write a great book as this? I really enjoyed this Bible based book! Very well written reasons to NOT doubt God’s Word!
This book has been a great encouragement to me as I evaluate my behaviors and comfort in making doubt my go to safe place. Faith is growth! Doubt is a thief and distraction from a healthy relationship with Christ!
This book reminds us that we get to choose our thoughts and our words daily. Doubt is a choice! Fast flowing and easy to read. I've read it twice and will read it again.
