i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Protect and Serve series. In this book, Logan was undercover but his cover was blown and he is hiding in a small town and working for the sheriff department until the case is over. He moved into a small house next door to Kelly and she has noticed him and watches him. When they met, Kelly invited him to dinner as the urging of her sister. Kelly was getting over a bad relationship and wasn't really interested in getting serious with anyone again, but her mother and sister talked her into dating Logan. When they had their date, they both had an amazing time until they were interrupted and Logan had to leave. Logan began to worry being with Kelly would put her in danger and he tried to distance himself, leading Kelly to think he lost interest. I really liked Logan, i think he was a good guy, but he lost himself being undercover. I think Kelly had to learn to trust him and talk to him about her fears. I like the epilogue included, it gave a good ending.

This is Kelly and Logan's love story she's tired of her family setting her up on bad dates so when her mom suggest she take the new neighbor her famous lasagna she can't believe he looks even better close up, he's an under cover Police Officer hiding out in the small town till the bad guys are charged.

I would recommend this book for mature readers only (sexual content) that enjoy reading stories that are a combination of funny, steamy, and romantic.

4.5 stars - This quick read had a bit of potential danger with an undercover officer hiding across the street from our leading lady. I enjoyed the story overall and was pleased with the way it was wrapped up.

Very rushed. Things were mentioned but not fully explored. Would have been better as a full length with the things hinted at. Also Insta love wasn't that believable
