If you were perhaps just coming out of a 20 year coma and wanted to understand how the internet and email were created and read reams about the studies of said subject, then this book is for you.
As pleased as I was to receive a book direct from the publisher - and one which I had hoped would light a fire in me to use email marketing with my own small business, I was quite bored. Overwhelmed by too much information (way TOO MUCH) and underwhelmed by the ease of reading and layout. On the outside, the book itself is a clean looking guidebook, feels good in your hand. Inside, the text is way too small and there is so much of it, it makes the pages appear daunting to read. Once in, it reads like a very in-depth text book and not an easy how-to book. Maybe I am too much of a layman, if so I apologize.
This is a title from the Goodreads Giveaway Program. I received it on April 26, 2010.
The cover and title seem well thought out and maybe that's what got me to pick it up in the first place. I didn't like this title.
I think I was expecting something different although I cannot quantify that because it has been laying around for a while. It is written tediously and I find I can only read, like, a page before I put it down again. After, say, fifty pages I gave up.
As much as I hate for that to happen, I have to move on. There is so much out there to read. Apologies to the authors.
