He’s an alien monster king. And he is in a very bad mood.
King Brawn just crash-landed on the Santa Monica Pier and took out the ferris wheel, which left his ship in tatters.
I’m a negotiator for the LAPD. First on scene. I’m the one who is supposed to calm him down long enough for the military and feds to stop arguing about who has jurisdiction and who gets to try to kill him first.
His life is on the line, and mine is too. I’ve seen too much. They’ll take me out with him. Destroy us both. Cover it up. Call it a day. But that’s not how it plays out.
I’m the one who saves him. I’m the one who gets alien abducted. I’m the one who falls for this brutal alien king. I’m the one who lets him seduce me. I’m the one. His one. Forever
Amazon Top 100, USA Today bestselling, and #1 bestselling author in multiple Amazon categories, Loki Renard writes sizzling hot, occasionally dark and twisted stories of dominance, submission and discipline.
Another alien king (Brawn); another abducted human woman (Ariel); another spaceship voyage.
This is hard to rate because while I really liked the beginning, the middle and end went off the rails as Ms. Renard's books tend to do. Sometimes this doesn't bother me; other times it does -- this falls in the latter category. It's particularly too bad because I really liked the Ariel we meet in the beginning. A dedicated policewoman (not sure how old she is, but not as young as these h's usually are), she saves Brawn's life when his ship crash lands into the Santa Monica Pier. Indebted to her and worried about her safety, he abducts her and, at that point, she undergoes a complete personality change to the point where her character was incoherent.
I did like Brawn, who was less angry and more cerebral than past "kings" have been; I appreciated the discussions of mental health; and I loved the usual snarky pop culture references ("he grips me under the arms and holds me aloft like that scene in the movie where all the prey animals celebrate the birth of an apex predator"). But I preferred the mature, level-headed, brave, and insightful woman to the lobotomized sex toy Ariel was by the end.
Miss Renard is a spectacular author and remarkable storyteller! The characters are engaging with a sense of honor. It was a really intriguing and stimulating read! I really love this series and I know you will too. I recommend any book by this author but if you like it all with all the feel goodies this series and book is for you! It is hotter than the sun!

Wow. Phenomenal story, truly! I love Loki Renard’s books, especially the science fiction because the aliens are always so interesting. The universes she creates are unparalleled. At this point I must sound like a broken record, but this one might be my favorite (sorry, Konan!). King Brawn is devastatingly handsome and physically imposing, but it’s his physiology that makes him such an incredible creature. Of course he’s arrogant and domineering, but also kind, perceptive, compassionate, and dare I say - gallant? To date I don’t think we have met a more likable king. After his intergalactic shortcut goes awry, King Brawn finds himself injured and stranded on Earth with nothing but a cynical, recalcitrant cop standing between him and an army. King Brawn feels obligated to protect Ariel as she protected him, so he beams her up. Here we see a broken, imperfect heroine do the saving before she is saved; a swoon worthy but also imperfect hero who still has a lot to learn; and some familiar razor-sharp faces as worlds literally collide in a beautifully written, epic adventure. Wonderfully done!
The hero in this book crash lands on Earth. She is a police officer and they are planning to kill him (without even talking to him first). She tries to protect him and tells them not to shoot him.
He is rescued by his people and takes her with him since she saved his life.
The heroine suffers from depression. The hero doesn't have any human food on the ship and the nearest space station to buy some is also far away.
SPOILER SPOILER PSOILER SPOILER SPOILER
He is part plant so he tells her his bodily fluids from his genitals can be food for her and it's the only thing on the ship to eat. She refuses and 4 days later after being very hungry she finally eats from him.
Unfortunately what they don't know is it is addictive and now she's a drug addict. She gets kidnapped by other aliens who said he was not taking good care of his human (the Scythkin). They cure her of the addiction and give her real food.
The King comes to rescue her because he loves her. He buys her real food and they live happily ever after. He also apologizes because he didn't know his fluids were so dangerous to her.
A good story, easy to follow, I enjoyed the characters, especially Ariel, she was easy to connect with. I actually wanted to leave a 3.5 star rating, but that's not possible, so I grade it on a curve. There are more positive than negative points to this book. She begins as a strong and brave female who stands up for what she believes in, and that's cool. The plot was interesting but there were parts that dragged. There was a lot of action throughout the story, but I also skimmed through some excessively long and preachy inner monologues. King Brawn was a thin character, I didn't feel a connection with who he was and then I was surprised at how the heroine seemed to devolve before there is a surprise salvation moment with a return of some unlikely heroes. I am a fan of Loki Renard, I appreciate the work she does, this one is just not one of my complete favorites but is still a decent book to read!
So I don’t know if this book is just dumb or I am insane for reading it to the end. I guess I kept hoping it would get better. Snarky Female cop abducted by a giant green alien who turns out to be a lost king. Not a bad start but then it spirals into a plot of deep reflection about how her insecurities need her to be dominated and spanked. I think I was resigned that this was not going to get better when it was discovered they had no food for her to eat and the king got very inventive on what she was fed. Mating was just painful to read, let alone thinking too hard about it. Alien ten foot tall green lizard? with multiple sex organs? size description had me wincing and just saying, um not only no but he double hockey sticks no. Didn’t Vlad the Impaler kill people with tree trunks up the...yeah. Overall weird and pretty sure this one will have me walking funny for sympathy although I just read the story. Happy reading.
King Brawn made a wrong turn. He crashed into a Ferris Wheel and now is in need of a rescue. UGH! Ariel is a cop who saw it all. It certainly wasn’t a stunt show. She gets up and close with the huge alien. When it looks like the military isn’t going to great him but blow him to bits, she takes a stand. But SWOOP and she is in another place. Should she be scared? Nope. Ariel is tough or is she?
Brawn may be tough but he sees Ariel and all her feelings. It was a bit odd that the “protein shake” that she had to consume was from the source. She, at first, tried to hold off but you can’t stay not “eat.” Than everything just got crazy. Our old friends come back into play, Karen and even the Zoo. All that said, Brawn truly cares for Ariel and she so needed some to take care of her and love her. I wonder who will be next to find love.

I really enjoy Loki Renard's books. I have been reading her alien SFR for a while not. As this series continues, I keep finding myself more lost with how these stories develop. This book looked very promising as it had a very interesting premise. Ariel is cop who sees the need to assist an injured alien, who turns out to be King Brawn. Her heroics and concern for him were genuine given that she is a cop but once Brawn takes her things change quickly. I felt that there was something missing between the two that could have explained their coming together better. It felt very rushed into and somewhat lacking. The steamy scenes were great but not enough to make it feel like a satisfying story. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Another fun filled hot and steamy entertaining sci fi Royal Alien read with all little twists that I just love... Ariel is disillusioned with life as a cop and an Alien King who takes a short cut only to crash land through a Ferris wheel...only to be swept off the planet when King Brawn’s people comes to rescue them in time.. The connection between these two characters as they protect and help each other is sweet, steamy and uplifting and when surprise friends of the humans the Scythkin make an appearance, it definitely makes for a surprising twist...I loved it and can’t wait for more.
This was such a fun read! It's also a rather quick read it. I was able to finish it in a few hours, which was good since I didn't want to put it down. This story is part of the Royal Aliens series and focuses on King Brawn and Officer Ariel. Ariel is broken and beat down, but she's also defiant and generous. She takes her oath to protect literally, and is willing to stand up to her superiors. Brawn is a king, so he's used to being obeyed. They are both in for some surprises, and an adventure that's filled with humor, passion, and a dominating alien with some extra bits. This story was a nice blend of sexy, sweet, silly, and some scythkin.
A huge, unexpected crash into an earth Ferris Wheel on a pier is survived by an exceptionally large green alien. Ariel is the female police officer who observes the collision. She walks over to the strange vehicle and discovers a hurt and angry alien, King Brawn. Ariel puts her own life a risk in order to protect the alien. To save her from harsh repercussions, Brawn takes her with him when he is rescued. He wishes to reward her for her “heroism;” instead he is forced to punish her for her aggressive disobedience. But, that is just the beginning. This story is full of discovery, caring and excitement. Leave it to Loki to show us how protective and loving aliens can be.
I love, absolutely love these Royal Aliens and they are unexpecting human mates!! King Brawn literally plows into a Ferris wheel and that sets the whole comedic tone for the story. He is as possessive and alpha as any of the other aliens but he comes across as nicer. Ariel is an officer that witnesses Brawn demolish the Ferris wheel and put her own life at risk to stick up for him. He then leaves Earth with the mouthy and sassy human in tow. He thinks he is rewarding her for protecting him but he ends up disciplining her for her willful disobedience. Will Brawn send her back when she turns out to be more than he bargained for?
King Brawn literally drops into Ariel’s life and things will never be the same again for either of them! Sit back and enjoy another wicked good, wild, fun romp in the Royal Aliens universe. Great writing, imaginative narrative, spicy romance, and surprise appearances by my all time favorite Scythkins' who fuel the recipe for even further humorous shenanigans. Great read and highly recommended! HEA

Ariel is a cop, parked on the Santa Monica Pier with her partner just waiting for the end of their shift. That is until they watch the ferris wheel explode....from a spaceship!
King Brawn is a large green space alien who was just taking a shortcut, yet finds himself in the care of a human.
Once King Brawn's crew rescue them, the real fun begins. We get a ball pit, star ray consumption, daise juice, and of course a visit from the scythkin.
Loki never fails to give us alien species we could never even imagine.
This is another fantastic Royal Aliens story by Loki Renard. The way it starts, with King Brawn plowing into a Ferris wheel, is a hoot, and really sets the tone for this story. I loved the social commentary - very subversive and smirk-worthy. King Brawn, though still domineering and totalitarian, was a nicer guy than most of the other ‘Royal Aliens’. Ariel, as sassy as the other Royal ladies, is a little darker and a little more broken. I really enjoyed their story, and I can’t wait for the next one in the series, ‘Bad Alien Boss’.
Such a fun read! Just loved Ariel and Brawn. Ariel is a cop on earth and defends Brawn after he crash lands on a pier. She is sassy, argumentative, stubborn and as Brawn learns equally frustrating and amazing to him. I loved their banter as they grow over time. Though Brawn knew he had to keep her and despite a kidnap, they get their HEA. Kinda felt for the scythkin captain! :) I am sure he was glad to see the back of her, even though they helped her heal. You need to read this fun story to find out, what from! I so enjoyed this and look forward to reading more by this author.
Loved the story. Saved by Ariel as the Earth army is about to kill him because he is an alien and Brawn realizes he army will likely kill Ariel in the process, so he escapes Earth with her. She is one mouthy human that Brawn loves but he has failed to tell her of his feelings. Danger is suddenly upon them and Ariel is taken. This is a great story that is full of danger and passion. It is well written, highly entertaining and full of laughs. It is definitely worth reading and I would highly recommend it. I received a free copy of this book and are voluntarily leaving a review.
I have to admit that I really enjoyed this story. I found Ariel truly hilarious with her antics and her really strong sense of right and wrong. She wasn't one of these meek heroines who just sort of goes along with it all while hating it during her inner monologue but actuallly does nothing against it and in the end just accepts everything. King Brawn, love him! He is just an honourable male really trying to also do the right thing. Teach him to take a shortcut won't it although it brought him his mate so maybe fate had a reason for it? Either way a great, fun story.
This book 4 in the Royal Aliens series has strong characters with hot Dark Alien romance story that is a unique, addicting, and worth it. It has very well-thought out scenes, characters, and storyline. These entertaining characters have strong wills, personalities, and believable interactions. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists, turns, adventure, action, love, steam and a HEA. A must read

This was a fun read. I have not read the previous book in this series but I was drawn to this one after reading the blurb. I'm on the fence about King Brawn. I thought it was great to have this strong female lead in Ariel and quiet funny to have our male hero in peril. I think it was an enjoyable read, lots of action - and of course lots of heat. Great story and I'll be sure to check out the others in this series.

This is another fantastic story filled with sexy aliens, action, suspense and a whole lot of highly erotic moments. King Brawn and Ariel are great characters that kept me laughing and entertained with their interactions and banter. Ariel is a whole lot of trouble in one little package. But King Brawn knows just how to keep her disciplined and sort of out of trouble!
I loved this story and I can’t wait for more alien adventures.
This is totally one alien world but with a touch of human-ess. The story is told on a lighthearted manner but deep philosophical thoughts were inserted which makes one think. There were also little snips of humor which makes me laugh. And I never expected to find the scythkin making an appearance. I supposed I should not be surprised considering they are a part of the same universe.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were intriguing. I loved reading about Brawn and Ariels journey. As always, an excellent book in a great series by an awesome author. Loki Renard is an easy one-click choice and I’d think is on everyone’s to be read lists.
Fun, engaging and interesting characters and a storyline that keeps you flipping the pages. I adored Ariel and have a mad crush on King Brawn. Whereas I’ve reread many of this authors books, I feel this one will be a go to for me.
Great job!

An alien romance like no other. Brawn may of crashed to earth but soon he is taking his human. The story has a slight dark side to it as Brawn is quite dominant and enjoys making Ariel’s backside red. Things get dangerous for all and the heat level is very high with these two. I love how the aliens we meet are like nothing you’ve read about before. I also love the references to some of the Human Petting Zoo books.
Who but the Greatest Author Loki, who I Love dearly, could write such wonderful stories time after time 🤔 ? Every story is definitely worth reading 😄. Full of action, Romance, interesting bad guys and totally FANTASTIC characters that make you fall in Love with 😍. Thanks again Loki, you're a Awesome writer and I will ALWAYS read everything you write 🤓.
I just love this whole series. Each story is full of laughs, sexy heat, suspense, and aliens (lots and lots of aliens). King Brawn and Ariel are so much fun together. Ariel certainly knows how to stir up trouble and get what she wants. Great storyline and characters. I did not want to put this story down.
Once more we are off into the lokiverse, and the usual rule applies, namely that there ARE no rules!
Hottie plant men, scythkins, and a human who can mentally exhaust a scythkin all abound! Put on your seatbelts, folks, because we are going for a RIDE!
