This was an absolutely outstanding book. Whether you read the first or not, you’re still able to understand what’s happening. Don’t miss out.

I am so honoured to have received an ARC of Haven Enduring in exchange for an honest review.
First off, I would like to thank the author for doing an incredible job with the second book because this is the second time I have been able to read a second book without reading the first book and still be able to follow along. So thank you for doing a fantastic job leaving just enough breadcrumbs about what happened in the first book.
I will not lie at the beginning it was one of those books where I thought I was further along than I was, but about half way through I fell in love with the book and all of the characters.
I loved Danny's interactions in the past and learning how Kiera's mother came to be the way she did (I'm trying not to spoil things). The world building and magic system were on point and I did not want to leave the world after the book ended.
Speaking of endings, can I just say that that ending was cruel, and now I really want to know if there will be a third book because I need to know how it works and what Danny will do.
Danny was my favourite character followed by Kiera and then Cyrus because they grew the most in the book in my opinion.
I would highly recommend this book.

H. B. Reneau is a wonderful writer. The way she presents emotions, intensity, action, and character development is among the greats.
Haven Enduring presents a fallen hero, not one fallen in battle, but fallen into self hatred, and self loathing, as she mourns the death of her friends, and the death of her great love. When she discovers a way to bring back her love, she anxiously begins her research, teams up with someone who vows to help her, and even starts on journey of self-discovery. However, not all is as it seems. Soon she finds that her choices, bringing back her love, may have grave consequences. Will she bring back her love at the risk of the world? Or will she save the world, giving up her only chance of ever seeing her love again? What would you do?

One’s greatest season of growth often emerges from the depths of despair. Reeling from the loss of her grounder Danny, Keira Altman flees to the Southern Shield to fight alongside the Bellatorio and forget as much of her past as she can. Since Landry was crowned the new Regio, political unrest has permeated the kingdom, finally finding its way to the remote land where Keira has taken up residence. When an old friend arrives seeking Keira’s aid, she decides to leave her refuge after recognizing more than one opportunity to affect change. Through broken alliances, innumerable missteps, and the healing power of trust, Keira learns that what truly matters is not always what she expects.
Told from multiple points of view and across time, Haven Enduring is an elegantly presented sequel to Chaos Looming. A great deal of information is included in this story that helps readers better understand both the link between the Legion and other worlds and just how omnipresent Pneuma can be. Occasional references to the first book are included at intentional moments, reminding readers of what happened previously without hindering the pacing of this story.
H.B. Reneau uses her medical and military knowledge to craft a narrative that is compelling and believable, incorporating enough detail to be convincing without feeling onerous. Readers spend a great deal of time inside the minds of the primary characters, observing their internal conflict throughout the story. This helps ground readers in the emotional turmoil inherent to the age-old challenge of determining right from wrong as characters navigate these complex feelings themselves.
Fans of the first story will appreciate the depth of this second installment as they are embedded even more deeply into the world of Loren. As more history and backstory evolve, the book is perfectly prepared for a third installment where everything is braced to come together. The use of limited profanity and sexual references mean that this book will appeal to fantasy lovers of a range of ages. Readers who enjoy immersing themselves inside character-driven, action-packed stories will thoroughly enjoy this series.
