After a mysterious attack on Terkel’s team, he is left with a skeletal team, Tasha the hacker and Damon and Wade the other two team members with paranormal abilities. Terk needs some backup and he turns to the one person he can trust his twin brother Merk. Terk needs a hacker to work with Tasha so Merk brings Sophia to help. Sophia has worked with Tasha in the past and if Merk and Tasha trust her Terk will bring Sophia onto the team. Sophia met Wade at an IT conference and she felt a strong connection to him. Even though Wade stood her up, Sophia hasn’t been able to get him off her mind. When the opportunity to work on Terk’s team with Wade is offered to her she jumps at the chance. Wade feels a strong attraction to Sophia, but he convinced himself that he needed to walk away to protect her. Now that they are working together, will Wade be able to keep her at a distance. Sophia has to convince Wade that she doesn’t need his protection. Each book brings Terk’s team closer to finding out who was behind the attack on the team so they can take action to prevent further attacks. These books have great characters, a unique team that work together, and there is always a relationship to kindle.

Terks team is still being attacked by cyber means and they are still trying to figure out who is behind it. Wade was in a really bad way before he came out of his coma and still is trying to heal. Sophia and he met at a convention and had one night together, and now she's called in to help and wade is not happy about it. Plenty of danger, heat and suspense. HEA but the problems continue. Follow the breadcrumbs! Each book in this series sheds a little more light, or so you think, on who is behind this debilitating attach against Terkels Group. They were supposedly just being disbanded yet people are being killed, psychic attacks are occurring . Interestingly enough the internet is involved. Sophia and Wade met years ago and connected. Life gets in the way and we see Sophia fighting for her chance with Wade. Wade wanting to keep her safe and the ongoing struggle to figure out who is trying to destroy Terk's group. Is it there own government? Don't expect the answer in this book but you will find a little more information, follow the breadcrumbs, follow the series. Thank you for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

With his defences down he knows it will be impossible to keep her at arm's length a second time. So instead Wade has to bring her closer, protect her as it becomes clearer to their enemies that more than just Terk survived the attack.
I really enjoyed this story which has a great mixture of the softer relationship side of things as some great storylines around their psychic abilities and technology and how those who are after them are using them in order to try and attack and finish the job of destroying Terk and his team. I loved sassy Sophia and the way she was very forthright and not prepared to accept any excuses or brush-offs as she was strong enough to take whatever was coming at them (and in fact be a full partner in whatever they faced). Easy to read and understand, full of danger and drama plus it was easy to become invested in both the relationship between Sophia and Wade as well as the attempts on Terk and his team. Contains a little sexual content at the end of the story.

This is the second book in Dale Mayer's brilliant "Terkel's Team" series and I am loving them.
Sophia was furious and hurt when Wade failed to turn up for their date, she thought that they had something special. Sophia was working with Merk, at Levi and Sky's Texas base, when a call for help came through from Terk, Merk's twin brother. Terk was in England, Sophia knew that Wade was with Terk and that he was in danger......she didn't hesitate to volunteer.
Terk's special opps team had been working for the government but had been disbanded, they were a unique team chosen for their psychic abilities but someone had tried to wipe the team out, perhaps someone with the same gifts but who ? was it the US government ? was it a Middle Eastern government ? Terk had survived as had Damon, Wade was seriously injured but was now back in action and Gage was still unconscious.
After reluctantly leaving Sophia to protect her Wade was horrified that she would now be in danger. Sophia had other ideas, she was sassy and had been trained by the best, she and Tasha, Damon's girl, were a team of hackers to be reckoned with and they would need all their skills to keep their men safe
This is a brilliant story, it is action packed, filled with twists and turns, ultra high technology and of course the inevitable romance.
The author has obviously researched the world of the paranormal and the world of technology and it shows. This story has a happy ending with the promise of more to look forward to

This is the second book in Dale Mayer’s new series, "Terkel’s Team." Terkel’s and his team are members of a black ops group of ex-SEALS. These men, who have unusual paranormal senses and skills, were working with the government before the government suddenly terminates them and denies any knowledge of them.
As if that is not enough, group members are seriously attacked by some unknown group. Most of the group members are in comas. When they awaken from their comas, they exhibit signs of extreme lethargy, low stamina and energy. They also discover that their powers have disappeared or greatly limited. Could their enemy be the government trying to erase the men’s memories of highly secretive information? Or is it someone else with an unknown nefarious region?
Also, almost all of the team’s expert hackers and IT people were murdered. The only survivor is Tasha. Sophia, another hacker and IT expert, had an affair with Wade, one of the newly awake members of the team, before the attack. However, when he suddenly disappears without a word, Sophia uses her expertise to find Wade. She, then, chooses to join Terkel’s team.
This exciting book continues a plot that began in the first book. Only three men are alert enough to defend themselves from this unknown enemy. Even so, these men are not in good shape, and the other team members are still in a coma.
This is an action-packed story that will keep the reader on the edge of her seat until the very end. And, although, there is a long-term plot, there is no cliffhanger; each book has a beginning and an end to it.

At the end of the last book, Damon and Terk got Wade out of a dangerous situation. In the process Wade's brother, who was on the wrong side was killed. Now Wade is at their new headquarters, still weak and recovering.
Since they needed more help especially on the computer end, Terk invites Sophia from Levi's team to join them. Merk brings her in, and Wade is very surprised to see her. They have a bit of a history stemming from a conference they both attended about a year ago. They were supposed to meet for dinner, but Wade was called for a mission and never contacted her again.
There's a computer-based attack, and Sophia gets a glimpse at just what this team can do. Tasha explains that the reason they had to stop is that Wade was in there chasing and blocking the intruder.
There's a definite connection between Sophia and Wade and Sophia is determined to see where it can go. To that end when they collect her bags, she puts them in Wade's room while he's sleeping.
One of the problems they are having is getting someone alive to question. That appears to be getting worse as they actually talk to kids hired to harass Sophia when she was bringing back groceries.
Implants and drones are the weapons being used against the team, they have to find the source and shut it all down.
Lots of action, suspense and I really love the way the relationship between Sophia and Wade progresses.

This is an interesting take on a romantic suspense. One thing I will caution the reader about is these books should be read in order. They can be read as standalones, but I think you miss out on background info that may have some bearing on the current book. Take it from someone who didn't start with book 1.
Wade and Sophia were reconnecting. A second chance so to speak. From What I could gather, Sophia was not fully read into the what the team was fighting against and what special talents Terkel's team possess. I love that Sophia and Tasha are hackers, and Sophia is also a field agent.
I like the team members that I have encountered so far, but there is history that I don't completely understand. I am hoping when I read book 1 it will clear up some things for me.
I can say that this book is full of action, danger, mystery, and suspense. The whole concept of technology vs. psychic ability is intriguing. That is not to say that the team isn't using technology along with their abilities.
I also appreciated that while this is a second chance romance as well as a romantic suspense, the romance did not take over the entire book. I would say that Sophia and Wade don't exactly get an HEA, but more like a HFN sort of, lol.
Take heart, the story seems to evolve with each subsequent book. This was a fast paced, edge of your seat read. Don't follow in my footsteps. Start with Damon's Deal. Otherwise, I think you may come to regret it.

A very exciting addition to this new series! We worried and wondered about Wade’s fate in the last book, but now - He’s Back! Wade is awake, but not at 100%, and back with the few team members that have survived the recent attack.
I love the dynamics of this team, it’s unusual and intriguing. Each team member has unique skills which give them an elevated edge when fighting the enemies of this world.
I enjoyed the reunion between Wade and Sophia. The definitely have a interesting history that is effecting their working together now. Sophia wants answers from Wade about his behavior when they were together in the past and she’s not going to take no for an answer. Wade doesn’t want her involved in his dangerous lifestyle so is not in any hurry to give her any answers. In the meantime, Sophia’s hacking skills are an integral asset to the team to keep looking for their attackers and protecting each other against further attacks.
This is a well written, exciting and suspenseful story. It has you on the edge of your seat each time a team member leaves the safety of their current base, wondering if they will come back. The bodies keep piling up, the questions are never ending, and the intrigue is rampant! Great story!

Oh how I loved Sophia, after her last encounter with Wade things were left unfinished and she is determined to see what there is between them no matter how pig headed he is and thinking he knows best. Not only does she have sass but she is the perfect partner for Tasha to help with the behind the scenes work and help them all try and find out who tried to destroy the team. Wade bless his heart learns pretty quickly that he needs to work out his feelings for Sophia, but while wanting to protect her and not fully back to his old strength makes you feel the vulnerability he feels as well as want to shake him and tell him he can solve one issue easily so they can focus on the bad guy. Having Terkel's brother there to assist as well as the backing of Ice and Levi and the others is fantastic but you feel the danger everyone is in and understand while Terkel's is grateful for the help he is also torn about the danger he and the others are in due to the unknown enemy, so you get romance, danger, twists you don't see coming, loss, laughs and mystery which means you can't go wrong!

This is an exciting action packed suspense filled story of hot alpha heroes with psychic abilities that someone is trying to kill Terks team.Wade came back before he's A hundred percent but he knows that his team needs him so he will do whatever he can to help.He hates how weak he is and how right now he only has some of his abilities back.Terk said his brother Merk, is bringing a great IT person over to help Tasha.Wade asks if Term knows the person Anne says no but his brother has worked with her an she's been on several missions with Ice.when Merk walks in with Sophia he's beyond mad.He walked away from Sophia so she would be safe even though he was in love with her.She sees him she's still mad but seeing him injured she wants to put her arms around him an hold him until he is healed .He tells her to go home an she tells bingo above it she's here to help and he can just get used to it.Will they find away to fall in loveagainanmakeitwork there are so many twists an turns to this story you will be riveted until the very last page an leave you begging for more.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented autbor.

The second book in this series with Wade and Sophia, starts off with these two bickering and insulting each other. They had a “relationship” years ago and Wade ghosted Sophia and hasn’t reached out since. Once they settle down and Sophia realizes the danger Terk and his team are in, she buckles down to do what she can to stop the attacks. Now the two need to figure out where they stand in each other’s lives, Sophia will not back down so it’s up to Wade to finally let her all in.
Took me a bit of time to like Wade, he was rude, condescending, vulgar and a complete a** to Sophia when they see each other again after a year, not matter the reasons he acted the way he did…no excuse. He doesn’t redeem himself till way later in the book and they never did have their heart to heart. I liked Sophia, she had a backbone and didn’t let Wade walk all over her, she knew what she wanted and didn’t give up. Some steam, surprises, suspense and a bit more into who wants Terk’s team gone….but it’s not over yet and I can’t wait for the next one.

Wade’s shocked to see someone from his past has joined the team. He’d never reconnected with her because his job is dangerous. Seems she has a different idea on that.
Sophia has never met someone like Wade, and now that she has found him, she’s not going to give up easily. She believes he cares for her, and until proven otherwise…he will have to deal with her being around. She’s quickly learning that working on this team isn’t quite the typical job. These men have extraordinary skills.
With Wade awake, they have three men back on the team, but Wade and Damon still tire easily, and Terk is trying to keep tabs on the men still severely hurt and what’s going on. They need more help, but that’s not so easy. For now, the three of them, along with Sophia and Tasha on the computers, they continue the search for who attacked them and why. Awesome new series.

Another fast-paced full of action read. The main story is a similar with Bullard's Battle series and Man Of Steel series, but this one with supernatural and more intense, it felt like there's no rest for this team, they're always under attack and always hunting answers, it's llike they're always under pressure and also they're not functioning 100%, they're still recovering from previous attacks. The supernatural things about energy works always fascinating for me although energy works mixed with IT a bit unbelievable since I work in IT, but still it's fun to read.
As for characters. I hate the way Wade treated Sophia at the beginning and I didn't get why Sophia still hoping for Wade after what he done to her, but Wade kinda redemeed himself, and I kinda get it why he did what he did. Not my fav couple but still I enjoyed their banter.
Overall, I really really enjoyed this one, high intensity, lots of action, yup totally recommended to anyone who's looking for a fast-paced reomantic suspense read.

Wow! Technology is one thing and what these hackers can do is way beyond me, I'm a basics kind of beginner as far as anything tech. But this series goes way further than that with the team and their special qualities, which is probably why they are under attack. The physcic capabilities they posses are just extraordinary, though they can overlap to some degree each has an extra gift to go further in one direction or more. This story is as tense and action packed as the first, full of threats and worry as the few so far together fight for their and the rest of the teams survival. Every clue that is found has to be dragged to the surface, then tracked while also keeping any others out of the system. As the bad guys kill bad guys and try to kill the good guys. Confused? Boy this is intriguing, interesting and convoluted, but oh so fantastic. It's I don't want to put it down, gripping oh and you get the odd glimmer of romance as well. Freakin awesome. Terk's team has been attacked in a different way as this team is very different. Wade, a member of this team has been injured but everyone that can help is needed and he is ready to help. This is book #2 in the new series about Terk's team. Now Merk (Terk's brother) has brought in Sophia to help (Merk works for another team and has met Sophia through that team). Interesting that Wade and Sophia have a history which will play out in this book. There's a lot of history in the attack and no one is sure of the source which is examined more in this book. It's fun to combine romance and intrigue and have a story that is on going while at the same time part of the mystery is unfolding in each book. Have to add, each book is satisfying unto itself which is why I'm hooked on this series and can't wait for Book #3

But in protecting others the team has become the target, an unknown threat has already attempted to kill the team as a whole. They failed but the team are in bad shape, struggling to defend themselves never mind any more innocents. This was exactly what Wade feared the most when he met Sophia, when he walked away to keep her safe...but there are things he doesn't know about Sophia, she has mad hacking skills, but also something he needs more....
Another good book in this series, but it has a plotline that continues from book one, so you really need to have read the first book for this book to make sense. It also crosses over with a couple of other of Dale Mayer's series, which is good as it is always nice to touch base with characters from previous books/series.

Wade is awake ! He is barely standing and he definitely was not expecting to find Sophia is working with the team . They had a strong connection a few years ago but Wade was not willing to bring her into his dangerous life . Sophia has been working with Ice and Levi's team which is just as dangerous . She comes to help Wade and his team . Their connection is still strong and Wade cannot fight their relationship any longer . As danger closes in Wade and Sophia work together with the team to get to the bottom of the attacks and stop them . I really enjoyed reading this story . It is full of suspense , action and romance . I highly recommend reading .

Wade is still dealing the after affects of the attack and he is far from healed however he isn’t about to stand by and is determined to uncover who is behind it and why. The last person he expected to see again is Sophia and he can’t believe that all his attempts in the past to keep her safe has now only placed her in jeopardy.
Suspense, romance and surprises that you don’t see coming as Sophia and Wade uncover some truths but there is a lot more questions than answers.

Terkel"s team is a group of special op guys with paranormal abilities who worked undercover for the US government when suddenly they were disbanded and their special abilities attacked putting some into comas while others died. Terkel managed to maintain his abilities while sending healing energies to his team members.
Wade is the second team member to come out of a coma but with diminished abilities. Wade, Damon and Merkel are working with Tasha and Sophie, who are computer hackers, to find who attacked their group.
I am liking this series as it touches on slot of my reading preferences.

After the psychic attack on the team, Wade is still healing and helping to track down who is trying to eliminate them. Wade is surprised to see that Sophia has just been added to help. Wade would like to continue a relationship with Sophia, but he would rather keep her safe. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is an interesting story that continues the suspenseful story. Sophia is tenacious in wanting to be with Wade and her super hacking skills helps to keep the team safe. Even though Wade is still weaken from the attack, he is busy checking out the clues.

Sophia and Wade met a few years ago, they had a connection but Wade walked away without a reason. Terk's team needed help so he reach's out to Sophia. Terk has brought Sophia in to help the team out even though she has a history with Wade. After a couple hacker attacks on the team's computers, Wade remembers a name. When Tasha finds the guy's picture, Sophia remembers seeing him at the conference that Wade and her attended. Also, she remembered something about AI and some implants. Even though Wade is still recovering, he needs to go out in the field to try and track down their latest lead. More twists and turn follow, with some answers but more questions as to what is going on.

This team is made of members with talents out of the ordinary. How and why were they attacked psychically and physically. Wade has come out of his coma and is still weak and running on low energy. A blast from the past is back in his life. He didn't want her in danger but she'll make her own decisions.
As it's only book 2, we're still learning the characters, their weaknesses and strengths. They are still in danger and people are dying around them. Every time they get a clue and get closer they are in danger again.
Plenty of twists and turns in this amazing series.

The second novel in the series, and oh my gosh.. what a thriller!
Wade and the small team are still trying to defend themselves against the cyber/psychic attack on the team.
Sophia is someone Wade already knew from one night spent together. Wade stood her up for a dinner date, and she's wanted answers since that night.
Such an exciting series! Love the alpha mentality of the guys, and Wade is very much wanting to protect Sophia.. but she's no shrinking violet, and can hold her own.

The mystery continues. Wade has woken up and back with the team. They need help as most of the team is still out of commission, and they have a lot they are trying to figure out. Merk brings in Sophia, not knowing that her and Wade know each other. She has no clue what she has walked into but is happy to see him.

This is book two in Terk's series. Terk's team is still trying to figure out who attacked them. He brings in field agent and expert hacker Sophia to assist them. She has a history with Wade. Sophia is sassy and while she doesn't understand everything about the team she gives it her all for another shot with Wade. The team is trying to figure out who is behind the continuing attacks against them. It's nonstop action. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.

Wade has realized that he needs to keep her close and protected while still trying to discover what really happened to his team.
This is a good addition to the series and a quick read.
