Re-read 1: I've been on a best friend's dad kick so decided to re-read this one. Still a really enjoyable read.

I am such a sucker for a hot, possessive, older, instalove hero. Flora Ferrari certainly got me wit this one. It was a hot read and hit all the right notes for me. It’s going on my re-read shelf for sure.

Oh my word, what a superb story!

Tessa has always crushed on her best friend's Dad. From as early as she can remember, he's all she's ever wanted, but she knows he's off limits - He's her best friends Dad, for heavens sake!

Trent Tanner is a navy seal. Its all he knows, but realises that the time has come to leave that behind him & go on to pastures new.

He is looking forward to seeing his Daughter again & has arranged to meet her at the diner she works in.

When he arrives & opens the door, he is stunned. The beauty standing behind the counter has every primal need in him rising to the surface & he has to keep control.

Tessa knows that her feelings never truly went away when she sees Trent standing in her workplace, looking angrily at her. She thinks he is repulsed by her curves, when the opposite is true.

Trent knows he must have her, but when it dawns on him that this gorgeous woman is his Daughter's best friend, he knows that he should fight the feelings - but he's finding it really hard!

What ensues is a beautiful, sweet love story to melt the readers heart.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Tessa and Trent. Tessa has wanted Trent for years now. He was the man she knew she would always look to as a benchmark for all other boys. The day she learned he was getting out of the Seal's and returning home she didn't know how to feel. Part of her want him to grab her and make love to her for the rest of her life. The other part is thinking of her best friend and what this will do to her. From the moment Trent sees Tessa in the dinner he knows he has found his woman. He feels lucky because he didn't even have to look for her she was just there. Then he realizes who this angel is and he knows things just got a whole lot more complicated. Can the find a HEA or are they destined to long for one another from afar?

Amazing story by this author. This is one of those stories once you start you won't be able to put it down. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Brilliant

Tessa has had a crush on Trent for years he is Angie her best friends dad and he is now home permanently from the Seals. Tessa has had a hard time especially when her mum got ill and looked after her mum not going to college but has always loved photography and tries to get out and take as many photos as possible. What she didn’t expect is that Trent felt the same way about her but the only thing is Angie and how she will react.
Trent is home he walks into the diner his daughter works in but sees Tessa who he doesn’t recognise and he instantly knows she is the one only after he speaks to her he finds out she is his daughters best friend the last time he saw Tessa was 3years ago and was still in braces quiet shy girl but she isn’t like that now. Trent needs Tessa the next day he goes with her on a trail to take photos and he finds out more about her and then tells her how he feels and he can tell she feels the same but the big hurdle is telling his daughter and how she will react but they have a couple days together until Angie comes home.

He is just getting into town and going to meet up with his daughter who is currently working at the local diner. He walks in and sees another woman who he is attracted to instantly. This person turns out to be his daughter’s best friend since childhood, Tessa. Tessa has crushed on Trent forever but what would he want with somebody so young and inexperienced. Tessa is a would be photographer and is going hiking to get some nature photos and Trent is going along. Trent wants to now everything about Tessa. He wants her forever. Can they figure this out? Do they want the same thing? What about Tessa’s mother? Trent’s daughter? Is it even possible? Will love prevail? This is a quick little read which addresses the instant attraction, instant love theory. It also addresses the older man, younger woman.

What a great book again from Ms Flora, Trent who was with the SEALS is finally retired after years and is going home for good. One day when he comes to pick up his daughter Angela from work, he sees her standing. He knows right away that she is the one and what he has been waiting for so long. Trent is surprised to learn that it is his daughter's best friend.

Tessa, who has been in love with her best friend her father for years, does not know what happens to her when the feelings are mutual. It is a story that is pleasant to read.
The characters and characters are described wonderfully not only did I love the storyline.

If you like stories about older men and younger women then I advise you to read this story, but also the other books by Ms Flora they are great.

This steamy hot and sizzling sexy book is about recently retired Navy SEAL Trent Tanner and Tessa, the twenty-one year old best friend of his daughter Angie. Tessa may have had a crush the size of the Grand Canyon on Trent for years but he has never noticed her an anything other than Angie's best friend since first grade. But now there is a look in his eyes of possession and passion when he sees the young, curvy and virginal Tessa. Trent knows what he wants to do for his retirement and it involves Tessa and a whole lot of sexy fun resulting in babies. The only question is what will happen when Angie finds out.

This was a totally steamy book, probably the steamiest one I've read of Flora Ferrari's! Tessa has been in love with Trent for most of her life. When Trent went home and saw Tess for the first time in 3 years, he fell instantly in love. Their love story was sizzling hot enough to melt your panties off, and his conviction that she was "the one" was passionate! They will have to deal with telling their families about their relationship and hope that things work out. I thought this story was quite romantic in many ways, and as always, enjoyed the epilogues.

He's hit with lightning and can't believe that he's finally found his future. Tessa has always had a crush on her best friends Dad but knew that it could never go anywhere. Things start moving fast when he goes for a walk in the forest with Tessa and before she knows it they are planning dates and forever together. First they need to get the blessings from Tessa Mother and from Angela Tessa's best friend and Trents daughter. Beautiful sweet, steamy, sexy story. Highly recommend this story. This book has light drama, an alpha SEAL, and a shy curvy woman who has always crushed on her best friends dad.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Tessa has put her future on hold to help her mother, now shes 21 and a waitress who love to take photos. At least she has her best friend. Then Trent retired from the SEAL's and came back home.
Neither expected what happened next.
Trent is looking forward to being close to his daughter full time. Then he sees Tessa and his move home is looking so much better.
The problem is they live in small town America, what will people say or think? What will his daughter say, will this end before it even begins?

When he is picking up his daughter he sees Tessa for the first time in years. He is struck with an instant attraction to this curvy young woman. Imagine his surprise when he learns that she is the best friend of his daughter. Tessa has crushed on Trent for quite some time. They have a connection that is undeniable but they also have some obstacles in the way of their happiness. Family accepting their relationship is their biggest concern. Love wins out in the end.

Fantastic book. Trent is a retired Navy SEAL and is back home to finally spend time with his daughter. The last thing he expects to see is her friend all grown up. When he looks at Tessa he sees forever with her. Tessa has always had a crush on Trent despite the age gap. They go together in secret until they can tell Trent’s daughter, and Tessa’s best friend, that they are together. Trent and Tessa prepare for the worst possible reaction while wondering if they can survive it. Kids, just kids.

Flora Ferrari has been a must read author for me for some time now and this book only justifies that decision. Ms. Ferrari is truly the queen of the alpha who knows what he wants and she knows how to grab onto her readers from the 1st page to the last with her storytelling and world building. Her characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ending. Trent and Tess's story is one of knowing what you want and going for it regardless of the circumstances. You will definitely be sorry if you miss this one!

Feels like a teenager wrote this.

This is my first book by this author. It will be my last. There are a lot of typos and childish writing in this. I feel like neither character acted their age. The H was a retired Seal, in his forties, but acted like a hot headed twenty year old. I won't go into all the other things that previous reviewers listed. But I was very annoyed by the way "smirk" was used to convey what these two characters were supposed to be feeling. For two people falling in love this word doesn't fit. And it was used in almost every paragraph.

I will pass on future books by this author.

I've read a lot of books written by Flora Ferrari; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.

She has written another great story of an older man/younger woman romance; the story is well written and I loved the chemistry between Tessa & Trent. Trent is a retired Navy SEAL who comes back to town, Tessa has always had a secret crush on him but never dreamed he would ever return the feelings beside the fact he’s her best friend Angie’s dad.

Trent retires from the military and is ready to spend more time with his daughter. Little does her know that the first person he sees back home will capture his heart. Tessa has always crushed on her best friend's dad but those feelings have not changed.
A young woman and an man almost twice her age can be taboo. A romance that builds and seeing how those around them react can be quite a ride. Yet this story left me desiring more drama but is still a good read either way.

I truly, honestly, completely wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!!! I absolutely, I mean ABSOLUTELY, loved it!!! 😍

This story was slow to begin with, but became increasingly enticing to the point where I could not put it down. I feel like the ending was incomplete, I wanted- for lack of a better word- more. I wanted to know more than what I was told; it came to a point where I just couldn't put this book down. Over all, this novel deserves a high rating because it was deliciously good.

The author has given us an older man/younger woman story that pulls you into their lives. When Trent retires from the military he plans on a quiet life with his daughter. However, as soon as he lays eyes on Tessa, all he knows is that she belongs with him. Too bad that she is the best friend of his daughter.

Another OTT insta-love story that I gobbled up like popcorn. These stories are my guilty pleasure. From the the completely unrealistic OTT alpha to the sweet curvy virgin, they just keep me in a happy state of mind. This story may not be set in a state of reality, but who needs that.

Another great book by a great author that you will just fall in love with. The characters Tessa and Trent are amazing and the love and chemistry between the two is amazing. I used to never like age gap books by Flora has definitely made them one of my favorites. Loved every part of this book and I especially enjoyed the epilogues!

Tessa & Trent...
These two have known one another for years as well as Tessa has worked for Trent. Now Trent is coming home and Tessa is unsure of her feelings for him and how it would hurt her best friend.
One look at Tessa and Trent knows she is the woman for him.
These two were incredible together. So much passion and love for one another and it really shows. There is a little intense moments that just made them stronger as well as their story. A really good one!

Word of advice to the author: the reader knows what line of work/ branch of military / etc. the character is part of without having to repeat it 50 million times and basically on each page. This was the most annoying part of the book for me and I almost stopped reading it due to this, which it not something I do. This book just didn't do it for me, the writing was just poor and the plot seemed very just blah.. thankfully it was short.

Another hot and steamy older man/younger woman romance with strong characters in Trent and Tessa. The author does a great job developing her story and pulled me in with the entertaining story line. She paints her scenes in vivid detail and moves the story quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed reading.
