Will the path he is heading on bring disaster to the Family
Twisted Crown is the second book in the Caruso Crime Cartel series which is the continuing story about Leonardo Caruso and Alessia Mariani. This book picks up where the first book, Broken Crown, ended and keeps up the fast pace and high energy story-line. Leonardo is now Don of the Caruso family after laying waste to those that plotted against him. He and Alessia are engaged and they are planning on getting married, with just no definite date until he gets the family business sorted out first. There are a lot of moving pieces to this story and it does jump ahead by several months at a time. So soon Leonardo and Alessia are married, she is back in college and there are a lot of things happening in the family business side of things.
I did enjoy this second part of the story and seeing how the power has been changing Leonardo over time. This also takes a toll on his and Alessia's relationship and her feelings towards him. The book is well written, has a good overarching story-line and the characters are still developing and also changing along the way. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, Betrayed Crown, to see what happens with the cliffhanger that Twisted Crown ends on.
