Can my fragile heart pick sides? Leonardo Caruso, the new don. All manner of misbehavior hides behind that smile as he says his vows to me. But would he bring ruin to the family? I had longed to lie in the sultry shadows of those abs, suffer the twisted fantasies behind that warm, loving gaze, tremor beneath the gentle touch, used to his advantage. To have and to hold. But for better or worse? Power would corrupt—his ambition would soar. Whose blood would he spill in the name of family? I’m caught between my father, a traitor, and the man who has my heart. As we drive, newlywed, into the fading sun, would the darkness soon consume us? This is book two in the Caruso Crime Cartel and best enjoyed by reading the series in order. This book contains mature themes and is best enjoyed by those over 18. Book 1 Broken Crown
This is the second book in the series, and I do recommend reading them in order. Leonardo and Sia’s story continue. Leonardo is the Don, and he plans on making big changes to ensure is power. Will that power change him and put Sia in danger? Fast paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Looking forward to the next book in the series. I liked it.
Will the path he is heading on bring disaster to the Family
Twisted Crown is the second book in the Caruso Crime Cartel series which is the continuing story about Leonardo Caruso and Alessia Mariani. This book picks up where the first book, Broken Crown, ended and keeps up the fast pace and high energy story-line. Leonardo is now Don of the Caruso family after laying waste to those that plotted against him. He and Alessia are engaged and they are planning on getting married, with just no definite date until he gets the family business sorted out first. There are a lot of moving pieces to this story and it does jump ahead by several months at a time. So soon Leonardo and Alessia are married, she is back in college and there are a lot of things happening in the family business side of things. I did enjoy this second part of the story and seeing how the power has been changing Leonardo over time. This also takes a toll on his and Alessia's relationship and her feelings towards him. The book is well written, has a good overarching story-line and the characters are still developing and also changing along the way. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, Betrayed Crown, to see what happens with the cliffhanger that Twisted Crown ends on.
Another fun quick read by Autumn Reign! This book brings us deeper into the life of Leonardo and his relationship with his Mafia and with Sia. There are a lot of plot twists in this short book, Autumn did a great job at weaving things into it to get us ready for the next book.
The reason I gave it a 4/5 was because I HATE books that jump in years within the same chapter, it gets confusing when one part of the book they're getting married and the next paragraph it's been a year.
Thankfully these books are released quickly so we don't have to wait too long!
Leonardo is the new Don of the Famiglia and his decisions seem to be making the Famiglia more powerful, but there are a few who aren’t happy with these changes: Leonardo’s father, who believes that his son and his greed and craving of power will end up running the family; his wife Sia, who with the passage of time is seeing how the man she fell in love with becomes more distant from her and is turning into a completely different man; as well as other members of the family who are planning his end. This is getting more and more interesting.
Now that Leonardo is the Dom of the Caruso Crime Family, it seems there are a lot of people who want to overthrow him. And the only thing Sia asked him on their wedding was not to change, but slowly he is becoming a more hardened person. How they maneuver through those that want to get rid of Leonardo and the changes in their relationship will make for some interesting reading. There is intrigue galore!!

Twisted Crown is part 2 of the Caruso Crime Cartel series and begins where part 1 stopped. It’s the continuing romance of Leonardo and Alesia. I love their chemistry. The mafia themed plot is very intriguing with so much drama and suspense. As in part 1, there is a cliffhanger. I’m definitely looking forward to part 3.
