It has been three years since the end of days was narrowly avoided. As the humans, demi-humans, and beastfolk struggle to pick up the pieces of a broken world, two unsettling figures arrive to sow the seeds of chaos anew. Alice, a human declaring herself the Fremd Torturchen—the Torture Princess from another world—has appeared without warning, accompanied by a masked man known only as Lewis. What is their goal? Why does Alice call Lewis “Father”? And why is she so determined to meet Elisabeth...? While their origins remain shrouded in mystery, one thing is certain—the bloodshed is far from over!
This is my first time writing a book review and English is not my first language, so forgive me if anyone finds this review to be amateurish.
Frankly, I find this volume very entertaining. After all, not many series deals with the aftermath of an apocalypse, especially for a world so unstable as the world of Torture Princess. The intricacies of the three-race politics is slowly creeping on us starting from Volume 4 and finally takes the center stage in this volume. I think this is the most politically heavy the series has ever gotten.
The gore is one of the selling points of TP and this volumes does not disappoint. Although the gory part is somewhat lesser compared to earlier volumes, it does deliver well. The author never ceases to surprise me with their imagination. Many thanks for the translator as well for providing such a vivid description.
This time, Elizabeth takes Kaito's role as the protagonist. I enjoyed seeing the world from her POV. Her internal thoughts regarding Kaito, and to an extend, Hina, is very endearing to me.
That's all from me. I'm looking forward to the next volume especially since the book ended at such a cliffhanger. I heard Volume 7.5 will be released first so looking forward to that too.

Keishi Ayasato does it again with his brilliant story-telling abilities! The intrigue is heightened after two of the main triad of main characters (Kaito and Hina) sacrifice their lives to save the world and Elizabeth is left in the aftermath to carry the torch. This volume was exciting from beginning to end with Ayasato's unusually beautiful light novel prose! Jeanne and Izabella confess their love to one another, most anime-related series only tease same-sex relationships like these, so I was shocked when it became fully canon. A new "torture princess" is introduced ("Alice") who is even more twisted than Elizabeth's former rival, Jeanne, and has a "Made in Abyss"-like relationship with her papa, Carroll, a mysterious magician with a plague doctor mask!
With Kaito's story now over, the story of Elisabeth and the rest of the world now begins. We meet Alice and her 'father', and learn about the horrors they've experienced as well as the horrors they wish to cause upon others.
