This is one of my favorite light novel series, and I'm sorry to see it end. It not only combines two isekai subgenres (yarinaoshi loop and reborn in another world), but it also makes the astounding decision to send its heroine onto the front lines of battle, rather than having her hang back and strategize. Kiara is competent, her relationship with Reggie is believable and sweet, and the stakes are just overall higher and the conclusion more rewarding than many others. It's just a good series, and even if you're a bit sick of the whole isekai thing, I'd still recommend picking this up.

With the destruction of one arch-nemesis, viscount Credias, Kiara and her prince only have to face one more enemy: the Queen. The Queen's behaviour is a bit odd and there are a lot more defective spellcasters then expected. Luckily, the Thorn Princess joins the struggle to free Farzia.

The final volume of the series was a good read and solid ending to the series. It answers a lot of questions both about events in the past and some on magic and world building as well. The battles and magic are well done, and the character developments are good (especially for the genre) if at times a tad dramatic (tragic villains and all that). No romantic drama though, just romance, which is good. There are obviously some loose ends, but those are the kind that allow the author to write a new series if they ever feel like it and not the ones that keep the reader wondering.

So all in all a good reading, and I am happy I pressed through volume 4 to finish the series.

I am so in love with this novel! It's been a while since I binge-read a series, and I devoured the whole series in two weeks, which rarely happens! (I am a slow reader). This light novel just cured my reading slump, and I'll be sure to read it again sometime. For now, I'll be checking out the author's other completed work.

A satisfying if truncated ending

The last book. I had a good time with this. Yes it's very trope heavy, like many light novels, but enough of a focus was placed on the over-arching plot and developing the characters to keep me engaged.
